Hate this cut!! When I asked for long layers, she gave me a reversed mullet, taking all the length from the back and leaving length in the front instead. She showed me a picture that I rejected. It is also longer on the left than the right. I was never asked if a blow dry was ok. When she asked how I usually style my hair, I told her I didn't style it at all. I told her that reactions to products was a long-term Issue. The product she styled my hair with made my eyes burn, and my head itch for 5 days. My scalp also broke out. The product was likely rancid. I was also offered 20% off at the time of booking and was charged full price when I got there. Im so upset. It is going to take a year or more to grow this mess out. Still have to pay for a re- cut. No refund was offered. My call has not been returned regarding this issue. It has been over a week. I do not recommend this place at all. Unless of course you like getting a lopsided reversed mullet slathered in bad smelling, rancid eye stinging, skin irritating gunk for a high cost...only to be ridiculed by the owner after. Good show! A little over a week ago I went to Aspen Grove for a new look and was not as pleased as I thought I would be. I made an appointment with Chelsea for a week later and was able to come in and have my hair COMPLETELY transformed from what was previously done and left the salon beyond satisfied! I had such a great experience the second time around and the owner even called me to ask me how I liked my fixed hair. I was able to get my hair changed, free of charge. Their goal is to make sure their customers are 100% satisfied and they go above and beyond to reach that goal. Marisa is fantastic! I'm the type of person that puts off getting my hair cut for way too long. Despite being many months since the last time I had seen Marisa, she greeted me with a friendly smile and remembered so much about me from the first time she had done my hair. The first time she cut my hair she did such a fantastic job as I went from past shoulder length, to around my chin in length. I have had many bad experiences with my hair and some very botched haircuts. I truly trust Marisa and her expertise in being able to take the style I'm wanting and use her own skill to turn it into the perfect cut for me. I read the bad review written by the unhappy client and was shocked! I have never experienced anything like that and have found Caroline and her staff to be extremely professional and honor agreements. In my 7 years of going to Aspen Grove I have always felt not only respected, but pampered! Went to Marisa and she was just great. I was very happy with my cut and the color was great, but a little light on my very gray roots, but she offered to change it up and make it stronger next time. I was really surprised to see all the negative reviews here and wonder if the stylists of concern are no longer there. I went in twice last week, the first time I got my eyebrows/lip waxed. The second I got my hair done (balayage and reshaped - see photo). Marisa did a great job, as did everyone else that I observed in the salon. Each time I was there the salon was buzzing full of energy yet had a relaxing cabinesque ambiance. The chairs were comfortable (which is important for people like me who have low back pain), Everything was clean and well kept. They had great products (such as Kevin Murphy which are natural, sulphate free, paraben free and cruelty free). The owner was involved, taking clients, cleaning, complimenting her staff, etc. It seemed like a great work environment. I'd definitely return when in town and highly recommend this salon. Read Less

I can't comment on their services since I was never able to make it in to the salon. I am new to the area and I booked an appointment for a cut and color. Two days prior to my appointment I received my reminder call and was asked to come in an hour earlier. I told the woman on the phone that I couldn't leave work any earlier than I originally planned for my afternoon appointment. She suggested another date that didn't work out because I was going to be out of town and then she suggested an appointment two weeks later than my original. I explained to her I'd take it but i was disappointed because it was much later than I planned to come in. She then told me that's what happens when I need to reschedule. I reminded her that the salon was the one that overbooked and needed to reschedule me - not the other way around. I cancelled my appointment and booked with another salon in town. Rude service. It's all about Ann!! Love this salon and cannot recommend Ann Budge highly enough! I have curly hair, and she is simply a genius with it, I've never had a bad cut. I also get highlights from her, and while they are pricey, I feel the gorgeous color and superior products they use are well worth it. If you want a great, fun cut, go see Ann!  I have super short, pixie-like hair, and every time, without fail, I come home feeling great!  I also get color regularly.  This salon is extremely well-priced, especially given the competition, and I always come home beyond happy!  My hair says a lot about who I am, and Ann always listens and does an incredible job.  The decor, music, ambiance, etc., are also super cute, relaxing, and totally fun for the Castle Rock area. BEWARE.............The reason that all the reviews are positive is because the owner deletes ALL NEGATIVE reviews, she has done so twice!  I had my hair done here and then had another salon fix it because it turned out so horrible.  The salon that fixed it suggested taking pictures to try to get my money back because the color job was that bad.  I paid for a FULL highlight and all the owner did was place a few random foils here and there.  Hardly any foils were used and it was a very inconsistent pattern.   I contacted the owner to try to get my money back, the owner, Caroline, does not stand behind her work she only cares about herself.  Pictures don't lie.  If you are interested in seeing pictures please leave your email address and I will be more then happy to send them to you.  I would hate for someone else to learn the hard way like I did.  P.S.  the owner also double books, she left me waiting in the back corner for over an hour.  She has no respect for her clients, especially their time. This is a horrible salon and I will never return. Their organic hair products burned my hair and my hair is falling out. After getting this highlight I had to go to a dermontolgist to see what could be done. It felt like my head was on fire. This lasted for almost 2 weeks and I'm not kidding. They said my scalp was badly burned by this salons products. The owner Caroline was my stylist I asked if I could get my money back or least pay me half of my money and they wouldn't do it. It was very expensive at this salon prices was more than most. I asked them what could they do to help me stop the burning and they said maybe you are just alergic to the product or shampoo. They said don't wash your hair for a few days and let the oils come back in. That was it ...they didn't even offer to give me my money back or pay for my dermontolgist. Its unfortunate that not many people know about Aspen Grove salon due to its seclusion because it is the best salon in Castle Rock. I love the cozy atmosphere, clean setup, and comfortable furniture. They are experts at using natural products and Edward Scissor hands with the Sheers. All of the stylists are skilled and friendly but I am personally in love with Chelsea James, she is beautiful and incredibly talented at everything from wax to color. I remember the first time I went in I was amazed how gently she was with my sensitive scalp, I had never experienced that before with other salons. I have seen her correct hair coloring with the natural products that were impossible to fix with harsh chemicals. Her makeup application is even guaranteed to be better than you can do on yourself. Its amazing that she charges the least at the salon. She "specializes" in long blond hair but I believe her specialty is everything. So if want the best cosmetic treatment of your life I would certainly suggest you check out the Aspen Grove Salon. Read Less

Opened late, Bought a package deal and can't get them to honor it in a timely fashion. Called to schedule appointment, but they do not call back. Finally scheduled a facial, was told the night before they had no one to give a facial. They offered free Manicure. Showed up for free manicure and found out they scheduled 3 people for the same time for a manicure. Offered a free foot soak while waiting for manicure, was told that no one could do a manicure and offered a free pedicure. I did not go in for a pedicure, I wanted a facial. Excuses excuses excuses... At least I am not the only one with rude and poor service.How can one use a spa package that they bought 3 months ago when no one answers their phone and then when they finally do answer the phone, they cancel your appointments.
