Worst place for nails that I’ve ever been! Service was not great either. Cost $50 to have a manicure and a just a polish change on my toes. The worst manicure I’ve ever received. Worst nail salon I've ever been to! I've been getting my nails done religiously every 3 weeks for at least 3 years and my nail broke after 3 hours of leaving and to top it off it cost me $70!!! For a full set they didn't look that great they were monochrome and all started chipping immediately then one broke. I called that evening and went back just now to get them fixed they look worse than they did the first time and the woman at the front was completely rude about me being picky, gave me the thing to paint them myself, and then told me to come back again the next day so the guy who originally did them could fix them. DO NOT GO HERE! TERRIBLE!! Terrible experience! Concerning practices!! I left bleeding from my cuticles and two days later with hang nails. Staff are to aggressive. Water & towels are WAY too hot (as was foot bath water); did not listen to nail shape and color requests; over charged; My Nail polish began cracking and chipping on day two; never removed heel wax paper and almost fell when walking from Pedi chair to mani chair. It’s really upsetting I have to write this review but I believe it’s necessary. I’ve been in to Kim’s Nails 3 times now. For my first service and two follow ups, since I was completely happy with my Nails. I’m getting my nails done by a young man whose wife is working right next to him. She’s talking with her client about her attempt at gaining citizenship when all of a sudden I hear her say something about the Mexicans. Apparently her client didn’t hear her comment at first either because she said “what was that”, the girl at first said “never mind”, then immediately said that her process is being slowed down due to “all the Mexicans jumping over the wall”. I’m not looking to cause a political discussion, or debate about race, I just found it extremely uncalled for and offensive having partial Mexican heritage, am married to a Mexican, and my children are mixed as well. I think it’s very unprofessional and really IGNORANT coming from someone who is not a citizen and is obviously not educated enough to know that Asians are now the #1 immigrants in this country. I held my tongue and let it go, I don’t get super offended because it’s just not me, but it did hurt my feelings a little, I’m only human. I so happy I checked this place out! I recently moved here and so far I can tell you two places (in Windsor) that are terrible. My last gel manicure didn’t even last for three days and it started pealing off from the cuticles (B B Nails = horrible). Tricia did my nails and I loved her. She did a great job removing my old gel polish, filing, cutting my cuticles (without cutting me like the last two girls), the polish is on my nails and not on my skin...and what a great hand massage! Kenny is a shellac perfectionist and gave me my first shellac manicure to EVER last a full two weeks. And I think I’ll keep it going a few more days! Usually I choose a $20 express shellac at a different salon, but I stopped by for convenience and it was so worth the money spent here. Highly recommend for shellac. Read Less

I made a somewhat last-minute appointment for a manicure and pedicure before my wedding. Amy was able to fit me in, and I'm so glad! The manicure was flawless (and she kindly didn't mind that I asked to bring my own polish) and the pedicure was so well done and relaxing that I actually gently drifted off in the chair. Apparently a basic pedicure doesn't include callus removal or a foot scrub (that's 10$ more). The water didn't even have soap or any type of soak in it. I got to soak in it for about 3 minutes before my feet were taken out and the tub drained. It was dead quit in there and awkward because one lady would answer the phone on speaker so we all had to listen to her make appointments. Loved it there ! The staff was really nice and they did a great job on both my mom and I nails . The only reason why I didn't give the full 5 stars is because on my nails they left some extremely shorter than the another but overall I loved them . Not going back. Got a shellac mani and paid way too much for it.. It has lasted pretty well for 2 weeks but still very expensive and the girl was on the phone and texting the entire time I was there. What I'm really upset about is my pedi. The lady didn't really shape my nails and two days after I got it the paint chipped a ton! One of my toes the entire coating of nail polish came off... Very satisfied customer! I'm visiting from out of town and had never been here before. I went in to get a full set and also wanted to have my ring fingers decorated in a cute way for Valentine's Day coming up. The staff was very friendly and attentive. After finishing my set, they helped me figure out what design to put on my ring fingers and even looked at several designs on Pinterest with me for inspiration to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I went in last Saturday, I told them that I wanted a basic pedicure and French manicure. I went in an hour or so before they closed, so I felt rushed. They had me pay before I was done, I thought I was paying $38 but when I checked my account I got charged $51dollars. I wouldn't mind the money if my manicure would've lasted longer than 3 days. The day before my 30th birthday I went in for a manicure and eyebrow wax. Karen, assisted me with both. The manicure was okay but the wax went horribly wrong. Ive gotten waxed before and my skin always turns red, whos doesnt, this time though I noticed that it was a little bit redder than usual on my lower lid. I didnt say anything at first because I didnt think anything of it but as the day progressed I noticed the area starting to blister. I ran cold water over the area and put some aloe vera on. I went to my computer and googled 1st degree burns and low and behold there was my answer. The following Tuesday I went back to talk to Karen, I went Monday but she was not working and Kim asked me to come back the next day. Lets just say Ive never been more insulted in my entire life. She tried to say that I cut myself or that I somehow had something to do with the burn. I was outraged! Kim tried to calm me down and in the end I did get my money back but regardless I will never go back to this salon again and I will always be reminded of this experience whenever I looked in the mirror at this horrible scar over my eye! Kim's Nails has been nicely remodelled since the last time I came in. I think the service is good but the light should be brighter. For some reasons I feel like the room is all yellow because of the light and that makes me sleepy. I like it when a place that provides service which involves cutting into the skin, cuticles, etc., should provide adequate lighting. Read Less
