This review is for microblading with Vinny at the College location. Before booking this appointment I had done a ton of research! I actually had an appointment somewhere else, but I switched after seeing the PhiBrow technique and Vinny's before and after photos on Instagram. I am SO glad I did. It was a perfect choice for me because I have very few natural brows and this technique looks the most natural to me. They are a bunch of tiny hair strokes made to look like your natur...al brow. On the day of my appointment I went in and was brought back to a quaint room and quickly made to feel comfortable with something to drink and information on what would take place. I was extremely nervous (I almost passed out! 😅 I have never had a tattoo or anything, so I had no idea what to expect) Vinny was kind and talked me through every single step. Before I knew it my brows were drawn on and we were starting. The entire process was about 2 hours. It didn't hurt at all, it was sort of a scratching feeling. Vinny talked with me about aftercare and sent me on my way. I will say once you are done with the actual microblading part, TRUST THE REST OF THE PROCESS. It can seem scary, they get super dark, it looks like chunks of color are falling out, but do not fret, if you care for them properly they WILL turn out. I ran out of ointment and messaged Vinny, he was quick to return my message and very helpful. Today I went in for my touch up. It was a quick appointment as I only had a few little spots that didn't take well the first time. Vinny is warm and welcoming and very good at what he does. I recently had my touch up microblading appointment with Ly and she is truly an artist at what she does. When it comes to putting something semi-permanent on my face, I knew I needed the best. She came recommended to me by a friend and now I’m passing that strong recommendation on to everyone that considers Ly. Don’t let the price scare you away. I had looked at others work that charged less but their quality of work was no where near Ly’s. My nails came out pretty nice. They did file pretty hard I had a little cut on my pinky but they tried to make it up with complimentary glitter. Kinda pricey I had a refill with shellac which cost me $50. I do like that they have a point system that gives you rewards. Read Less

$50 for a rebase is absolutely outrageous! I understand that gel polish is extra but I usually pay $35 for a rebase at my usual salon and $45 for a full set. I would be more okay with the price if I was in love with my nails, but they look awful. The shape is not even consistent and my nails are chunky from poor polishing techniques. My 16-year-old daughter wanted to have her eyebrows micro-bladed for her birthday, and I was very skeptical of the process to the point where I wasn't going to let her get it done. Prior to the process, my husband and I went and spoke with Ly, the owner of the salon. Not only did she walk us through the process and make us feel comfortable, but I ended up getting my eyebrows done, too! And, a few weeks later, eyelash extensions. When I committed to doing Microblading, Ly at Timerbline spa was the most amazing artist to help sculpt my perfect brows. I had researched this technique for over a year and was almost ready to commit to a lady that traveled between Vegas and Denver for her work. For the cost and length of time it can last, I needed to make my decision with 100% certainty that I felt the technician could give me exactly what I wanted. The WORST experience I've ever had at a salon. They rush you, they're rude, overcharge, and do a terrible job. I was rushed the first time I came here and only gave them another chance because someone made us a surprise appointment here. So they were busy, but even with an appointment she rushed and did such an awful job I had her remove the nailpolish and still got charged full price. You go to a salon to feel pampered, not to feel like an annoyance or burden. Absolutely terrible experience twice now. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. Read Less

Timberline Nails will not see me again. They are always late when I make an appointment and not just a few minutes but 20-30 minutes late, every time. The shop is dirty and in my opinion very unsanitary. I have found a new place that is much better AND less expensive for the same services. Read Less

Poor experience, I schedule to have a micro blading treatment done on April 18 at the timberline nail and spa. However upon being taken back to the space they use for micro blading I became very uncomfortable with the atmosphere. It felt cluttered and unsanitary so I declined the services. Ly Nguyen proceeded to advise me that I would not be refunded my hundred dollar deposit even with the situation. The people were kind and the service was fast upon arrival. Although, my acrylic nails seem structurally sound the style is not worth the price. I did a colored powder rebase ($50) and was told she knew how to do pink and white ombré. It is not blended well and I asked twice if she could make the white less noticeable. I like this place and I keep coming back because it’s close to where I live. Here are my concerns; the pedi chairs are old and broken down, every technician doesn’t always use manicure tools that are clean or come out of those plastic sealed bags. It’s not very clean and the towels are all old and stained. The last time I went my nails were great but my pedicure was bad; blotchy polish, uneven nails . . . Also, there was a young girl watching over someone’s shoulder training. Are they licensed? I don’t know. It’s a crap shoot. Go there if you want to. The techs are very nice. Read Less

