I avoid getting my haircut so much because going to a salon gives me a lot of anxiety and I just can't wait for the whole thing to be over most of the time. I REALLY needed a haircut though, because my hair was so damaged from the chlorine in the pool where I swim. Luckily I bought a Groupon and tried Flaunt for the first time! I saw Michael Webb who did a great job on my hair. I came in with my own ideas and pictures and he suggested something a little different and found some pics so I could see what it would look like. I decided to trust him and go for it. It came out really well and I am happy with my new 'do. Michael gave me a scalp massages before he cut my hair. It was AMAZING. Got a spray tan here and the experience was truly lovely! The technician, if you will, made me feel comfortable in the space and gave me a color that was appropriate ( I am very pale). She was chatty and let me dress to my comfort as well as being really intentional and mindful about her technique while tanning me. Lots of people commented on my glow and I felt that the product itself was good without tons of that spray tan smell.The price was affordable and while the tanning space itself wasnt very fancy/well kept, it was overall a good experience and I will be sure to go back when and if I need a tan. My visit here two weeks ago still has me raving to all of my friends.  I am not lying when I say that I always get compliments on my hair cuts, so allow me to give credit where it is due. The atmosphere here is pretty killer.  It's mod vintage, great staff, everyone is friendly, and you'll feel at ease.  I've been to salons with the snob-jobbery vibe.  This is SO not that.  If you want to walk out feeling like a full- fledged rock star, I encourage you to visit Brandon at Flaunt Salon.  I've been following him in Denver now for three years and I have yet to leave feeling like I did not get what I wanted.  He asks you a whole bunch of questions before the cut, many of which you haven't even thought about until you are in his chair.  He specializes (and to my knowledge is the only person in Denver) in French Haircutting.  I knew nothing about it until I went to two other stylists and did not feel like I had a haircut that flattered my face shape.  As Brandon explained to me French Haircutting is a technique that incorporates face shape, body size and head shape to create a personalized hairstyle. A French Haircut starts from top to bottom to create the most flattering framing of the face. Flaunt Salon saved my hair! I nearly ruined it with a home lightening kit- it turned out yellow-white and fried. Jen (the owner) understood my concerns and was so helpful getting me in quickly. Really love going to Jenn to get my spray tans. She is amazing! I'd give her 5 stars! But the other day I decided to get my nails done as well and it was the worst shellac manicure I've ever had. It was my 4th time since September - my 3rd time back was to fix a color mishap (that turned red) and unevenness from my 2nd appointment that was only one week prior.During my 4th appointment over one week ago, I was really excited to have Michael add in some blonde balayage before I went on vacation. He suggested darkening my roots to a very dark brown (I am naturally a light to medium mousey brown) in order to add more blonde balayage and also blend in with my already platinum blonde ends. I asked to go a few shades lighter than he suggested (thank god). I also asked to please not add any red tones. Almost 3 hours later my roots were incredibly dark, my forehead and ears were stained with dark dye, and my hair was blotchy with harsh lines and red tones. I pointed this out to Michael but he said it was supposed to look that way and would change depending on how I styled it. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to get out of the salon and just said OK and paid.After looking at it more closely at home, I noticed how blotchy, unblended and red/brassy it was. It looked like harsh copper tiger stripes that started in the most random places. (Please note, balayage is supposed to be a soft painting technique that gives less noticeable regrowth lines to create a natural look.) My hair was completely blotched and looked nothing like a blonde balayage.It is heartbreaking and disappointing to pay $100+ for hair that turns out embarrassing and further damages your hair. Again, I was leaving for vacation a few days later so you can imagine the panic I was in. I immediately called around to well-recommended salons in the Denver area and decided to not have Michael or anyone at Flaunt Salon correct my hair color. I got a gel mani and regular pedi here for the first time last week. The mani/pedi area was in a dark basement that was under construction, and they did not even have a standard mani/pedi chair with a foot bath and massage chair features. There were no magazines and the nail polish colors were limited. The pedicure consisted of a large mixing bowl of hot water with pebbles in it and a light sloughing, but when I left my feet were in the same condition as when I arrived. For $60.00 I expect a lot more they should invest in a chair, a variety of polish colors, proper lighting and at least a few magazines. Sorry flaunt but you are not ready to provide manicures and pedicures! The staff was nice but I won't go back as I could do a home manicure pedicure for about $5.00 in way more comfort. Read Less

