Not thrilled with my nails. I went in to get a fill for shellac and I waited, like normal nail salons. When they finally came around to me, my nail lengths are all uneven. I told them and they tried to fix it but gave slight attitude. It still wasn't fixed when I left. They also charged me $40. $40 for a fill! I have never paid that much for all my fills at so many salons I have been to. Only a few days later, my nails are chipping and shellac looks horrible. I will never go back to them! Read Less

Honestly, I never review places but I felt like I needed to due to how bad my pedicure was. I have never had a worse pedicure. I came here years ago and had a similar experience, but decided to try it again because it's important to give businesses a second shot. There were still very old, ripped chairs and older equipment. My pedicure was maybe 25 minutes max, the massage was at most 2 minutes, part of which was my feet sitting on this roller that moves around and is very awkward. My nails were not cut well, my big toenail was botched and none of them were ever filed. Then the worst paint job I've ever had because you could see through it, it was uneven, and parts of some nails weren't painted. I know this sounds harsh, but honestly I don't understand how people go here and enjoy it. Frankly the person who did my pedicure was quite rude to me as well. I will never go back here, it was a huge waste of money and time. To everyone who goes here, there are such better places! Don't keep paying for a bad experience. Read Less

They need to post a sign saying, "Cash Only!" The older woman who did my pedicure on 12/18/15 told me their credit card machine was self-service. She pointed me to an ATM located inside their shop. When I told her I didn't have a pin number, she smiled and said she had to hold on to my credit card or drivers license while I went to the bank. Another customer who saw I was upset, told her she would cover my bill for me until I returned with the cash. When I arrived back, the older woman opened the envelope and counted it in front of everyone as if was trying I to rip her off when it was her fault for telling me she accepted credit cards when she didn't. We LOVE coming here for pedicures. I moved to Denver several years ago and still make a point of driving down to Monument - no one in Denver compares!Very clean salon run by a friendly family. I love seeing Cookie, the mini yorkie dog that's in the salon too! They really scrub your feet and thoroughly remove the dead skin (yuck!).  Pedicures include hot stones for your feet and a shoulder massage while your polish dries. I've found that they get busy during the obvious hours, but calling ahead has prevented any problems and I love having extra time to soak my feet and sit in the massage chairs.Pedicures are $32. Absolutely love this salon!  It is always clean and the owners and staff take pride in their work and service.  Very friendly and they greet everyone when they arrive and tell everyone good-bye when they leave.  An added bonus is their little dog that greets everyone!  They want to make sure their customers are happy with the results. I had my first visit at Queen's last weekend.  I was greeted by all of the staff.  They got me seated and going right away even though I was early.  The gentleman who did my nails did an excellent job - great shape, a lot of layers of polish, etc.  I found the lady owner to be very kind and attentive - even giving me a neck & shoulder massage while my nails dried.  I was very impressed! Maybe I'm just spoiled, being from Denver...but I walked in and out of this place before anyone even looked at my hands. It was two hours before closing and there wasn't a soul in there except for an older lady who hardly spoke English and her dog (which had had free reign of the store, gross) The kicker were the insane prices written on neon cardstock taped to the wall...if you want me to pay $45 for a full set before any art/shaping/color, you better be running a high end establishment. I got a pedicure a couple weeks ago here. The atmosphere wasn't very comfortable. It was silent, no music or radio playing, like at other places. Every breath I took could be heard throughout the room. I don't like that kind of environment. The staff is nice enough, but not overly friendly. And they have an adorable little dog! But I do wish they wouldn't let it jump onto your seat... The tools didn't seem as sterile as other places I've been too in Colorado. They just gave everything a quick wipe and the dead-skin scraper had rust on it, which I wasn't thrilled about. I thought about asking her to get another one. As far as the quality of the pedicure, it was well done, but not amazing. The color selection was sub-par; not very many to choose from. And unfortunately, the polish hasn't lasted as long as my previous pedicure did. I would go back, but I wouldn't highly recommend it. Read Less

