If your just a walk-in (Powers location) there's a high probability you'll be asked to make an appointment for another day. I've only managed to get my eyebrows done and they looked nice but be willing to overpay. The staff is snobbish and the prices are way overpriced. It's nice inside however not a relaxing atmosphere unless you purchase a few cocktails. I wouldn't recommend with all the other salon options around town. Go somewhere else Read Less

Absolutely loved my experience at the Beauty Bar for the first time. My girlfriend and I went for a facial and pedicure. The atmosphere is open, interesting, and friendly. Drinks are a nice bonus too! The pedicure was good, but not worth the money. We had the Heavenly pedicure; which cost more than $70 each and within a week, I was having to do a callus removal treatment at home. I go to the cheap places around town and my pedicure will easily last a month before I need a callus treatment. If you just want a foo foo pedicure, it's great, but for the amount we paid, I expected more. Now, the facial, on the other hand, was amazing! They don't know how to schedule their clients for what services they have asked for so you only get half of the services your requested. This is particularly frustrating for women who work and have a difficult time clearing their schedules to get their services taken care of. We don't have time to make multiple visits to get our stuff taken care of. Plus, management is very uncooperative, cold, and rude. I'm never going back here again. Edit: I haven't said anything about being upset with the prices of the services. If I did, then I wouldn't have come in the first place. I understand your prices are non-negotiable and you couldn't honor the prices that my previous esthetician gave me while she worked there. But when I showed up for my appointment, your staff didn't even schedule me for all the services I have scheduled for, and when I come home to examine what was done, it was terrible service. I came in on Monday to get eyelash extensions done for my upcoming graduation. I got my BEAUTIFUL lashes done my chantel , and it was amazing ! She was so kind and friendly during the whole process and really made sure that you were comfortable and answered all the questions I had regarding the lashes. I normally do my hair with my aunty or my best friends mom back home on Kauai. I’ve always been skeptical about going to a salon. I spent weeks asking friends for advice on where to go. Ended up googling the best places. Beauty Bar was on the top of the list so I scheduled an appointment. I got JJ who was AWESOME! She was so easy to talk to and super sweet. This place is very beautiful. The price point is a little outrageous for the quality though. I’ve had much better service/quality for half of what I spent here. My acrylics looked as if I needed a fill right after they were finished. I get that they shouldn’t be touching the actual cuticle however the placement of the acrylic powder was a bit low to begin with. The whole time I’m there “relaxing” getting my nails done there was about 2-3 employees that came to communicate with my nail technician lady to complain about working there. *one issue that was mentioned was that their products are stolen often and misplaced. *another lady employee mentioned that she was going to take her nails off that night and then proceeded to pick out nails for herself from the nail container to take home with her. (Not sure if those belonged to her) the first employee came to mention she found some of her stuff in another persons station. And complained a bit more about the check in ladies that don’t do much. I heard all kinds of things. Basically I had a pedicure done for 48 bucks that was sub par. Nothing to rave about. Overpriced. Nails that were okay. Powder was put on a bit lumpy. And needed a fill. 🙄 now I’m use to the nail itself and cuticles to cleaned up before nails are put on. This location might not do that I am only mentioning it because for the amount I paid I expected that to be done. As nice as this place is I won’t be back. The whole concept of beauty bar is awesome. The shop is beautiful, they have nails on one side, and hair on the other side, with the bar in the middle. Holly gave me both a manicure and pedicure and did a great job. The price is pretty steep, but will go back for special occasions. Its winter time and they did not have the heat on, so if you go - definitely dress warm! Read Less

I have been going to Laura for over 2 years. When I think of excellence in the industry, I always think of Laura. She listens to what my goals are, offers great advice to get me there and her color....WOWZA! At this last visit, we talked about how my ends really needed a healthy trim. By healthy, we are talking at least 3 inches. Even though our goal for a long time was to grow my hair, it just wasn't looking the way we wanted it to look. So we did it! It was the best ...decision I have ever made. My hair looks and feels amazing, the cut looks better on me than the longer hair and it has volume! My root shade is perfect as is my blonde balayage. The blondes are nice and cool giving me the true ash look! Laura is very talented in color and her cuts are some of the best I've ever had. With lots of fine baby hair, I don't have a lot of texture to work with, and she makes it looks as though I have twice the hair. But overall I'm disappointed because shellac nails usually last 2 weeks and mine started chipping at the 8 day mark. :( I am rough with my hands and in the past they usually last me at least 2 weeks... usually 3 or 4. Going in my hair was a mess. A mix of old highlights, box dye, and a whole lot of brassiness.
