First time walking into a Beauty Brands store and was given attitude by the employee Ashley and felt immediately unwelcomed. Got my hair cut here - Jenny Van Schoyck was A-MA-ZING! I have a short pixie cut but my hair is difficult and thick - so many stylists think it's a piece of cake and they always end up screwing it up. I brought pics and Jenny was patient, talked with me about my ideas, walked me through what she was going to do and then executed my cut perfectly! I love this place. They carry tarte make up and perfect hair day products so I can run in and get what I need without sensory overload like in Ulta. I just wish they would carry more from anastasia of beverly hills instead of a few random makeup lines but at least they do have ABH eyebrow stuff. Read Less

I used to see Roxy who was amazing at cutting my bob! Now she is gone and I went to another stylist there. She cannot cut a bob! Uneven layers and the back was longer than the sides, even though I had to direct her. Still, was horrible. You could see the jagged difference throughout my hair. It was so long after, I called and booked another appointment and asked for a master stylist (like Roxy was) and said I did not want to see the person that made a mess of what was supposed to be a bob. I arrived for my appointment and was told that the person that was supposed to have my appointment was running late. They wanted me to see a stylist who was supposedly an instructor. I said OK and was floored to see the same person come out that had given me a cut that was NOT a bob. I thought I would give her another chance. Same problem! My hair is shorter, but the back is longer and it is jagged and uneven! I'm thoroughly upset. I have to go to another salon to get it fixed. This is NOT a bob! She kept putting oily things in my stick straight fine hair throughout the process of cutting. Had no clue that she had to focus on the roots for lift to blow it dry. This girl has no idea how to cut my type of hair. I'm devastated that they would give me the same girl that botched it the last time. I will never, and I mean never go back to Beauty Brands to have my hair cut. Roxy was a pro, now that she's gone I have to find another salon. NOT RECOMMENDED! Read Less

Love this place and Tricia who does my nails. She's awesome at what she does friendly and great personality, I love that she keeps conversations going and there is never a quiet or awkward moment. Shannon who does my brows. I don't get anything fancy when it comes to my brows I just keep them cleaned up but she's does an AWESOME job! This place is great. It has all of the stuff you cannot find at the normal grocery store. Their prices are great and they have wonderful customer service. They have a great selection of hair care products and really good sales throughout the year so you can stock up.  The majority of the people who work here have been helpful the times I've come in (I think one time there was someone there who was new and had some issues, but that was only once).While this has nothing to do with this store, I wish there was a BB closer to my house.  This is the closest one to me and it's almost 12 miles! I will never come back here again!! I never write reviews but I don't want anyone else having to go through what I did!!I have medium length hair and was supposed to get a perm and cut. After 3 hours my hair is now fried, almost straight, and extremely poofy. I needed it done for my brothers wedding and they handled their mess up by repeatedly putting me on hold with poor customer service!! I was told a manager would call me back tomorrow then was hung up on without them getting my contact information.  I paid for an experienced level stylist and got horrible results!!! Poor Quality! My first time here and I'll be back... Received a wonderful cut and color from Tawnee.  I admit I had a little sticker shock since I'm used to getting my hair cut elsewhere.Tawnee spent quite a bit of time with me finding out exactly what I wanted since I was a new client.  I have to say she hit a homerun with me.  My hair is very thick and apparently hard to cut.  I just thought I had an unmanageable cowlick that would never be tamed.Turns out, there's an art to cutting thick (or curly) hair for that matter.  I'm so happy the back of my hair now hangs straight and my bangs aren't hanging in my eyes any more.So long barbershop, hello beauty! I walked in at 9:00 am hoping to get a haircut.  This was my first experience with this establishment.  The young lady in the front was helping a customer so I waited a minute, no acknowledgement of any sort.  Then I walked to the salon area thinking they might be able to help me.  A stylist asked if I had been helped, I said no.  Then I was told she will help you.  Don't know who she was.  Same stylist walked by again and asked what I was there for and did I have an appointment.  I said a haircut and no I did not have an appointment.  Then I was told again she will help you.  Again I am wondering who she is.  I began walking out.  The young lady in the front who is still with the same customer now wishes to acknowledge me as I am leaving.  I left and voiced that I did not like to be ignored and the least little bit of acknowledgement would have encouraged me to stay.  Business is competitive and good customer service really does count. Haircuts and colors from Lana in the salon are the best. She knows how to put a little pizzazz into a cut and I get lots of compliments. I like going here because the stylists are trained and stay updated on techniques and products. It's also nice to do other services combined with your hair appointments like waxing or manicures. As you are leaving the store, it's fun to check out what products are on sale or pick up a beauty product. The staff is polite and the facility is clean and well lit. Read Less

Beauty Brands is a one-stop shop for nail, skin and hair care.  Not only do they offer a nice selection of retail products, they also have a full-service salon onsite.  The concept is similar to Ulta but I like the fact that the store is smaller and more focused on core products instead of branching out into the drugstore space.I haven't used any salon services at Beauty Brands so I can't speak to the quality of those.  Today's visit was for the specific purpose of picking out some new nail polishes.  Summer is quickly approaching and the fingers and toes are ready for some extra attention.  They offer high quality brands, including CND and OPI, to name just two.  I was also pleased to see they had a shelf with discounted polishes so I was able to pick up a few at a really good price.The store is well kept, clean and organized.  They offer better quality brands than Sally Beauty Supply.  I also found the ladies who worked there to be very pleasant and helpful.  I will definitely return when shopping for beauty products. Super service despite noisy atmosphere! As with previous reviewer, atmosphere is the only reason for less than 5 stars. My stylist at the Chambers/Parker location was Roxanne ("Roxy"); she is also one of their Master Stylists and well deserves the title. With a few highlights that took her about 10 minutes to apply, she turned an ugly banana-yellow home dye disaster into a bright, layered color perfectly matched to skin tone. Also went from shoulder-length hair to an angled bob - was concerned as I have some awkward "cowlicks." This cut is PERFECT. I can almost roll outta bed, comb it and go - not sure that's ever happened for me! The price for both (varies based on stylist qualifications) was $100 but worth every penny. Obviously Beauty Brands' Master Stylists really have to earn it; cannot recommend Roxanne highly enough. Read Less

The staff is always welcoming, and they offer everything in one spot. The waxing and skin treatments are inexpensive in comparison to other places in the area, but not for lack of service/experience.
