I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED I SENT MY 2 DAUGHTERS HERE WITH $60 AND WHAT THEY CAME BACK WITH WAS NOT WORTH THAT! THEY HAD AWFUL SERVICE, AND WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR NAILS, EACH NAIL HAD A HAIR, AND RIGHT WHEN ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS SAT DOWN TO EAT DINNER HER NAIL BROKE!!! MY OTHER DAUGHTER WAS WASHING HER HANDS FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES TRYING TO GET THE BURNING NAIL GLUE OF HER SKIN!! WE HAVE GONE HERE BEFORE AND IT WAS MUCH LIKE THIS! I THOUGHT TO GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE! I had a rebase done on my acrylic nails, The quality of work by the young man was not good, they lifted very quickly. I ended up getting an entirely new set two weeks later at a different place.Everyone was very friendly when they actually spoke to me but there was a lot of talking amongst themselves and I couldn't understand... I figured later they were discussing how much to charge me right in front of me knowing I wouldn't be able to understand what they were saying.When I was finished and went to pay there was an extra five dollar charge because my nails were "long". The extra charge was absolutely ridiculous as my nails are acrylic nails and not unusually long. Read Less

I went to Mimis last summer for a Mani-Pedi and got the best I've ever had. My finger polish  lasted at least 3 weeks, which is a record for me. And my toe polish stayed un-chipped until I finally took it off.And best of all for me, my nail tech respected my tickle phobia and didn't over-do the whole foot and leg massage. I went to get my nails done, but I was in a little bit of a hurry I walked in and said I needed a full set so they sat me down and a few ladies came in after me but they started helping them first. I waited 15 minutes for them to start on my nails once she put the powder base on she went to a lady who came in after me again... She did all of her nails completely before she even remembered I was there I had to ask three times before she came back to Finnish my nails 45 minutes after she had left me... Once she got back to me she was rude and acted like I was a problem.. worst service I've ever had here I've been coming here for years but after this I don't think I'll return the owner was the one that did my nails and she was VERY unprofessional and VERY rude. I got a customer that visited this salon 1 wk ago & had 3 broken acrylic nails that she needed fixed. I noticed they were lifting with mold already under the acrylic.After safe removal of all the nails, her natural nail was severely damaged & stained with green mold spots.The nails were applied wrong in the first place.i would not recommend this place to anyone. Terrible customer service! If you make an appointment, be prepared to be there for hours and hours.  I've been going here over 6 months as a regular, making regular appointments.  They mess up my appointment frequently and when I show up (on time or early) for my appointment, I'm made to wait for 40 minutes or more past my appointment time.  Then, while   I'm getting my nails or pedi done, I'm made to wait again so they can accommodate walk-ins who will get their nails done and walk-out before I am worked on.  I've been there 3.5 hours or 4 hours getting a simple pedi and acrylic fill (nothing fancy!). This is during the week - when it's not as busy.  If you value your time and appreciate being respected, move on. Read Less

To say the least, I ALWAYS go to a young lady there named Tiffany. She's done the best job on my acrylics whenever I get them done. The only downside is, even when I schedule an appointment with her, I end up waiting up to an hour after my scheduled time, because she gets caught up handling another client. All in all, I can say that this place isn't the best and neither are their prices, but if you find the right nail tech for you, it becomes worth going to. Read Less

Beware! The man who did my pedicure seemed distracted and rushed even though there was no one waiting. I wanted my nails to be buffed and he used the acrylic sander on the top of my toe nails. I told him I had never seen it done that way so he put it down and didn't do the other foot. The real kicker was when he went to remove the heel skin with a Dollar Store coarse cheese grater. I'm not kidding! Don't know what cosmetology school would teach or approve this methodology but I told him to stop and he put that "tool" away too. Didn't stay for a manicure, just paid the $25 and left. There also a strong toxic smell of polish in the shop that makes it rather unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend going here. Read Less

