I've been here twice, my 1st experience was great hence that is why I came again. My 2nd experience was SUPER Frustrating and I am not happy with the service I received. I went in to meet my friend to get pedicures together. She had arrived 7-10 min earlier than I did but I was finished with my pedicure 10-15 min. before her. The guy who was working on my feet was in a big fat hurry and did a half-A job. I asked him if he could buff my heels and sides of my feet a little bit more because my feet have been like Velcro to everything. His response was "No, I can't do anymore you need to keep coming in to keep your feet soft." My heels are still very scratchy. -_- I don't get pedicures very often so when I do I look forward to being pampered a little, But I didn't feel that way at all today. He rushed through my service and as soon as he was done he went in the back grabbed his coat and ran out the door. So I guess it just depends on who works on your feet. I don't give out 5 stars arbitrarily. I got a pedicure from Mia and it was great. And to be fair, I am admittedly picky about my toes and nails. She was friendly and did exactly what I asked for. She was efficient but I did not feel like she rushed. That is a pet peeve of mine is when the nail tech rushes because walk-ins are coming in and your nails suffer because of it. I tried this place for my first time. It was okay. The staff was nice and the lady who did my pedicure did a really massage. My nails in the end turned out good. I was more disappointed with the professionalism though. They would be on their phones a lot and one of them sat down in the chair next to me and started eating food. Came here for a start of summer celebration pedicure and gel mani with a friend. The friend who referred me to HD said they were meticulous and affordable- totally accurate. I can't STAND when my gels are ragged at the cuticle because I know they'll peel in a week. HD did an OUTSTANDING job and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the polish work on both my fingers and toes. The mint scrub pedi was $30 and the mani with gel $30. Can't beat it! Read Less

HD nails is super close to my apartment and I've probably been 4-5 times in the last few years.1) Although they take walk-ins (their front door even says walk-ins welcome), I'd call first to make an appointment. I stopped in once assuming I could get in, and they had no appointments until the following day. I've also seen others walk in, and immediately walk out (sometimes in a huff) because they can't be taken care of immediately.2) They have a punch/rewards card. I keep losing mine so I'm not sure what the benefits are!3) Prices are affordable: $25 for a basic pedi, a bit more for a deep scrub pedi. Check their site for prices.4) Bring a book or magazine bc getting a network connection here is iffy. I'm on Verizon and in the front of the store I get 2 bars, at the pedicure chairs 1 bar. Or I guess you could daydream or meditate or talk to the person next to you.5) You can bring your own nail color if you'd like. Most of their color selection is vintage opi. At my previous pedi I got a bright orange color and the tech tried to return the bottle to me, thinking it was mine; maybe someone left it behind from a previous appointment. Gel nail colors are separate and you can find those at the nail desks.I'd say their service can be uneven depending on the tech. I got talked into a gel manicure over a year ago and I will never do it again - I chose a bright blue color which was almost empty but didn't notice until the tech was halfway through - it left obvious streaky marks that stayed with me for quite a while. Gel manicures can be rough to remove as well and it took a while for my nails to recover from that. Never again for me, but I know some others like it.Yesterday I had a pedicure by an older gentleman and at first I felt a bit skeptical but he did a great job! My last pedi was rough - I actually cringed in pain a few times but then again my feet turn into hooves over the summer from wearing sandals and flip flops - but I will always return because they are affordable, close, and the techs are friendly. I've never been to a nail salon since we've moved to Colorado and I wasn't sure where to go. I found HD Nails on Yelp and with all the reviews figured I'd give it a shot. I'm sitting here waiting for my nails to dry and so happy I picked this wonderful salon. I'm super relaxed and my nails look beautiful. I highly recommend this place and will be back again soon. I was a walk in on a Monday, very hesitant because I had been going to another shop for the past 2 years, I was getting really poor service there so I looked on line and read the other reviews on they had the most stars in my local area. Well they did not disappoint, I am very pleased with their prompt service and what a nice job! I get pink and white gel, she fixed my rebase very well. I would recommend this shop, oh and the shop was very clean and the pedi chairs looked comfortable. I haven't had a pedicure yet so stay tuned. Everyone I spoke with said they do nice work. I haven't had acrylic nails for seven years and Jenny took such perfect care of me and gave me exactly what I wanted.I got nails and a standard pedi for a really great price. The girl giving the pedi was awesome, she was getting the side of the toe nail that some people are timid to 'handle' so I appreciated that she communicated with me & I told her to 'get in there' lol and I was so happy for her to clean my feet up so well! You can add on a callus remover for $8 or so, as an additional step to the standard! Great deal for a good product and food scrub.She shaped my nails perfectly and took care of all my sensitivity needs. We communicated so easily back and forth, it was really nice to be able to have a conversation and it built the trust immediately.I would highly recommend this place, however .... I came here because of the four-star rating. When I walked out, I was very satisfied but less than 48 hours later my opinion has plummeted. I had a pedi and a mani. The mani seemed to be done extremely quickly but when I got home, I saw a gouge on my left thumb and marks on my right pinky. This afternoon, just two days our, I had that "broke a nail" sensation and the entitled right corner of my left hand pointer ringer nail had flipped up and was just hanging. No bail breaks ha, just polish. I'm here on biz so looked around for a fixThe salon I found fixed me up for another $10 but her reactions were priceless especially to the assymetric nails and mandatory move dates. I've been getting lashes for almost 5 years straight and have seen dozens of lash techs over the years, everywhere from Abbotsford to Calgary, and I have to say that Nancy is the absolute best I've been to. Went in for tips and was very pleased with the service! Henry was my nail tech, and he was very professional. Very meticulous about shaping and making them look as natural as possible. Went with the classic french and love the way my nails came out. The rest of the staff was very nice and fairly professional, although Henry took a couple short calls while working on my nails. The facility is very clean and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Prices are so reasonable, and service is perfect. I definitely recommend going here! Read Less

I went today to get my nails done I appreciate your time in getting the two nails off with the metal decals after I got home and really checked my nails I wasn't impressed with them at all I understand your a newbie at this and out of school but after throughly looking at my nails I cried I paid $42 for nails that didn't look very good I had to go else where to get them fixed I was thinking of asking for half my $ back!!! Great place! I don't think it's a chain and it's super close to my house. They are super kind and very good. I enjoyed a pedicure and think I have found my new regular place. I love this place and hope they update their nail polish selection. It was all vintage OPI, which is fine. I simply prefer the latest colors and trends. Read Less
