Worst experience ever. I used to like this place a lot but after yesterday I will not be returning. I came in yesterday for Acrylic removal along with a manicure. I even called to schedule an appointment so it’s not like they weren’t aware of me coming in. I got there and at first everything was okay until the lady attempted to remove my Rhinestones. She got frustrated and began using a tool, my nails were flying everywhere and she laughed. I understand that removing acrylic is a pain, but the way she went about it made me very angry. She soaked them off.. i personally thought they would do the old fashioned use another nail to get it off technique but I was wrong. She got frustrated because it wasn’t coming off fast enough (soaking takes forever) so she stuck my hands in and out of acetone for atleast 30 mins. She kept drilling but the acrylic still wasn’t coming off. My hands were freezing, cold, irritated etc. Then she goes to start talking about my nails and how they weren’t coming off to her coworkers because she was annoyed. One of them came up to me and randomly started rubbing my nails and told her how to bs her way through finishing my nails. As you can see in the picture my nails and lumpy because she didn’t take all the acrylic off. The paint job and quality of the nail polish was HORRIBLE. She left me at the dryer and never checked back to see if my nails were dry. All she was concerned about was getting me out the way so she could service others that were paying for a higher service. ( my total was 27.95 for removal and soak off) I DID NOT TIP ! And I don’t feel as if I should.. ladies go elsewhere.. maybe it was just the lady who did my nails idk but the whole situation was uncomfortable and I look like a two year old did my nails until I go get them done again. Friendly staff, but be careful about making it very clear what kind of pedicure you want, because they have a tendency to upsell you, and suddenly you're paying for twice as much as you intended to. Instruments are peel packed, but it's apparent to me (I work in an operating room) that they don't actually autoclave them. Denver Location-I’ve honestly never had such a stupid nail experience. Which made me sad because this place has good reviews online and I took a chance! I asked for a full set, they guy did the shaping and nail part perfect, but when it came time to do the paint, he did not put on enough coats of paint making my nails looks amateur and not filled completely. It looked like I had painted my own nails lol I bothered me but I just told myself it was fine until I had to pay. $68 bucks for an amateur job. Great nail place!! I was looking for a new nail salon in the Glendale neighborhood and after reading stellar reviews, I decided to test it out.I got an acrylic rebase with Tony--he is amazing! Very meticulous work and such a nice guy. It was overall, a great experience. Halfway through the appointment, the manager showed up and proceeded to take the time to greet his customers and ask them about their experience. He also thanked us for being customers. I called in for an appointment and was booked within 2 hours on a busy Friday. Excellent service, plenty of designs and colors to choose from as well! Ry gave me exactly what I wanted: an ombré full set with a skinny almond shape. She did an amazing job and was very detail oriented. This is by far the best full set I've gotten in Denver. Read Less

I've been there 3 times in as many months. Hurt or insulted or both each time (initially poor polish job and some cuts to feet, then drummel digging into nail bed, noticeably friendlier and more careful and solicitous of my friend while giving short shrift to my very expensive services, nails trimmed at different lengths and shapes). Tonight I went in to have my companion greeted by name, no hello or eye contact with me, and my companion told by the receptionist that the technician I had an appointment with was gone on family emergency. I totally understand the latter but they couldn't pick up the phone? Decided I don't need to pay premium prices to feel discounted and required to ask professionals not to burn or cut me, or to oil my cuticles as they do for other customers. Absolutely love this place, although yes, it's more high-end than some nail salons, so expect the prices to match that. However, everyone here is very professional; the space is very clean, modern, and bright; and they can usually get you in with just a day or 2 notice. They also have hundreds of options for nails colors if you like shellac/gellish -- way more than at any other salon I've seen, because they use multiple brands. And they do fantastic acrylics and SNS, as well as eyelash extensions.ACRYLICS:I've come here for acrylics many times, often at the last second, and I've never been disappointed with any one of the technicians. They're very meticulous, professional, and do a fantastic job. Recently, I've been going to Bella a lot, because she also does amazing eyelash extensions -- and her acrylic nail work has been flawless.LASHES:I finally gave in and decided to do eyelash extensions for the first time for the holidays this year. Bella laid me down on a comfy bed for 2 hours, with a fluffy blanket -- and I took a great nap while she meticulously glued eyelash to eyelash. Honestly, these eyelashes look fabulous and don't bother my eyes at all. She can make them look as natural or fancy as you want, but either way, they're very professionally done and feel almost real. She gives you a great discount for the first time, and it's something like $75 to get them filled every 2 weeks.Parking: if you can't find a spot out front on Colorado, there's usually a couple of spots around the back (look for the Nail Salon signs, even though they don't say 5280). It was a last minute change of plans, I had forgotten to make an appointment at my usual nail salon... big mistake lol so I went on yelp and found 5280 nails and spa. Called them up and got an appointment for 30 mins later. Perfect! I get there and am greeted very warmly and already feel right at home. Picked out my color and off I went (early might I add). These guys were able to fit me in for a basic pedicure within the hour when I called last minute on a rainy Sunday afternoon. It's a large salon with about 10 spa pedicure chairs and the same amount of manicure tables on the other side. Very pleasant staff, professional demeanor. Good assortment of OPI and Essie colors, plus some others I was unfamiliar with. $30 for a basic pedicure is pretty standard. My nails look great but overall the pedicure felt rushed. Certainly wasn't as thorough as it could have been, especially when it came to callus removal. It was also a little rough at times. He pushed my cuticles back too hard using that metal tool. Why do salons still use those, they injure your nail beds and you end up getting those white spots. He also filed the top of my nails with the coarse side of the emery board, totally unnecessary, and again probably injuring my nails. This was my first time at 5280 Nails and Spa and it was my first time ever getting a pedicure. I am very impressed with my first experience. The staff here were extremely pleasant, yet professional. The girl who did my pedicure was extremely friendly and consistently ensured if I was okay and relaxed. This location is very clean. I started working in the area and it was a very convenient location. I used to pick random people until I settled and now only Phoenix touches my nails. The atmosphere is a typical nail salon filled with harsh fumes but I'll be coming here from now on.i vary my choices from shellac to SNS to regular mani/pedi but still the final product is always great. I am so picket when it comes to my nails, especially when I get sns manicures! I was very skeptical about this place but needed a manicure that day and my normal lady was booked. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.The atmosphere is a typical nail salon filled with harsh fumes but I'll be coming here from now on.Bella did an amazing job on my nails. I tried the 5280 pedicure and loved it. The price is more than a typical pedicure, but you get what you pay for. She got my heels super smooth which is very important to me. The only thing I would change is to have deeper pressure for the massage, especially on my feet. She did a great job, and I would be happy to se her again. I will be back! Read Less

