I had such an amazing experience!  Finding parking is hard enough downtown and Henry's has a parking lot.   From the moment you walk in the environment is very inviting.  You are offered water or a glass of wine while you wait for your appointment. I love my stylist-Adrianne! Not only does she color and cut my hair but she also does my hair extensions! The hair is so pretty and such high quality and the process is so great for my hair! People are always shocked when I tell them I have hair extensions and when I show them they can't believe how great they look. She has her own technique and uses her own hair- she KNOWS her stuff. This place renewed my faith in commercial haircuts. My grand parents ran a beauty shop in my small home town for 25+ years. ABOUT to get Married and need a hairstylist to do your hair? DON'T GO HERE!! I probably would not go here ever again!!. I was in the salon for a bride Hair trial. I sent him pictures of the style I want which is just to leave it down with curls and a tease. Keep in mind I sent him pictures before we booked the appt and he says yes. The appt took maybe 30 minutes, top! After the appt I was very unhappy. It was no way the style I wanted. Instead of leaving it down with teasing, he put lots of clips in it to make it look like a half-do(which I told him I don't want it). As soon as I drove off, I went ahead and took everything down and cried while driving home. This is my wedding, and I was not happy at all.I ask if we can do a "do-over" and told him I was very unhappy, he says we can do it again but it'll be an extra $35. As a person, who works in the customer service business, this shocked me after I paid him the whole trial + day of wedding as well as gave him a 20% tip on the whole service. $150 + $30 tip=$180I ask for my day-of wedding money back including the other 20% of of the service I won't be receiving. It took almost 3 weeks to get my money of the service I did not receive back. I wish I would've gotten everything back, because it was shit! (Excuse my language)All in all, DO NOT go to this salon or hair stylist, Rafael Castillo. You will feel robbed. There goes $90 down the drain for having someone do your hair that you literally took down after wearing for less than 5 minutes. I would make sure none of my clients go to here as well. Read Less

Overall i was dissapointed with my experience here. My stylist was well aware that i was growing out my hair and it was finally getting to the length that i wanted it. Unfortunetly, my hair got butchered that day. It was incredibly choppy and uneven. I had to go to another salon to have it fixed, in which i had atleast 3 more inches taken off to make it look decent. I am bitter that it took me well over a year to grow my hair long, and now it will take atleast a year to grow it back out again. As any girl can attest to, if your hair doesnt look good, its hard to feel confident. As if the haircut wasnt bad enough...I clearly stated that i wanted my color to be lighter. Once again, my stylist did not listen and my color looked pretty much exactly the same as when i came in. How frusturating is that? When your paying good money for a hair service, i dont think its too much to ask to be listened to and get the results you want. Its unfortunate for this stylist because i could have been a great client, but i have since taken my business elsewhere. I would also like to mention that the receptionist that I encountered had a major attitude. There's nothing that grates on me more than people who work in the customer service industry, yet have no idea how to be nice. I worked in a salon/spa as a receptionist in the past, so i know first hand how a good receptionist should act. Your job is to be courteous and friendly, not to pretend your way better than you really are! However, i will say that the salon has a good atmosphere overall. I also like their location in the uptown neighborhood. Its too bad that i had a bad experience because i would have liked to make this my ""go-to"" salon. I have gone to many salons around town and when my friend suggested me trying Anthony I did. That was 4 years ago and I haven't looked back. Anthony is not only an amazing stylist but also makes you feel truly beautiful and welcome. He makes you laugh and super comfortable in his chair. My mom goes to him as well and won't go to anyone else! I have had so many horrible hair cuts because many stylists don't know how to cut curly hair; I have never had anything but beautiful cuts that have fit my needs and personality. I've been having Andee cut my hair for almost 7 years now, I've followed her from two previous salons and won't let anyone else touch my hair. She is amazing! She gets the cut perfect every time and when I walk out of there I feel like a million bucks because she's made my hair look so good. She is a wonderful stylist, she always makes sure to sit me down first and make sure that she understands what I'm wanting to do with my hair (though it's been the same style for a while, she makes it look fresh each time). Once we've reviewed what I want to do with my hair she washes my hair & gives me the best scalp massage, I almost fall asleep when she does it, so relaxing. Once we get down to the haircut, she's a pure professional, scissors and comb, she makes my unruly wavy hair lay flat and does the layering perfectly so that my a-line bob comes out smooth and beautiful. She does amazing color as well, and has very reasonable prices for her services. I have been following Gail since I met her in August 2005. She does the best natural nails that I have ever come across. Her manicures stick for at least 8 days. In addition, Paul has an awesome personality & I always look forward to our visits. I was not happy with my cut but the color was done well. He barely apologized for making me wait. I told him that I didn't have enough time for both the cut and color. I went to Stacey Haptonstahl for a haircut, she did a pretty good job. I then scheduled an appt to have her do my wedding hair and my bridesmaid hair. I called today to schedule a trim with her and they told me she has left the salon. The receptionist said it was Stacey's responsibility to call me herself, not the receptionists job.