DO NOT GO HERE! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!I genuinely want to give zero stars but Yelp won't let me.I went in about 3 weeks ago for a Deluxe/Spa Pedicure right when they opened on a Saturday morning. First as a relatively tall female (5'7") I hit my head on their door chime upon walking in. I was greeted immediately, selected my color, and sat in the pedicure chair. The woman who did my pedicure started off doing a great job. I had a slightly ingrown toenail on my left foot and she diligently worked to remove it. This is where the trouble started. Although she worked really hard to remove the ingrown nail, she also went too far. She cut the nail almost all the way to the nail bed but stopped just short of it and left a little piece of nail lifted up. She noticed it but left it because I think she was worried she'd make me bleed if you had gone any further. Immediately I was in pain but figured it was just because she had been digging into my toe! Once finished shaping the rest of my nails she started on the hot stone part of the spa pedicure. She was rubbing my leg so hard with the bare hot stones that I could feel my skin start to get irritated. By this time a fellow employee had come in showing off a bunch of her recent purchases (shoes, jewelry, kids clothing, etc.) which had distracted my nail tech. She finally finished the pedicure and painted my toenails. Only problem is she barely covered the nail with the polish... I can do a better job painting my toenails than she did!Here's where it all starts to go wrong. The next few days after my pedicure I notice that the pain from her digging into my nail wasn't going away. A couple days later the pain was getting even worse. About a week later I was checking the nail and accidentally popped a puss blister from where she had been digging into my toenail. The next day it turned into a full blow infection. I ended up going to a podiatrist (foot doctor) less than 2 weeks later and had to have part of my nail removed because of the infection. Needless to say, I will never be going back here again. DeeDee and Tommy, the couple that runs the place, do a great job at nails.  Unfortunately, you often feel like you are one of the cattle in the herd of people they are trying to rush through. I've been going here for years, because no one else does powdered acrylic like they do, and no one does the designs they do. I've made appointments before, only to wait 1.5 hours to get my nails done.  For the best service, come on a weekday, torward the beginning of the day. Read Less

This would be a 5 star review except for a few unfortunate details. I go here often for their deluxe pedicure and I request Tomy because he really does an amazing job. Scrubs all callouses off, sculpts even difficult nails and it is important my feet are presentable because I am an Ashiatsu Massage Therapist which means I put my feet on people's backs. I travel all over and really Tomy is the best pedicure I have ever had anywhere. I am grateful for his attention to detail and all the niceties and the time taken to do the job well.Tomy and the great pedi's is why I will continue going and that would get you 5 stars right there.Alas issues I have encountered were, when I brought by daughter and three grand daughters in to celebrate one of their birthdays I was singing the praises of this place, telling them best work anywhere and so on and so forth. First problem, on two of the girls extra work was done that they did not ask for and we did not OK or agree to. At first I thought this was a "perk"? They charged us ten dollars for each child they did a 5 second flower paint on. No. Do not do services I do not request and then charge me for it.There is another place in town I no longer go to for this very reason. Adding things and charging when I did not want in first place and certainly did not agree to.An other major issue that was surprising and disappointing is during our 5 sessions which I made an appointment for, two of the techs  left the building, one for 45 minutes. I don't know anyone who has the time to sit  somewhere for 45 minutes mid mani. Then deluxe mani for which I paid full price was minimal at best. all together maybe 15 minutes spent on hands.  I don't do nail polish so I am paying for the massage and moisturizing, shaping and other nice details.It's true there may be a slight cultural barrier but I left wondering if I have been played because these are intelligent people who  are skilled techs and successful business folk so maybe the language and cultural differences are played up to charge for details not requested or OK'd? Don't think this place is as clean as some others.  Been having my nails done for years.  Had them done here for a couple months then moved on due to language barriers. About 4 weeks later, discovered I had nail fungus issues.  Had to have come from here.  Also very disappointed that after 4 months of bi- weekly visits they didn't treat me or greet me differently than they did first time guests.  BEWARE! I went here expecting to get a strip-mall 2nd rate experience and was pleasantly surprised!  The salon was bright and clean, lots of new massage chairs and the service from all the staff was very, very friendly.  There were a few regulars in and conversation was smiling and pleasant, as it was with me and my manicurist by the end of the visit.Very happy with the basic mani-pedi I got!  Came in with no appointment (although I did call ahead to see how busy they were - after work hours right before a holiday weekend) and was seated right away.  No bubbles in the polish, no mess to touch up later, good shape to the nails and a great scrub and massage to the legs.  Only complaints were that I would have liked a hotter foot bath (easily remedied next time) and a bigger selection of polish colors.  I will absolutely be going back. I wanted a plain old pedicure at a good price.  Everywhere I called charged way too much and offered too many extra fancy services. At Mimis I had great service for just $25.   I made an appointment but could have walked in. Cindy (usually works each day after 3 PM) not only carefully did my nails but also gave a nice leg massage. I was offered a drink and enjoyed my tea.  I found the salon to be clean with a calm, pleasant atmosphere. The equipment was in a sterilized bag.   Assuming the polish stays on well, I will be going back to Mimis. Read Less