I typically go to the location on College, but decided to go to this one because I was by it. I've tried this location awhile ago and was not pleased the first time. The first time I got a shellac manicure and the polish didn't even last a full week. It literally peeled off. Today I went and got a fill with shellac over it. When I went to the College location for the exact same thing they charge $45, but today it was $50 over here. Why try and rip someone off $5? I don't get it. My nails look good, but then again I thought they looked good before and they didn't last. I've been to nail places before where they lie about the price and it's just such a huge turn off. This was my first time here and I will not be returning. My mom and I wanted to have a relaxing mani/pedi day but it was anything but that. Not organized from the start and the women who did our nails were arguing and rude to us. We had questions but they seemed too annoyed to answer them. Didn't seem like the cleanest nail salon either. We did not feel at all welcome and were uncomfortable the entire time we were there. They also kept pressuring me to get gel instead of using regular polish because it would last longer. I brought my sister and 2 nieces here for a girls day out gift.  We all wanted pedicures.  They don't want to know what service you want when you make the appointment,  nor do they want to know when you get there.  They want you to tell your technician.   Fine.We go pick our colors and sit in the chairs.   I tell all of the technicians we want pedis.  The 2 girls wanted princess pedis (which just FYI, the gift bag is only candy).  My sister and I got deluxe pedis.  One of the techs working on my niece asked my sister if they wanted matching hands ?  Not knowing what I had asked for, she said yes.  As soon as he grabbed her hand I said, no manicures, just pedicures.  He said, no manicure,  just matching her toes.  I said only pedi and they painted both of my nieces hands.   At the end, they wanted to charge me $10 extra each girl.   A full mani (which he didn't do) is $12.  So, of course I complained.  I'm sorry, but you decided not to listen to me.  I'm not paying.  After a few back and forths, they didn't charge me.   This was a gift and it made me and my sister uncomfortable.   Beware they will try to upcharge you.    My sister's  tech was very friendly.  Mine made me feel like i was disturbing her.  She seemed in a  hurry.  The 2 were complaining about something not being fair. I'm giving it 3 stars because my nieces enjoyed their 1st pedi experience and my sister was pleased as well.  If they hadn't ignored me when I said just pedis and then tried to charge me $10 a piece for something other salons charge $5 for, i may have uped it to 4.  Probably won't be back. I just went in for the first time today. It was amazing. I went in for a simple manicure. My technician did such an amazing job shaping them and painting them that I don't even believe they are really my natural nails. My nail tech left acrylic all over my fingers then said it would have come off if I had used the nail brush. The nail brushes were not labeled as to which are dirty and which are sanitary, Which I am sure is a safety and sanitation issue. He also cut my pinky on my left hand and my right ring finger from filing. I am allergic to shellac and he kept questioning me about it and pressuring me to choose shellac instead of a normal polish, Saying he had never heard of anyone being allergic to shellac as if to say I was lying. I had gone to a different salon before to get my nails done and I came to timberline because I was not satisfied with my experience before and I felt like he was trying to imply that it was my fault that my nails were not done correctly. I do not know the name of my technician because he never bothered to introduce himself.The only thing I can say that was good about my experience was that he was very quick, I did appreciate that. I took my daughter there on Sunday and the girl Sandy was the one who did my daughter nails. She was very rude and did not say a word to my daughter while my daughter was trying to have a conversation. For god sake she is only 6 and it was her birthday, she said she was trying to talk but Sandy didn't want to talk to me, she didn't like me. My heart broke. I was doing a pedi while waiting for her, noticed my daughter was sitting by herself so I asked her to come sit next to me. Then the girl Karen who did my nails offered her drinks and got her entertained. I went in last week for the first time. I've been looking for a nail salon since moving from Chicago ( my place there was top notch!). The no chip manicure I received at Timberline Nails was one of the worst I have ever had, not an exaggeration. The work was done sloppy and quickly. It had air bubbles at the tip of each nail that chipped after 5 days. The lady also filed my nails, that were perfect shape when I went in, down to almost nothing! They were left short and inconsi...stent in shape l. To top it off, she was texting the whole time I was receiving my mani. Spending $40 and receiving the service I did, was incredibly disappointing. This would have been a 1 star review based on that experience, but I contacted the salon and they asked me to come in to see what they could do. They were very accommodating and professional and had one of the more advanced technicians redo my nails for no charge. They dealt with it so well and that to me, says a lot about how they do business. I don't live here in fort collins but whenever I do come back to visit I will come and see her!! I highly recommend this place. I honestly don't know if I'll be back. I was looking for a new place to get my nails done. The place I had gone to for years took a sharp decline in the quality of service. I loved the shellac manicure I got the first visit. The girl didn't say much, but I don't necessarily mind that. The pedicure was just ok.  My nails look nice and he did a good job. But, the guy who did my pedicure was just rude. There seems to be some dissension with the girl who sits at the front desk and the staff. There is always bickering about people making appointments and staff taking walk-ins without considering their standing appointments. I realize she is trying to manage both the walk-ins and the appointments, but it's uncomfortable when the staff members argue with her in front of customers.  I just don't know if the drive from my house is worth it to return. Ive been here many times before. Very clean, and good technicians. However I am extreamly displeased with this salon and will not pay for their services no longer. My daughter came home on leave from the Navy and got a pedicure. She sat there and listened to the receptionist and a client express their discouragemt of our military and troops.