I stumbled upon this little jem of a salon on my way home today. Thier a-frame sign and fun music wafting from the outdoor speakers made me stop in. I got my eye brows waxed by the fabulous Kat! I was greeted by all of the staff, even those in the middle of doing hair. Quite the welcome! Cat took me downstairs to thier Beautiful waxing room. She was an expert with brows. It didn't hurt at all and you get a brow message at the end with Tea tree oil and lavender! My brows which usually are super red after waxing are not at all! Wow. So impressed. Becca is awesome!  It's taken many visits to many salons for me to find a good stylist that I really like, and I've found my place at Flaunt.  The first time I went to Flaunt, Becca was able to fix a bad cut that I had been trying to grow out for what seems like forever, and her eye for color is amazing.  I haven't been consistently happy with my hair as I am now in quite a while!  I have very fine blonde hair, which can be tricky to cut and color properly without making it appear thin.  She totally gets it, and has done a great job.The salon itself it super cute.  And it doesn't hurt that they have a glass of wine or a mimosa available as well :)  Plus, the pricing is very reasonable for cut and color.Don't be scared about the meter parking.  Even though we all know Denver street parking is the worst, I haven't had any trouble finding a spot right out front on Larimer. I work a few blocks away and needed a really quick eyebrow fix, and was hoping to squeeze it in during a half hour break. I knew this was overly optimistic as it would take me 5-10 to walk there and back, especially when I walked in and saw the beautiful room the waxing happens in. Kat (I think that was her name, I feel terrible for not remembering, she was amazing!) was sympathetic to my quick wax needs and promised she would speed the process along, but not to the detriment of my brows. She was right! I got back to work in time and my eyebrows looked amazing. It was also a much less painful process than I was used to, and the room was so relaxing it was a perfect little break from work. Plus, she threw some concealer underneath so they weren't obnoxiously red for my coworkers to gawk at. Loved it, will definitely be back! When I moved to Denver several years ago, I was fortunate enough to receive a recommendation from a friend to see Andrew Armand.  Andrew did my hair for a few years at Salon Armand.  Unfortunately, we lost contact for a while.  I reconnected with him again recently, and have been getting compliments from friends that my hair looks the best it has ever looked.  Andrew has a real eye for color selection and for styling that stands out.  It is also a plus for me that Flaunt Salon offers full services, including waxing and teeth whitening.  I'm going to be checking out his wife, Jen, for her teeth whitening treatment before I compete in the NPC Colorado State in July.  Other than the exceptional results that I receive at Flaunt, what stands out for me is the energy and enthusiasm that you palpably feel when you walk in the door.  This is my groovy, eclectic, and stylish home away from home. I love Flaunt Salon. I have a beast on my head that is thick and curly. I have never found a stylist who is able to get it under control. When I get my hair done I have to wear a hat or go  home to redo the style. Then I went to Ashley at Flaunt Salon. She is a miracle worker. From the shampoo (something you to experience to understand) to the knowledge of how to do my hair. I left the salon without a hat and dark sunglasses and was EVEN able to go to lunch. I started going to Flaunt because I followed my stylist Michael when his previous salon closed down.  Flaunt is a very cute salon with just enough personality and edge but not intimidating.  I always receive an appointment reminder call and Michael always run on time.  And I'm always offered a beverage when I arrive.Michael is the only stylist I've found to tame my thick, wavy hair that I prefer to wear shoulder length.  He even managed to help me cut it almost chin length when I wanted to donate it to Locks for Love, and I didn't look like a mushroom head!  I stumbled upon him in a random salon over 5 years ago and have not seen anyone else since.  I simply don't trust anyone else at this point.  He is an easy going guy, easy to talk to and overall I enjoy my visits with him.  I don't do color, and I've never tried any of their other salon services, but I love me some Michael and the salon is lovely.  Parking is on the street and I've never had trouble finding a meter. Amanda has been cutting and coloring my hair for 2 or 3 years now, and she is awesome. Always sweet, always friendly, and always has good ideas. I've been going to Andrew Armand at Flaunt since Nam moved out of state a few years ago. After having some bad experiences in my younger years, I have become very selective about who I allow to touch my hair, but he came so highly recommended that I had to give him a shot. I must say that he is AMAZING. I'm not good about coming up with my own ideas about styles, color, etc. Fortunately, Andrew took the time to feel out my personality and lifestyle and always makes sure that the styles he gives me matches them. I constantly get compliments on my hair and I love the personalized colors he mixes just for me. There has not been a single time in the last two years that I haven't walked out completely in love with my look, whether my hair was short or long. From personal observation, I can tell you that all of the stylists are good and I recommend Flaunt to all of my friends. Oh and Jenn Armand gives the best airbrush tans in town! (Gotta love a family owned business.) I am not sure what product she uses, but it smells sooooo much better than other products I have tried.
