My full set acrylic didn't set right the first time. One ended up braking an hour after I got home and they were all separating from my actual nails on the underside. I made an appointment for the next day and they were very willing to correct the mistake. It was either the owner or manager, I didn't get her name, who told me they would redo them. She was great! Trying to figure out why the city has not shut them down. They are violating tax laws. If you write a check you have to make it out to the owner as an individual. This place has great service and everyone is so friendly. I've had a good experience every time, however Hannah specifically does a phenomenal job, with shellac, pedis, and especially the dip mani. I've had it done other places and it's been either too thick or sloppy. She is extremely thorough, listens to what you want, and is very sweet! Definitely recommend her. Read Less

Z nails is One of the best nail salons that I have been to, and I've been to quite a few. I had my nails done, but a couple were just not quite right for me - totally my fault, I should've said something when they were done initially by Ann, who did an excellent job but I prefer extra, extra thin tips. I went back and spoke to Deena who went above and beyond to make sure that they were done to my liking. *******Out of all the reviews, please read this one!!!*******This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to.  I came here 7 years ago and the service was terrible, but my daughter convinced me to go since her friends told her it was better these days. Do not let looks deceive you. Sure, it is pretty and all, but the prices are outrageous compared to other salons, and the service is better elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. I went in on a Sunday evening(11/05/17) and was the last customer. I requested a Shellac Mani/Pedi.  The lady that did my nails was very nice and all, however, by Tuesday night, all of my nails were lifting/peeling off.  I PAID $99 FOR A SHELLAC MANI/PEDI!!! It was my own stupidity for not checking prices before entering, however, who does this owner think she is?The quality of her products are no better than any other salon which is why I never expected it to run 30% more expensive than other nail salons.  She did not clean my cuticles properly and even some of the polish was on my cuticles.  I did not see this until the next day when I called to let them know I would be in Wednesday to have my nails re-done, because it was late at night when I left and I too was tired.  I went in on Wednesday, and the ladies were arguing because they weren't going to get paid for doing my nails since it was a re-do, so I watched them argue with the receptionist for about 10 minutes before they got started.  Finally one lady started to do my pedicure and remove the Shellac. She recommend that I do dip nails(I had never heard of this) and said it is stronger than shellac. For my toes they couldn't do dip, so they decided to color match with a regular polish on my toes instead of shellac. The color did not match my dip nails at all. it was like a nude pink on my toes with a dark purple on my hands.  At the end I was told I still needed to leave a tip for the ladies, ok, fine. They did re-do my nails, so they gave me a gift card of $19 for the difference of just having a regular nail polish pedicure( I wanted my cash back, but the owner refused), but had the gall to charge me $3 more for the dip nails. I ended up using the $19 to tip the ladies because there was no way I would ever come back to this garbage of a nail salon. To top it off, I asked the lady if she could check my toes before putting my socks back on to which she responded "it is dry, go ahead and put your socks and shoes on". So I get home, go to bed with my socks on. The next day, I wake up and remove my socks and there is nail polish stuck to my socks and on my toes, the imprint was left from my socks. This was the crappiest nail job I have ever had in my life. This place needs to be shut down due to shotty, expensive, and terrible customer service. Clearly this owner is greedy(Dina I believe her name is). How could you not take care of your customers? 7 years later, the service is still terrible and your products aren't worthy of the additional cost. When I asked why it was so expensive, the lady told me the rent had increased and therefore she had to increase the cost of services. I should have had my nails fixed properly at the very least, and gotten a refund.  The owner is the one who hires her employees and therefore is ultimately responsible for the satisfaction and proper service of her customers. Please do not ever go here. You have been warned. Also, if I could give it no stars, I would. Got a manicure and pedicure. The treatments were great but little attention was given to shaping the nails. All my toe nails pointed to the right (longer on the left side) and I had to refile when I got back home. The finger nails were not the same length and were done pointy or extremely oval when I said square but round the edges. I only had my toe nails painted and when she offered clear polish for the fingernails I agreed. But then she totally forgot and buffed the nails instead. I should not have to repeat myself and the nails should be filed to give the appendix a nice finishing shape. Read Less

