I can’t say enough good things about Buff and file. They have always greeted me promptly, helped me pick out a color and have given me some of the best manicures and pedicures! Amanda has been styling my nails the last year and I have never been unhappy! She does an amazing job and is very thorough with her work. This past Wednesday was a snow day and Alex made a point to call me and just check in since me, my mom and bridesmaids were coming in for my wedding. The atmosphere was not friendly. I got french tip acrylic nails and she made them to long and uneven would not recommend. I walked in with no appointment and they told me that they couldn’t fit me in till later so I had to make an appointment when they say walk ins welcome. I wasted my money. 65 for a simple pedicure and fancy manicure. She did nothing to help my cuticles, she didn’t massage my hands or moisturize them. I had a favorite place for acrylic nails with gel along with gel on my toe nails, back in southern California.  I live in Loveland now and tried one nail place here that I didn't want to go back to.  (That owner had me soaking my fingertips in solvent or whatever she  used to get my acrylics off before doing dipping.  My finger tips ended up painfully dry with cracks)  Yelp reviews made Foco sound like my best option.  I called today, on Monday 1-8-2018, and got appointments for this afternoon.  Cathy took her time to make my acrylic fills just right before she very carefully applied layers of gel.  I was amazed at how careful  she was and how she took her time to do an excellent job.  I've never experienced that kind of service before.  She did a perfect job.  She listened to me and made my finger nails exactly how I wanted them; short and oval.  Flawless!Sreyneth, Cathy's daughter in law, did my toe nails, then.  She was just like Cathy, taking her time to do an excellent job.  She had to remove the gel first before redoing it with the same color Cathy used.  Once again, I'm extremely happy with the results.  I did pay more than I  used to in Foothill Ranch, California but it is so worth it.  Instead of being in and out for both in about 1 hour and 30 minutes, it was more like 2 hours and 20 minutes.  I believe the pedicure with gel was $45 and the gel/acrylic manicure was $40.  It was worth every penny!  I'm so glad to have new ladies I can rely on for a great experience. I never really get my nails done so when I first came to this place I was nervous about getting the wrong type of nails. I had an idea of what I wanted but I didn't know what it was called when I looked at the menu. I got a full set of acrylic nails btw. The crew was very welcoming, customer oriented and informing when they were describing the different types of nails and pricing to me. The last time I went I felt a little rushed, but the service was still great and my nails looked just like the picture I showed them. This place is about 25 minutes drive from where I live but I thought it would be worth it because of all the positive reviews. I went in to get acrylics done. The technician doing my nails kept stopping to argue with her coworker about booking her appointments wrong. At one point she kept doing my nails but had her head turned to her coworker and made my cuticle bleed. Full sets are already  long appointments so it was aggravating to have to sit through 20+ minutes of the technician trying to sort out her work schedule in the middle of my manicure. Foco nails is awesome. I usually get shellac nails, but had been having issues with my nails being weak and breaking due to unrelated issues so they recommended I try the powder dipped nails. Let me say I'm sold now! The powder dip stays on close to 3 weeks with zero chipping. I only need to go in due to regrowth. My nails are longer and stronger than they've ever been.  The only man I've seen working in there (can't remember his name) always does my nails and takes his time and does an excellent job!! Went to Foco this weekend, and while the people working there were nice and personable, their salon was overpriced and their work was subpar. My gel manicure began peeling after 3 days, which shouldn't happen at all with gel. Overall they need some work. I expect more from a salon that charges so much. Read Less

I went yesterday with my sister and the girl I got wasn't very friendly. Not approachable. I clearly explained that I wanted acrylics with gel and they said it would be easy.. I tried to confirm it with my girl and she said "Oh we don't do that here. We just paint." I was told this after the whole process started. So she kept filing and doing whatever to my nails. Never asked if I wanted something else and wasn't friendly enough for me to feel comfortable speaking up. She actually barely spoke to me the entire time. Buff and File in itself was not quite up to par. Reception was not very friendly and kind of made us feel uncomfortable and awkward as we waited for our technicians. Brianna is the freaking best! She totally delivered on what I asked for! Best mani/pedi I've ever gotten and she is the sweetest and funniest girl and made me feel so comfortable. My sister saw another tech who was less than impressive. After stating she couldn't do what my sister wanted she just kind of continued to paint her nails anyway and made my sister feel uncomfortable speaking up. The rest of her mani was silent. Just moved to Fort Collins from South Florida and used Yelp to find a new nail salon. I like one person to do my mani, pedi and waxing, so I sent an email via Yelp and received a lovely reply from Kath almost immediately.Went yesterday in awful shape as I hadn't been to a salon in 6 weeks! Every fingernail broken from unpacking boxes, and one broken toe....Kath did an amazing job, and Jasmine assisted with my mani as I changed to a more wonderful pedi. Worst pedicure and manicure I ever had, but thinking you get what you pay for at this establishment. I went for express manicure because I had limited time and don't like my legs rubbed and the signature manicure was rushed, no cuticle trimming and the fast drying polish took long time for me to get off myself with several soakings of acetone. Needless to say, I thought I was treating myself to time to prepare for next day wedding and had to come home , remove it all and redo it myself. My gel manicures last forever... seriously, I had one manicure that other than being grown out was still perfect after FOUR weeks! The girls are all super sweet and fun to talk to! What a wonderful experience. I was looking to pamper myself after a long