Made an appointment for the "classic" pedicure for myself and a friend after reviewing the website and service menu/pricing.
Based on the layout of the menu, the expectation was that the parrafin dip was included, since it was listed WITH the service description, and even on the in-salon menu, it was in its own box separate from all other services.
Listed on the site as follows:
"Classic Pedicure $24
Balance your feet and relax from your soles up as your feet and lower legs are soothed and stimulated by the spa pedicure. Includes an aromatic foot soak reshapes nail cuticle detail, pedicure, scrub exfoliation, callus remover, massage with a unique moisturizer lotion. Finish with warm towels followed by polish.
Paraffin wax retains heat, and this heat increases the skin's circulation and opens pores n the skin, allowing the lubricants in the wax to penetrate and soften the skin."
When I asked about the paraffin (because she was about to start polish), the girl was like "Oh no, you read it wrong".
Um, no.
I went about my service, and i notice at the end (after she moves on to the next pedicure without saying a word) that one of the nails is chipped and my big toenail has a huge smudge in it. So I wait 10 minutes for another lady to come over and hurriedly slop on new polish over the smudged polish then rudely tell me to go sit by the window.
Lastly, once we're ready to leave, we're getting cashed out by the owner, who we explained the menu situation to, only to be told once again that we "read it wrong" and that she didn't understand how we couldn't understand. No apologies, no assurance of future correction, just a "Oh, you must not understand".
Never. Again.
**UPDATE 6/13/17**
I called the salon yesterday afternoon regarding my service/experience and was told to come in so they could look at the quality and provide a refund. I stepped in just after 6 and was told to have a seat, only to be ignored for over 10 minutes before I stepped back up to the front desk. I spoke with a woman (not the same from earlier) who instead of apologizing for the issue, tried lecturing me on color and how sometimes it looks different out of the bottle. I reexplained that the issue wasn't with the color, but with the sloppiness of the application and the subsequent chipping. I advised that as someone who has had dozens of pedicures over the years, I'm familiar with what the outcome should or shouldn't look, and that until now I've never had an issue with a polish staying on my toes. Eventually after talking in circles for several minutes, I stopped her and plainly asked if I'd be provided with the refund I was promised and she refused to answer, instead attempting to continue talking in circles and explaining how pigment works. I finally had enough and advised that if she was unwilling to provide the refund, I'd simply leave and dispute it with my bank to get my refund that way.
It was at that point, another woman stepped over (who turned out to be the woman I had spoken with earlier) who finally agreed to provide me with a refund. Once she stepped away, the first woman proceeds again to continue on with her color lecture, but now found it necessary to start raising her voice at me until I reminded her that I was the customer and she needed to bring her tone down. When she refused I simply let her know that our interaction was over and she needed to walk away.
I finally received my refund after several minutes, and walked out after almost a 30 minute ordeal. This whole experience was an absolute nightmare, so save yourself the frustration and pay the extra $10 ANYWHERE else. Read Less
