New owners stink! I’ve gone to Tony for awhile and had hopes that the new owners would do the same job he always did... I was wrong. She globbed acrylic on my nails and had to use the file underneath because of so much excess. My nails look like bubbles even after I stated they looked thick. None of my nails are the same length or consistency... nor did she even check. They’ve also jacked the prices at least $10 higher than before, and nickel and dime anything they can. I've been going to "Tony" for a year. Up till last December, each rebase was great! Tony did a good job. December, Tony was a little edgy, but didn't think much about it - it was the holidays. Progressing through January, February & March, Tony became very belligerent, getting worse each visit. This I've never understood. I said little & always left a good tip. By March, my last visit, Tony still had a nasty attitude. He was using an electric file to smooth my nails when the "wrap" on this file broke slapping my nail, hard. Tony said nothing. He grabbed a 2nd file/wrap, and the same thing happened - it broke slapping my nail even harder. I spoke up saying, "I don't dare bleed." NOTE: I'm a Cancer patient & the slightest cut always becomes infected. Tony knows I have Cancer. Anyway, Tony immediately chastised me for criticizing his work. To say he was "nasty" is an understatement!!!! He should have said, "Hey, I'm sorry about that. Are you O.K.?" After the 2nd time, he definitely should have apologized. Being "nasty" instead really took me back. Taking advantage down to the last literal crumb of a piece of equipment is going a bit too far, but an apology would have been nice. Never happened. Tony ALSO HAS INSISTED since January to aim my nails in a different direction than straight. Makes them look strange. I asked in March about this & Tony insisted that my fingers are bent; so he turned the nails. NOT SO!!!! I've been to 2 other nail techs & neither one even suggests that my nails need to be turned - they've been done correctly, straight. It's sad b/c Tony is a good tech, but his attitude is completely unreasonable. Customer Service does matter, including with nail techs. Tony just doesn't have that anymore - instead it's like he's angry for even being there. This I don't understand. Bad/nasty attitude plus crooked nails, I've not been back since March & won't go back. I much prefer a "smile" out of someone versus a snarl. Read Less

I live in Johnstown but drive all the way up to foco just to come here. Ask for Tony, Sarah or Rayna (the others are probably great I just don't have experience). Before coming here I hated trying to get my nails done because I couldn't understand the technicians enough to explain what I wanted. But Sarah gets my terrible make-shift nail terms! This was my first time trying out the salon and I came because of all the awesome reviews I had read about. I actually stopped and regoogled the salon to make sure it was the right one because my experience was so terrible. I was supposed to get a mani/pedi but cut it short and stopped with the pedicure. I wish I would not have come here at all. The technician that helped me was nice but as she started working I could see her using the cuticle clippers and just missing my cuticles and frankly kind of just clipping air. I said are you obtaining anything...because it doesn’t feel like it? She said, “oh, sorry! I need to get my prescription on my glasses updated, it’s so hard for me to see.” Then I said well, I have a painful ingrown toenail, can you clip it for me? She dug and dug around, kind of the way I do at home because I don’t know how to clip them, and she seemed the same way. She dug and hurt me for about 10 minutes and I just had to ask her to stop. Then, she filed my bare skin with a file until it was so sensitive, and even today, my toe hurts and feels like it’s on fire and raw. I don’t think she could see very well or she would have known there was no nail to be filed. Aside from it all, she finished my pedicure and it took 1 hour and 10 minutes. Now I have a bad paint job, a painful toe, and still an ingrown toenail. Will not be going back to this salon. Read Less

Tedde is simply the best! After searching for months for a tech to fit my needs, I finally found the one. I've been seeing her for a few months now and have never been happier. I'm extremely particular with my stiletto nails, and she pays very close attention to detail every time. Every two weeks, I look forward to my appointment. I went and I waited an hour for my manicure, no one acknowledged me for that hour, when I was helped they were very aggressive pulling my arms and repositioning my hands, all in all, the nails were done very nicely just not very friendly. I have been coming for about 2 months now. I love the atmosphere in the nail bar. The employees are very friendly and talented. I even find that they have some of the nicest customers! I'm currently drying from my pedicure (gel nails were done first because that tech was available first) and I have to say - this place was awesome! Very contemporary, they play fun club-type music over the speakers with nice bass. The technicians I had were both very efficient - quick and yet very careful and precise. ZERO issues with getting the color on my skin once dry and they barely had to wipe any away during the process. The color selection is pretty good, they have a nice variety. I absolutely love Polished! I've been going here for four years and have never been disappointed. Tony is awesome and it's been great to see the small salon I started going to grow into an thriving business with a great staff that hasn't lost its initial charm and quality that it began with! The gel (shellac) they use doesn't destroy your nails and they make an effort to keep your nails healthy (I really appreciate this). I've always been thrilled with the job done and leave with dazzling nails exactly how I wanted them! The staff is always super friendly, helpful, respectful, fun and doesn't bat an eye at any requests or concerns that you have. If you have the chance to get Tedde, she's awesome. She does a detailed, though job and is down to earth, chill and fun to talk to. By far my favorite thing about this salon is the atmosphere. I looked up nail salons close to me open on Sundays and decided to check Polished Nail Spa out mainly because of proximity and availability. I walked in without an appointment and I waited about 5 minutes for a mani/pedi. I got a gel manicure and regular polish pedicure, and it was very mediocre and extremely overpriced. The heels of my feet are still very scruffy and I came home and had to polish/clip/clean off a lot ofresidual nail polish on the sides of my fingers, toes, and cuticles. For a full mani/pedi, I was not at all impressed with the way the technician cleaned the cuticles on my fingers and toes - I might as well have paid for a simple polish change OR have done them myself. I had such a good experience here! Came in for a manicure and pedicure the day before my wedding with my mom and sister. The shop itself is small which was nice to be able to chat. The ladies who took care of us, took their time and were super nice to everyone who came in. They also have walk ins, but if you call they can more than likely get you in without a problem! Charlie's Nail Bar in Exeter just opened 7 weeks ago. At my sister-in-laws recommendation I tried it yesterday. The facility is really nice, spacious and clean. I got a pedicure by Sarah. She was really very good. The massage was lovely, and she took care when painting my nails including lapping over the tips for a longer lasting finish. I will definitely go back again and again! I really enjoyed my experience here today, it was my first time trying this nail salon and I'm incredibly pleased with the way my claws turned out. To start The environment is mellow and relaxing. The art on the walls is amazing and so unique I love it. I made an appointment with Tony and he was extremely gentle on my nails and very attentive to what I asked for, they came out exactly like I pictured! I went to have my acrylic nails done. I am super picky I like them all to look the same, be not to thick to where they look fake and I like them short but almond and more on the natural side. Tedde rocked it.. She was super sweet and gave of a warm vibe. It almost felt like I was sitting with one of my friends getting my nails done. The salon is spacious and clean. I visited for the first time the beginning of December. Sarah did a super job. I was out of town for a wedding 3 weeks later and, although my nails still looked great, had them redone. The best place around! I get multiple compliments a day on my ombré glittery nails! I can't miss seeing these guys when I'm in town. I have yet to find anywhere else that can do the amazing job that Tony and Edison do. I'll continue to visit Polished as often as I am in Fort Collins. I went to Polished Nail last week and asked what the cost was for a set of Gel Nails. Tony told me and I said ok. He had to take off the old acrylics first. . He is good at what he does and my nails turned out great but than he added an extra 10 dollars for taking off the older acrylics. I work hard for my money and that should of been put in the mix when I asked him how much for gelsI have never been charged for taking off old nails. Read Less