week but not break the bank. I called on a Saturday morning and they could fit me in at noon. I was seen as soon as I got there and was asked if I wanted water. I told them what services I wanted (the deluxe pedicure and regular manicure) and my nail technician did exactly that. I wasn't pressured to add on any services or upgrade (i haaaaaaate when salon staff does that.. I always feel bad for saying no). My technician did both services which was wonderful! She was so helpful and polite. She even tied my sandals for me because my nails were wet! That's service! Another thing that I really liked about this salon is that they do not overbook. Yes, walk ins are welcome, but appointments come first. I can't tell you how many salons I have been to where they try to squeeze in more clients than they can. Foco Nails knew how many appointments that they had and kindly asked some of the walk ins to make an appointment or come back later in the day. I think that this is an excellent practice! Everyone was very nice but I don't think well be returning. I just got a regular French manicure. None of my lines are even, the white tip is pink due to the other polish they put on. The white doesn't go all the way to the corners. I felt like I was the first person this lady ever did a French manicure on. I am relatively new to Fort Collins, and apprehensive about which nail salon to choose. A coworker suggested Foco nails after having bad experiences at other nail salons here. Her nails are always great, so I totally trust her judgment. I made an appointment with Kathy, and she was amazing! I got gel (shellac) nails for my upcoming trip. Kathy was so friendly and nice, didn't push me to get any add-ons, and did a great job shaping my nails- they were in bad shape! I had such bad cuticles and hangnails and my nails were different lengths... it was embarrassing. It had probably been almost a year since my last professional manicure, but now I will continue to go back to Kathy! They are flawless. Great experience. Not a bad price- $30. This place was great!!. I love the shape and color of my nails. Jasmine was pleasure to talk to while getting my nails done. She asked me what shape I wanted and was sure to check I was happy with the progress. I wasn't sure about the color and she said we could try the different colors I was trying to decide on to be sure I would like the color. I had my 4 year old son with me and they made me feel at ease to have him sit with me. I ended up also getting my eyebrows done and Jasmine was super helpful to keep an eye on my little one. Brought my daughter in for her birthday for manicures and pedicures and we had such a great time! I got a full set of acrylics and she got the Princess manicure with gel polish and we both got the basic pedicure. The price for all of it was very reasonable, and I will definitely be coming back! It's really hard to find good nail salons that are sanitary and where the techs are kind and actually have a conversation with you. I was in town visiting and needed an emergency manicure after my current polished chipped badly. They were able to fit me in right away, and they did a shellac with nail art. The salon is very clean, and the staff was incredibly nice. The gentleman doing my nail art ditch struggle with one style, but he immediately asked his colleague to help. She was able to free him the design no problem, and I loved the outcome. I walked out of there feeling ripped off and upset because it took her two hours to get this done! After 9 months of searching Fort Collins for a great nail salon and nail tech, FOCO Nails ranks the best!! After closing my business in Cherry Creek and being spoiled with an amazing nail tech there, I was pretty frustrated that most nail salons here in FTC provide  such sub standard nail care. I found a few nail salons that gave decent pedicures and even tried the "powder" technique for my natural nails, which both my daughters love. I couldn't get on board with that though I tried. My nails always looked thick and soaking that powder off was intensely long. FOCO Nail Salon is exactly what I was looking for. It's clean, modern and best of all, it's got talented techs. Jasmine is my favorite gal and I can't say enough wonderful things about this sweet young lady. Her mother is the owner and equally as sweet as I'm sure talented. They are always accommodating to my schedule and their prices are far too reasonable for their work. They are open Tuesday through Sunday's, finally taking a day off to close Monday's. As hard as they work, they deserve it and perhaps another day off too in my opinion!!! If your picky about your nail care - as I am- I'm confident you will be very happy you gave this great nail salon a try. After doing some research on Yelp, I decided to give this place a try since they had great reviews. I went in for a mani/pedi. I've never had a pedicure before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Everything  was going well until the guy was way too rough and tore some skin off one of my toes. Not once did he acknowledge what he did, and didn't even apologize. Instead he put some stuff on the cut that stung like hell and went about his business. I'll definitely never go there for a pedicure again.  My only complaint about the manicure is that he didn't paint all the way to the nail bed, and the polish chipped the very next day. When I called to see if they would fix it the woman that answered said I'd have to come in within the hour. Visiting Fort Collins and needed a pedicure.  Found Navi's Nails and decided to try a walk in.  9:45am on a Saturday and I had no trouble!  I was seated and soaking my feet within seconds of picking my nail color.I had already decided that I wanted to do one of the upgraded pedicures because my feet were so sore from a ton of walking.  I was handed a pedicure menu and was delighted to see a number of aromatherapy options!!  I ended up going with the "Pearl" option ($40) and was very happy with the scent.  It was floral without being heavy.The best part of the aromatherapy upgrade is that there are so many steps (softening lotions, soap, scrubs, massage lotion, oil) that you end up getting wonderful massages at each step.  The gentleman that did mine was AMAZING!  Wish I had thought to get his name so that I could compliment him by name....he was awesome!  He did pressure point massage on my feet that had me almost falling asleep.  I HIGHLY recommend this place!!  I'll be back in FCO to visit my baby boy at CSU, so I'll definitely be back every time I'm in town.
