Ehhhrrrmaahhggeeerdd. This place is freaking adorable. You can tell this is owned by a woman,with good taste. The place is beautifully decorated with cozy chairs, plants, mirrors and pretty calming colors. My experience here was lovely. Not only is this salon better for YOU and the environment, they just do a good job. I was offered a beverage upon arrival, was sat in a cute chair with mags and told to relax. I got a pedicure, shellac removal and a manicure for 59$. Not bad. All the products are like, vegan and cruelty free with less chemicals and harmful carcinogens. The technicians are all young and sweet and speak great english. I'd recommend coming here if you are looking for a really sweet and cozy experience and are passionate about healthier options for you and the environment. Plus, they have DOGS. They're so cute! This salon is fantastic! My friends and I have been coming here regularly for the last couple of years. I get Shellac manicures and Vinylux pedicures regularly and I am never disappointed. Eudy is a fantastic owner and always keeps the latest polish colors on hand. They are eco-friendly and extremely clean. Having been a manicurist in the past, this is extremely important to me! Got a gel mani/pedi here about two weeks ago. The quality of the services was quite good, but the attitude of the woman doing them, I think her name was Desi, was extremely poor the entire time I was there. While she was doing my fingernails, I asked her to make sure they were all even (because at that point they were obviously not) and she immediately snapped that she wasn't finished. Fine, maybe I should have waited to bring it up, but her attitude was extremely unnecessary. Getting a manicure and pedicure isn't cheap, and treating customers like that for asking questions isn't appropriate. Any time Desi spoke to me, she had a poor attitude, like I was an inconvenience. I never got an opportunity to soak my hands before the manicure, and she didn't apply any lotion or oil to my hands after the manicure. When I got the pedicure, a big storage tub full of sudsy water was brought out and that is where I had to put my feet. I did not like this at all, so be aware if you're expecting a pedicure chair and a more 'spa-like' experience.I did appreciate the second glass of wine Desi got me, given that they are complimentary and she didn't have to do that. Overall, Desi did good mani/pedi that lasted about 9 days (this is good for me, as my nails grow extremely quickly), but her sour attitude and air that I was an inconvenience have put me off this salon. I'm not going to pay more than $100 for a gel mani/pedi at a place where the employees snap at and speak down to customers. The other ladies working that day didn't exhibit the same kind of sour attitude, so maybe Desi was having a bad day. I'll leave that up to other yelpers to find out. I only gave two stars because of the cleanliness and the two non toxin nail polish options. I may be tainted by NYC mani/pedis, so take this review from that perspective. I walked on to an atmosphere that was unfriendly. True they may have been tired from the morning rush, but if I’m going to pay top dollar then I want to be greeted with a smile and treated like a princess. I made an appointment on line and had to ask if they received my appointment instead of being asked if I was a new customer, had an appointment, etc. I then had to ask if they were running late, which they were. Okay, only by 10 minutes but then that ate into my scheduled timeframe that I was paid for. I was not greeted kindly by Desi, and throughout the entire appointment she was rough, not very nice and honestly acted like she had an attitude. She barely said a word to me and I was the customer that paid $72. I got the Zen pedi and regular mani. The water for pedi is carried out in a tub of water, no jets. I’ve had this before so that wasn’t the issue. It was Desi slamming the tub around and as if she was in a bad mood. Admitting being moody in a later conversation she had later during my appointment with a co-worker. I would like to say I’d try this place again, but I probalby would not as I do not enjoy spending that kind of money and being treated rudely or rough. If you are into rough and don’t mind what I wrote, the. By all means this is the place for you. From my experience this would be a $35 NYC mani/pedi combo that you can get anywhere in the City. This was definitely one of the most negative experiences I ever had at a nail salon and I will never got back. I didn't want to judge a book by its cover so I gave it a chance and hoped the positive yelp reviews would lead me to a long term nail salon. Unfortunately the issues were as follows: poorly kept salon, a rude and snappy manicurist (you're doing this wrong; you messed me up; ugh now I have to fix it) and botched up cuticles and nail folds. I didn't want to be a baby but the entire experience was lack luster and quite painful. I've been getting my nails done ever since I was a teenager and only have experienced this once at a cheap lower end salon. This place felt like that for me unfortunately. Read Less