Phuong is the best! She did my nails 2 weeks ago, and they have yet to chip/lift. She did such an amazing job with my mani and pedi. Currently on a long vacation here from California & I  needed a fill on my acrylics. I'm very picky with my nails & Tony did an AMAZING job! He checked to make sure I was okay with the shape & color as he went along which surprisingly not every nail technician does. The only "eh" part of my experience was the price for a rebase & repair with Shellac- pretty pricey at $54 after my 15% check in discount; I only pay $40 at my nail lady in CA. Got a basic mani-pedi at 5280 Nails over the weekend with my friend and had a wonderful, luxurious experience. They arguably have the best massage chairs in Denver! The spa is very large despite its humble storefront, so my friend and I were able to sit together. The place is very popular so I recommend making a reservation. As soon as we checked in we were offered bottles of water and did not have to wait a long time to get into our pedicure chairs. They have three levels of pedicure treatments- they even have one with a paraffin wax treatment. The color selections are large and the work was flawless. I appreciated how clean the spa was. What a great find! I'm happy to find a nice, clean salon who offers SNS. I was also quite happy with their color selection, so many options! The only thing I wasn't crazy about is that they worked on my nails while I was getting a pedicure. While this saves time which I can certainly appreciate, I had come in after a long day at work and would've enjoyed a nice relaxing pedicure. Tony's attention to detail on my rebase was unparalleled. I paid just under 60 for.a rebase with specialty shellac and almond shape nail. Tony cleaned my nails tediously and has such a delicate touch. No discomfort at all. Reasonably priced for exceptional work! Read Less

I called and needed to get in quickly for a rebase. Nothing crazy - plain color with coffin shape. The technician was good - nice shape - and advised me the color I chose was extra. I went to pay and my total was $58.00 - for a REBASE ?! I was informed it's extra for the shape - which I already had and she filed them the same and more for the color !With tip this was almost $70.00 for a plain color coffin shape short nail. The rebase was fine - no hand massage  -  no accent nail - no design just pink coffin. This place is not turning out the kind of product anyone should pay $70.00 for a rebase.  Not worth that kind of money - I won't be back. Read Less

I used to really love this salon. Reasonable prices, and my nails always looked beautiful. Yesterday, I arrived and was told if I wanted solid color on a full set, I needed to do shellac over the acrylic, which would be an extra $19. I asked how much the full set was, and she said "It starts at $29." Well, that's fine, I'm not doing anything special, just an average, short full set. When I checked out, I was charged $44.95 for the full set (nothing special, short rounded squa...re tips, no design) and an ADDITIONAL $19 for the shellac. In addition, the acrylics stick up so much that I can see my nail beds underneath. Yes, I should have said something before I left, but I was on my lunch break and didn't have time to have them redone. Really disappointed in paying THAT much money for a full set of acrylics that look absolutely awful. I feel like crying when I look at my hands.... All for $65 + tip. See more Read Less

I went here on a recommendation from a friend. It's in a strip mall so nothing special there but the prices are average ($42 for a spa pedicure, $17 for a regular manicure) but if you combo them it's $4 off so $55 for both and if it's your first time there and check in on Yelp you get an additional 15% off. The deluxe pedi included a paraffin wax, sugar scrub, and hot stone massage. I thought the mani and pedi massages were great, but I noticed as I was leaving that the paint job on my toes was terrible (when the paint is thin and you can see your nail through it in patches) . I came back and they fixed it immediately however. The staff is friendly, they have massage chairs which are a must for me, and it they take walk-ins. Been coming here for a little over 2 years. I was in between nail places when I first visited 5280 Nails. Very clean & friendly place. Ty the owner always make sites your experience is good! It was a little more expensive than the other places I had gone to, but then TONY came to the rescue and made me realize, a little more pricey is worth it, bc he is one of the best nail technicians that I have ever worked with!! Tony has been doing my acrylic-gel based nails for over a year now, he's amazing!! I have never been dissatisfied and will never go to anyone else! I'm from out of town and wanted a good mani and pedi. I came in for 5:45pm appointment and they did both services at the same time and both came out great. It was efficient and didn't feel rushed at all. One thing I'd note is during massage for pedi I would have liked to just be relaxing instead of having my nails painted. I'd go back if I was in town. First time here and my experience was more costly and less quality than I've experienced elsewhere.The initial filing to remove my existing shellac actually hurt as the tech filed over my cuticles pretty good on my pinky finger - ouch. Just rushed seemingly and maybe not as thorough as I've had elsewhere. My manicure is ok- my cuticles weren't pushed back and the shaping is all off. Square nails here and there and round elsewhere- I asked for round. The little bowl of water I soaked my hands in was cold which wasn't very pleasant. My polish is bubbly in spots and chipping already unfortunately. Read Less