Called 5 minutes ahead making sure walk in's were welcome, receptionist was nice and assured me they could get me in right away. I was introduced to Tina who was welcoming and did a wonderful job! Absolutely terrible service. I'm a cosmetologist and nail tech myself just to keep in mind as I write this review. Late last week my sister in law went here to get her nails rebased with shellac before our sisters wedding Saturday. First off, she works in Belmar so she came here on her lunch break and called me crying after leaving because her nails were all chipped on the sides and jagged and bumpy. She sent me a photo and they looked like those ugly bubble nails but not ev...en smooth. Second, she got a paraffin wax and THEY DIPPED HER HAND DIRECTLY INTO THE WAX POT INSTEAD OF INTO A BAG. Soooo unsanitary and I have called DORA and will be calling the BBB. Third, the tech cut her cuticles multiple times and made her bleed. They did not do a proper blood spill procedure as I have learned to do and instead dipped her fingers into a green antiseptic. When my sister brought up how jagged and chipped her nails were, the tech told her it would wash off!! They charged her $49 for this service and she ended up having to go to another shop and pay $33 to get them fixed. She had to have them entirely removed and she now has infection where she was cut as well. She went back and asked for a refund before getting them fixed elsewhere, they refused. She asked if another tech could simply fix them and was told it would be another $45 to fix. This is unacceptable and the techs and workers need training in customer service and nail certifications all over again. I have informed many of my Cosmo friends who are as well sharing my post. Not many people will be coming here again. And the manager as I've seen is very passive in only saying "oh we'll work on it. Please inform us and we can work on it" no. And then DEMAND another $45 to fix your garbage mistake? No. That's not how that works. This is not the first time I have heard bad things from this nail shop. And I am sure it won't be the last. I've gone here a few times for pedicures and to get my nails done and overall, they do a good job. The quality is good but they always seem rushed and seem to be pretty expensive compared to other places in the area. At times, they seem to be lacking a front desk receptionist and Calls to try and schedule appointments can go unanswered. I stopped frequenting them a couple years back bc it was nearly impossible to book an appointment due to continued "phone issues" and no one at the front to answer incoming calls. I recently gave them a second chance and overall they did good. However, I booked a lunch time appointment today and when I arrived, though there were 4 people sitting around doing nothing, I was told I had to wait for someone to come back from shopping at Best Buy bc he "was next in line."  When you book an appointment for someone, and there are 4 people doing nothing you should accommodate, not make them wait.  The fact that I was there for my scheduled appointment and the nail tech wasn't caused so much issue that those that were there and available seemed to be arguing in front of me about who could take my appointment. Moved here almost two years ago from NJ and wanted to continue my mani-pedi up keep a man. I went to a few truly upscale salons and my gosh was I ever disappointed from the service to the rude chick at the counter. I happen to find Zenails by accident a few weeks before our wedding. By far the BEST service and my incredible tech Dea is the best in the business at what she does. From the moment you walk in the door you are treated like a friend and the methods Zenails uses is state of the art. So whoever gives this incredible business a bad rating is TRULY WRONG! I went here for the first time on a Sunday as a walk-in customer. The man who did my regular manicure was very detail oriented and a pleasure to talk with. I got the sea scrub manicure, which was a basic manicure with an exfoliation treatment, for $28. The  basic manicure without the treatment was around $23. The space here is very clean and nicely decorated. The location is convenient as it's within one block's walking distance to Belmar area shopping/restaurants. Overall, this is not the more inexpensive nail salon in the area, but due to the great location and good service, I'll be back again. Read Less

If you care at all about your nails or customer service DO NOT GO HERE. I was in town from Dallas helping a friend move and broke my thumbnail the first day in town, so I went to Zenails to get them redone before I left. HUGE MISTAKE. First, I when I walked in the receptionist was very rude and couldn't even be bothered to stand up where I could see her over the desk to speak to me, and when she did speak she was very short with me. I informed them I had a friend coming, but... when she arrived halfway through my nails being ruined, they told her in the rudest way possible they didn't have time for her. No offers to set up an appointment, no apologies for the inconvenience, nothing. Second, they do the dip powder, which apparently isn't as popular as where I'm from because most nail salons don't offer it where I was staying, but they don't know how to do the full process from start to finish properly, so I ended up with 3 different people working on my nails at one point or the other. Every single person that touched my nails cut me with the drill (not the skin around my nails, my nails them selves were damaged. I could feel the heat of the drill repeatedly, which means they have cut the surface of the nail and opened a place for bacteria to enter) which with the nail process I was getting done there is absolutely no reason to use the drill to that level where it could cut you. If you don't know how to do something, then don't offer the service. I didn't realize until later that all my nails are completely different shapes and that while their length matched the same finger on the other hand, they don't match each other at all. My thumb nail is basically right at the tip of my finger and the pinky extends a full quarter inch past the end of my finger, so it looks extremely trashy. Third, they charged $45 for a subpar service when the same service costs $25-35 anywhere else I've ever been, and doesn't look awful. The real cherry on top of my terrible visit was when I went to open a ziplock bag the next day to pack and go back home and my pointer finger nail broke right in half. As soon as I got home I went to my normal nail salon to have them fixed, but we ended up having to completely remove and do NOTHING to my nails because of how badly damaged they now are and because the broken nail apparently broke because it got infected from them cutting me (the pain in that nail is awful, I can feel my heartbeat in it), so I have to wait at least a week for my usual nail salon to be able to fully correct the damage the people at Zenails did. I legitimately don't understand how this place can stay in business if that's how they do things. TL:DR zenails doesn't know how to fully perform services they offer, are extremely rude, and gave me a sever nail infection from repeatedly cutting my nail with the drill. See More Read Less

Best experience I've ever had at a nail salon..! Me and my sister came in for a mani pedi, and Dee who was my tech and David who was my sisters tech were phenomenal.! The fact that this establishment is highly rated by yelpers concerns me a lot.My two girlfriends and I decided to get pedicures last Sunday, May 29th.The technicians seemed rushed and didn't do a great job. All three of us were disappointed - they didn't do a great polish job and we paid $94 for two pedicures. Seriously?! I have never had so many compliments on my hands before I met Don! I like to get acrylic nails with gel overlays and he makes them look so perfect and natural, they're never thick or too long. He also does incredible nail art- I don't know how he does it but he makes it last until my next appointment! I've recommended him to friends who don't live in the area and they'll drive 20 minutes out of their way to see Don regularly! The entire staff is very friendly and I'm always greeted warmly. This place is a little more $$$ than the average nail salon but it's worth it because of it's cleanliness, welcoming staff, and incredible services (the pineapple enzyme pedicure is fabulous!) and the fact that Don works there!
