Alyssa makes my day every time I go to Aura for a haircut - my hair looks beautiful every time, and I have great time talking to Alyssa! Best stylist I've ever had. Additionally, the spa services are great - my husband and I went in for a Valentine's couples massage last month, and he did it for me because he has never liked massages in the past, but they made us feel so comfortable that he liked it for tre first time! Not impressed! Front desk staff was rude and caddy. I recently started a job on Shaffer Pkwy and am looking for a place for massages, waxing, Botox and nails that is near the office so I can pop in around the lunch hour. I stopped in and asked about their services and a quick tour. No one wanted to show me around. They wouldn’t even open the door to the nail room until I asked twice. I don't get haircuts as often as I should so I never go back to the same stylist. I also don't really do anything with my hair. I booked an appointment with Heather without having too much of an idea of what I wanted to do besides getting a lot of my dead hair the hell off my head. Heather right off the bat gave me her opinion on the kind of cut I should go for based on my type of hair. Heather knows her business and she seems to be really passionate about it. She knew after looking at my hair for about twenty seconds that it had been a year since I'd last had a trim. She gave me a lot of tips on how to better take care of my hair and answered a lot of my questions and was really honest. My hair feels and looks sooooooo much better. Heather really worked a miracle on my Raggedy Ann hair and made me actually enjoy my hair instead of it just being stuff that grows from my head. As a busy mom I don't take enough time for myself but when I do, Aura is the most relaxing, amazing salon. I get to sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine. After much research, I went to Aura to get permanent brows done. This was the best experience ever! First of all, the salon is beautiful. The surroundings are comfortable and relaxing. Julia was absolutely wonderful and allayed any doubts I had about permanent makeup! She listened to what I wanted and consulted me every step of the way. This place knows what they are doing. Period.Alessandra has color corrected, cut, colored and done the  "the smoothing treatment" with my hair.  I drive an hour each way and it's worth every minute. This particular stylist is edgy and sassy, and I believe she's been in this industry for 13 or 14 years and is a Master Stylist.  She is excellent, and from what I know the whole staff is as well. The salon itself - when you walk in you are taken back by the relaxing feel of the space. Lots of natural lighting, super clean, beautiful chandeliers, AND on Saturdays they offer you wine. While you wait and get you salon/spa services "taken care of". The receptionists are focussed and pay attention to what you need whether it's over the phone or at the front desk.  They have been trained well and it shows. This is a classy and well-managed salon. Nice vibe. Way out west, but worth the drive. Heather Parker has been cutting my hair for years, and she's the best. THE. BEST. She was trained by Toni & Guy, and they have an international reputation for great haircutting. I have insanely thick hair and she's the only stylist I've known that isn't scared of it.  She cares about making me, and all her clients, look and feel great. Go to Wendy, she fixed my haircut by heather. Not thrilled I paid and tipped heather and then just paid another $20 today to tip Wendy for her time but obviously she deserved something since she took the time to fix the awful haircut that I received last week from heather. Read Less

The hand airbrushed spray tans are quick, easy, not awkward and look way better than a normal booth spray tan, night and day better. No complaints with the massages, facials, pedis, or packages we've tried. Plus Jenny took my hair from nearly black to a legitimate blonde without killing it so I am forever in her debt for that. First, let me say that Heather is amazing and I have never loved my hair as much as I do now that she's my stylist. I was recommended to Aura by my previous hairstylist when I moved to this area last year. When I made my first appointment, I decided to do it in person because, well.... choosing a new hair person when you're going from hair past your shoulders to a pixie cut is absolutely terrifying, and I wanted to be sure whoever I scheduled with was aware of what they were getting themselves into. The receptionist (I'm sorry I don't remember her name) listened to what I wanted and knew right away who would be the best fit for me. As soon as I sat down in Heather's chair and started talking through what I wanted, she understood immediately what I was going for. She was knowledgeable, inviting, professional, and cool as hell, and she did an incredible job cutting and styling my hair! I've gotten a chance to chat with a colorist there as well and it's obvious all of Aura's staff is well-trained in their craft as well as excellent customer service. I relocated to CO a little over a year ago from the South and immediately began looking for a new hair salon. I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I have VERY thick, coarse hair which can be very intimidating to many stylists and honestly takes a good stylist to manage it. It takes a good 3+ hours to do my hair if I get a cut and color (balayage) in the same appointment. This has been the story of my life forever and makes finding a new salon very tricky. I've been to salons in the past who try to rush the process, mess the cut of my hair up, make me feel like they never want to do my hair again, etc. From day 1 at Aura, I knew this was my new salon. Heather gave me an excellent cut and really took her time to get to know me, my hair, and provide a full consultation about products, styling, etc. Additionally, she hooked me up with Wendy to do the color on my next appointment. She was very upfront about the fact that she is great at cutting and Wendy is great at coloring and she was not wrong, they are the perfect duo for my hair. Yes, I did pay more than I previously had but it is worth every single penny. In the past year, I've seen Heather 4x for a cut now and Wendy 2x for color. I'm not one to go to the salon every 6-8 weeks for cuts and colors because I don't need it, however I've had cuts and colors in the past where in 6-8 weeks it was a mess. Not here, hands down the best! The color and cut grows out exceptionally well. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair over the past year. It hard to give an overall review for Aura in general because I've only ever seen Heather & Wendy, however the booking process has always been smooth, everyone is always friendly when I've been in, and they have hired top notch stylists who are up to date on their education, so they have to be doing something right.