Have to agree with the bad comments posted here. I will never go back to this place. I decided to get acrylics this weekend. Went to this place because it's convenient. The female owner rushed the job, my nails are extremely clunky and thick, one nail was put on slanted and she had the nerve to use that stand up comedy line on me- it's not the nail crooked, it's your finger. The male owner quasi fixed the problem but I still kept complaining that the acrylic was too thick and many of my nails were also just too wide, he said to make them thinner I would have to wait for my own nails to grow longer. Hmmm, that doesn't make any sense at all! I am going in there tomorrow in an attempt to get my money back because two of the nails just broke clean off. One because the acrylic was not adhered properly to my nail on the under side and was rough and bumpy and the other because I tried to pick up a book and it just snapped right off. The female owner complained the entire time the male owner attempted to fix my nails. This will be my 3rd trip in there and I won't let them try to fix the messed up job they did this time.Read Less

The customer service, to put it simply, was awful. I don't normally do reviews, but this nail salon was so awful that I had to write a review in hopes of warning others about this business. The owner of the salon did my manicure. She, before even starting my manicure, told me that I have to pay right then and there with cash before she started the work. She merely pointed to the ATM machine at the corner of the store and told me to "get money out and pay." After that, when I presented my choice of nail polish to her, she proceeded to tell me that the she didn't like the color at all. As a matter of fact, she hated it and that the color looks ugly. During the manicure she sneered at the fact that I my previous manicure was shellac and charged me an extra $20 for removing the shellac. Additionally, she tugged and prodded at my nails roughly during the manicure. All in all, it was an awful experience.Read Less

I agree with Bobbie who said that this is one of the more expensive places, but unfortunately you don't feel good about paying more here.  This salon appears to be owned by a wife/husband duo, the wife being the primary 'owner' I reference.  First, when you walk in you have to deal with the owner's dog barking and running around underfoot.  Please understand that I have a dog and love them... but I also know that they are unsanitary dirt machines and don't belong in this type of establishment.  Second, when the owner tried to make both of my hands fit into a tiny dish filled with  1/2 inch of nail polish remover, my hands started cramping and actually started to become uncomfortably cold.  After the third time of telling the owner that my hands didn't fit she only deemed it necessary to add a little more nail polish remover to the bowl -- and I gave up with attempting to remove the polish on both hands at the same time.  When that process was finished, she took the remainder of my nail polish remover and placed it into a mug.  Later, to my horror, I saw that she actually gave my discolored, used solution (along with whatever used nail polish remover medley was in that cup) to a new customer for soaking.  (I'm sure glad that I didn't have any open wounds on *my* fingers... who knows what else was in that mug.)   I had a gel manicure and was unimpressed at the results - it wasn't done as neatly as it could have been and only shows that the owner doesn't (a) care or (b) pay attention to detail.  I was charged $40 for this service (much more than what other salons charge) and had to pay cash because this salon doesn't take credit cards. I wish I could rate this place higher, but it just isn't appropriate - the questionable sanitary conditions, the attitudes, and the cost means that I'll only be coming back if NO PLACE ELSE is available. The worst experience ever! I took my 11 year old daughter here to get a manicure; it was supposed to be a nice mother-daughter event. My daughter bites her nails, so they are very short and aren't the most beautiful nails. Well, when the woman doing her nails first looked at them, she began to laugh; she then proceeded to hold my daughter's hand up to show a co-worker sitting a few chairs over, and they both laughed and began saying something, which my daughter couldn't understand. The whole time she was doing my daughter's nails, she was shaking her head and speaking under her breath. As if this was not bad enough, my daughter picked the nail polish she liked and set it on the table. The woman doing her nails said "yuck, eew, that is so ugly", then went and found another polish and painted my daughter's nails that color! I was not sitting near my daughter, so I did not see the woman laughing at her nails, but I did see her replace the color my daughter had chose, with another. As my daughter was drying her nails, she told me what had happened, and said "I never want to get a manicure again", she then started to cry. I was so furious, I am suprised I was able to control my anger. I attempted to explain to the woman that I would NEVER return to the establishment again and that she is an adult and should NEVER treat a child the way she did, but the lady told me she could not speak very good English, and therefore could not understand me! I'd give Queens 5 stars if it wasn't one of the most expensive nail salons in the area.  But it's worth it for me.  I've only gotten pedicures there, and they really do a great job.  I'm a runner, so my feet need a lot of TLC, and Queens provides it.  They aren't afraid to scrape my calluses or to make my black and blue toenails look pretty.  During drying, they put hot stones under your heals, and it feels so good!
