A woman named "Pin" was just awful. Made a mistake and blamed me, was shaking her head, avoided the massage aspect of the manicure until I said something. Such an awful experience she worked hard to provide. I feel she was discriminating (I'm a dwarf aka little person at 4 '4). I've not written one negative review and this is my first if that gives anyone any idea how bad it was. Her home life suck's and she was venting on someone that she thought she could bully. I splurged and got a gel manicure on my birthday, but it was not done very well. Super disappointed in the how the color did not even cover my entire nail. Plus, the gal who did it was practically shouting/talking at her family members the entire time right in my face. Did not feel relaxing or cared for at all. Read Less

Oh man, blast from the past. I think the first time I went here was when I was 14... Back in the day when I did horrendously long acrylics. Well, after time away from Boulder and a lack of valuing my nail care for a decade, my nails became more critical in my career... But that's a whole different story (in not a weird way). I think I was afraid to go back bc I became so comfortable at my favorite place down the street. Honestly, I will start going here more. The service was impeccable, great shellac options, amazing long massage and $1 (or one doll hair), less than my usual. More than that, I can tip on my card and I NEVER have cash. I have a hard time believing all the terrible reviews of this place. Cindy has been doing my nails for the last 18 years, I like her so much I have followed her from nail salon to nail salon. The salon can get busy so i usually call ahead and schedule an appointment, or ask if I can come in right away. I have never found the salon to be dirty or unsanitary.  The technicians are pleasant, friendly, and fast. They seem to have a loyal customer base. I have always been pleased with my manicure or pedicure. I guess it is possible for someone to have a negative experience anywhere but I have been very satisfied. Was a little scared to try this place.  But was visiting from out of town and saw this driving down and thought why not...I was impressed.  Good selection of OPI polish. Better than some of the more expensive places I've been.  And speaking of money this was cheap compared to what im paying at home. $47 for my boyfriend and I to get pedicures and I got flowers painted on my big toes. Both times I have been here they have made me bleed, are rude, and the place is hot and uncomfortable. The lady who did my nails took $5 of my change for herself for her tip, and I had to ask her to give it back so I could give her the $1 tip she deserved. Horrible! Very rude lady running the show over at LA Nails. They did a horrible job on my nails. A different girl did my nails. She was being careless with the buffer and hurt me, i yanked my hand away and she didnt even apologize. My right hand nails are way longer than the left hand and the gel polish chipped after one day! I'm mortified by my experience.I was previously in the nail salon and received a TWO AND A HALF HOUR service by kristy (a nail tech of 8months) that consisted of a simple re-base and shellac application. After leaving and going back to work, I had noticed that the acrylic was on top of my cuticle and skin. Horrified that I had paid full price and received and amateur service, better known as an AWEFUL service. I went back to ask for a refund/help and was turned down, yelled at by staff and leaving with a whole $15 cash out of pitty. Been to lots of nail salons in Boulder.  My biggest complaint around town is that you don't get the attention that you need.  I mean you are paying for it, so they shouldn't be standing up mid pedi/mani to go assist someone else.  The problem is they will never turn anyone away and b/c of that, they fit too many people in and are inattentive.  I had a gentleman do my pedi/mani.  He did a fine job on my pedicure, but I never received a foot rub or massage, which I feel is customary at most nail salons.  The manicure I received was the worst ever.  I left with chipped polish on my nails and I mentioned something to them a number of times, but they weren't able to fix it and it didn't offer to take the polish off and make it right.  I ended up going to a place down the street and having it redone b/c I was so fed up.Needless to say, I wont' be going back to LA Nail Salon. I made an appointment for 9am and was served promptly.  I asked for acrylics and the lady who greeted me recommended pink and whites as they last the longest. My nail tech was Tuan, who had been recommended by someone on Yelp.  He seemed to do a good job, though the tips were left a bit wide. They did look nice but cost over $40.  I then left for a very relaxing vacation where I sat by a pool and did nothing.  In other words, I did nothing that would damage or stress my nail job.  After about a week the acrylic started to lift from the nail bed and by ten days one had popped off completely.  I removed the rest easily on my own after deciding not to go back and complain.  The review for this Tuan guy was two years ago - he should know how to do a good nail job by now.  The pedi area looked clean and had new equipment, but the rest of the place was drab and dirty.  That fact, combined with the way my nails came off so fast means I won't be back.  I can't in good faith recommend this place! Came here for mani/pedi. The made both at the same time. I don't know if the lady who did my manicure couldn't see well or just didn't know and didn't care what she was doing, but my nails looked the same as before the manicure if not worse. I would give this place zero stars if I could. This place is awful. I went in to have my shellac removed and a regular manicure. The guy cut me multiple times, making me bleed, while filing my nails. Then I sat for an hour with acetone on my nails. Don't go here unless you want to leave with battle wounds instead of a manicure. Read Less

This place just wasn't good. I tried it because they were the only place I could find open on Easter Sunday. They had someone's 10 year old son take off my gel polish, which was slightly awkward and resulted in acetone running in rivers down my hands and arms. The gel manicure I got was horrible, the polish was all over my cuticles, pooled into the sides of my nails and uneven. It started chipping and peeling with a week. I would have asked them to fix it but the atmosphere was so unpleasant (due to other customers, not the salon's fault) that I just wanted to get out of there. They're getting an extra star because the tech who did my nails was pretty friendly and they were working on Easter, but I definitely won't be back. Read Less

They cut me during a manicure and then poured alcohol on it, and the woman hastily tried to cover up the fact I was bleeding by continuously wiping my finger off. Goopy polish, cheap. Mold growing under the rubber mats as well. I prefer the cleanliness of Eagle Nails. Read Less

I had been here once for a manicure and it was decent so I decided to come in for a "spa manicure." I was completely disgusted. Tools weren't sanitized (that I can tell).The massage chair was broken. Water was cold even after I told him it was cold. No massaging (though he did apply some lotion to the front of my legs), sloppy cuticle work, almost no pumicing, and as soon as two other girls sat down in the chairs next to mine he didn't even look at my feet and legs (which are attractive, they weren't gross or anything) while he was working except to apply polish. The polish selection was unimpressive and the service was poor.There are plenty of other places in Boulder I'd rather go to that are just as affordable but clean and the technicians actually give a proper pedicure. This place is fast, dirty & cheap.  They were in a huge hurry and kind of butchered me. They clipped my finger and toenails super quick and just filed with a few swipes so I was left with some sharp edges and uneven shapes. I actually grabbed the file and cleaned up my nails when the technician stepped away for a minute. She also hurriedly did my cuticles and nipped too close and made me bleed. The paint was a little sloppy, too.  They just used the same tools over and over again. No sterilizing between clients. I would not have gone here, but I was in a pinch.  I will not go again. What a grumpy nail technician! I came here to get my nails and eyebrows wax done. Ngoc, a nail technician, did my pedicure, she did a decent job. And there is this grumpy nail technician who did my manicure and eyebrows wax.  She is an okay job. The place is small, and oh my goodness, messy and dirty in the wax room.