Loved the location and cute interior and the sweet pups! This was my first time visiting this salon and I went in for a gel manicure. The site stated that the manicure included a complimentary drink, so I figured I'd have a mimosa during the hour spent there. Unfortunately, when I requested that, I found they only had wine available. For some reason, I thought sparkling wine was possibly included, but no such luck. The blame for this partially falls on me, but kind of irritating when the drink is included in the cost and you don't end up getting one. I loved the hand massage after the manicure and enjoyed the manicurist, but my nails were chipping within a few days. I get gel manicures so I don't have to worry about the polish budging, but it's been less than a week and over half of my nails are chipped, scratched, peeling, etc. For a nearly $40 manicure, that is NOT ok. I wanted to make this my new nail place, but will have to continue the search! Read Less

What a cute place to have your nails done!Unfortunately the polish bubbled on one nail so I had them fix them right away. But then once they fullly dried the polish on all my other nails bubbles too. My sisters polish bubbled too. Also, I didnt feel like the hand massage was as good as the one my sister got. I said 'oo that feels good!" and she immediately stopped and moved on to a different part of my arm.However the place was super cute and so were the dogs. I really wanted to like this place, the reviews were great and the prices ok. But I just never felt comfortable here. It was a busy day and everyone seemed to be chatty with heir clients and it seemed like a bunch of regulars. Being new, I got a technician who was nice and efficient but couldn't really speak to me, English was her second language so we sat their awkwardly trying to make small talk and then mostly sat in silence. I so wished I had one of the other ladies as I usually like to talk during nail treatments. I do like that hey use eco friendly products but again I was disappointed in the quality. I ordered the vinalux which is guaranteed to stay in a week, but mine already started chipping 2 days later and by day 4, half my nails were chipped. The extra money was not worth it for me. I've come here a handful of times for manicures and pedicures, since it's a very convenient location for me, but usually have sub par experience. I just went to get a birthday mani/pedi (no birthday discounts). They didn't (and never) paint the end (or "cap") of the nail. They slapped the paint on super fast and they didn't look to see that my color clearly needed a third coat, and cuticles were left uneven. After being rushed through here a few times in the past, I think I'll look for a new place. Read Less

This is the only place I go for pedicures. I started going when I was pregnant because they use non-toxic nail polish, and I've been going back since. I have to be honest, it's not the cheapest place you'll find, but it's worth the extra money. The interior design is awesome, it doesn't smell like chemicals like the cheap places, and the quality of work is excellent. You can tell that the money you're paying goes to make a nice environment. All the staff is super friendly, and they've always been nice to me. Normally I can't stand it when people try to chat with me when I'm getting some kind of service done (because I'm an introvert and, well, a misanthrope), but it's pretty effortless here. Read Less

I live in the neighborhood and walked by to see if they had availability for a pedicure.   The person turned me away saying they were closing in 5 minutes.   We went next door for a beer and an hour later, the salon was still open.   I've had a manicure here once before and it was just ok.  For being a small business, they should want more new customers and make them feel welcome.  I read other reviews and can confirm it.   It is a disappointment. I went in because I thought I had finally found a salon I would enjoy for the ages, however, when they asked what service I would like done and I told them I would just like to have gel put back on my nails without a manicure, they turned me away and would not do my nails because they only do gel with a manicure (I'm an every-other-appointment manicure girl, mainly because I care for my nails at home nightly and I was in a time-crunch). A little disappointed in my past two experiences here. The past two technicians I have had acted like they didn't want to be there, too tired and don't want to be doing their job. At my second to last appointment, the technician was sick and coughing all over the place. She was also a bit rude, rough on my hands and feet, and kept rudely telling me to relax. I have gone to Basecoat nail salon since that appointment, and the lady who usually does my nails there has had no problem with me "relaxing". I decided to book with the owner this time around. She was late to my appointment. I didn't get a hello or an apology from her. I am usually offered something to drink when I come in. I wasn't this time. But others were. My pedicure water was also a bit colder than usual. She seemed to have warmed up a bit later into my appointment when she moved to my manicure. I echo what others have said about them playing favorites. A regular came in after me, got seated for her pedicure ahead of me and was out before me. The appointment after me was late as a result of her being late to mine, so she greeted her in the middle of my appointment and got her stuff ready. I don't think that is OK at all-- especially since I wasn't offered the same courtesy of being greeted by the technician I booked my appointment with. I thought that's why they had the booking system: You can book who you want to do your nails for your whole appointment. While she was helping her, another technician came over to put the nail glue on my nail that was broken. The nail glue isn't that great, and after a day of my manicure, it looks goopy and messy under the polish. As much money as they charge, I would expect better service and a better finished, more professional look on my polish. I did get the Vinylux, the more expensive polish, so I would think it would look good. Because of the mediocre service from my past two appointments, I won't be going back.Update: It has been two days since my Vinyl manicure, and the paint is already chipping. not satisfied with paying more for a product that is supposed to last longer than regular polish. My mom and I had double mani/pedi appointments last weekend and were so pleasantly surprised by this lovely shop near my house. The staff are fabulous, the "mascot" Emma is adorable, and the service was wonderful. I don't know how I missed this awesome gem so near to me. I love that the polishes are vegan and the services are all natural. I'm still rocking the Vinylux manicure and have gotten wonderful compliments all week. I recently moved back to Denver and was not interested in driving 9 miles to my old nail salon so I went to yelp to find something in my new hood. I made an appointment online which is a plus in my book. I HATE having to call and see if they have appointment times. The whole process was very simple.The salon is a cute area off Sheridan Blvd in Edgewater. Parking was easy to find and the salon is super cute! I had a Vinlylux manicure and LOVED it. Udi (I don't know if I spelled her name right) did a fantastic job on my destroyed cuticles (I had just moved.. my nails were TERRIBLE). She was also very pleasant to talk to (which is a huge fear of mine going to a new nail place... sometimes it's just awkward).Almost a week later my nails and cuticles look GREAT.I can't wait to return! Cute nail salon in Edgewater. I've come in here a few times. The service has always been good and I really like that they carry "eco friendly" nail polishes that are free of things like formaldehyde. It never has the smell of chemicals like most nail salons tend to. They are always running monthly promotions and also offer discounts if you walk or carpool, which is pretty cool. I've gotten two types of manicures here- their standard one, and one with the "Vinylux" polish. Vinylux is basically supposed to be a step above regular polish and a step below gel. It's $7 more than their regular manicure but is supposed to last longer than polish, dry faster than gel (no UV/LED), and doesn't require a base coat. Which sounds like a great idea, but I would either save yourself $7 and stick with the regular polish or spend the extra money for a gel manicure that will last. Personally, I didn't feel it was worth the upcharge, BUT that's because their basic nail polish is already high quality... My $18 manicure lasted the same amount of time without chipping as the $25 one did. $3 off any service if you check in on Yelp, so go see for yourself! Read Less

I am on a temporary assignment for work in the area and I yelped to find a nail place to get a mani.  I saw that UberChic had an online scheduling system and was really close by, so I was sold!  It is really nice because you can look at any given day and see the open appointment and schedule right there. No remembering to call and all the info you need is right on the website (including descriptions of services and prices).I have been here twice, once for a shellac mani and once for a deluxe pedi.  I have thoroughly enjoyed both of my visits and loved the look of my nails both times.  They have a very clean modern design and their pedicure chairs are nice comfy arm chairs. It is a very light and bright space. There isn't a ton of parking in this area, but it also isn't really busy so I just parked on the street both times with no problem. I have really enjoyed going here and am sure I will be back soon. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! Read Less
