Very poor service. My daughter came for her first mani/pedi for prom and had a terrible experience beginning to end. The tech did every up charge service knowing she had no idea they were an extra charge. She tried to take regular polish and they instructed her to take shellac. Her cuticles were bleeding. She ended up with black toe polish because they didn't tell her to pick a polish before she sat down and that was what was sitting there. Tech talked on the phone during appointment. I've been here three times and every time I was severely disappointed. Not only by the work, but also the lack of care by the technicians. The second time I went, my nail tech told me she didn't really even like doing nails and her work showed it. I was very hesitant to go back, but I had to do a few things over by there and thought I'd give it one last try. 3rd visit. The girl who did my pedi & rebase didn't really massage my legs and feet that well, even after I had e...xpressed to her that they were hurting from work the night before. My rebase was half-assed, she gave me attitude about how I wanted my French tips done when I showed her a picture (more nail bed and less tip) but did the exact opposite and I asked for them to be fixed. She even told me to come back in two weeks to have it redone if I didn't like it. Two weeks? Wtf is that? I rarely have money to treat myself for pedicures and need my nails to last me AT LEAST three weeks ... I had gone to another nail salon in Arvada and my shellac kept coming off in about a week, so I noticed that Westwoods always had a steady flow of customers. I decided to try it out and glad I did. I see Leah and she is very good. She does not pile on the shellac, so it peels or too little. She puts just the right amount of coating and it lasts two weeks and I am a busy Mom with 3 kids who is not easy on her nails. I got my nails done last week and at my own fault (fixing a garbage disposal and assembling furniture), a few of my nails chipped/broke. I have been looking for a nail salon to do the new Dip Powder nails, other places have looked sloppy or just really thick. From the phone call to make an appointment to leaving the salon after Vicky did my nails and a last minute toe polish change, everyone was so friendly and professional. My nails feel and look great. I love this nail salon. I've been going here for 10+ years and will drive the 20 minutes I live just to visit West Woods. They do a good job, get it done quickly and it's affordable. I'm not the most patient person so I would recommend calling ahead.I can understand the bad reviews below about staff not being the most friendly, but I've honestly thought that about every nail salon I've ever visited. Place is nicely dressed, but made an appt for nails at 5, and they started my pedicure at 520. The girl took 20 minutes and did a terrible job, i was really upset. She told the manager she didn't want to do my nails which was fine, I asked the manager for my ticket as I no longer wanted to get my nails done.The manager wouldn't let me pay for my pedicure and, she wanted to make things right. She did my nails instead. She took off my previous nails and started from scratch and did a full set of pink and white. It took an hour and a half to get the old ones off and the new on a perfect, but she made it happen. My nails have never looked so good. I've been to numerous nail salons in Missouri, as well as Colorado and Westwoods is hands down the best. All nail techs do a phenomenal job and I'm happy to see any of them, but if I get the chance, I book with Kim. Her work is PERFECTION. I like almond shaped nails and she does them perfectly every time, as well as quickly. I've been getting my nails done for about 12 years and she is the best I've ever had. The interior is clean and beautifully designed. They have SO many polish and shellac choices and are always happy to assist in choosing a shade when needed. The music is great too. I used to come here a lot. Since the last time I've been here, I've seen bad reviews on the male techs. Went back today since I had a gift card but shouldn't have,he didn't even cover my nails completely. Manager said "He's been here a long time" & "oh,sorry". Gave them gift card/no tip and left. I will never go back to Westwood Nails. I called in to ask if I could come in for a pedicure. I did not request anyone specifically but said I did not want a male because I had a bad experience with one of the men who dug so deep into my skin that it was very very painful. When I arrived today one of the two males was my technician anyway. He was not at all attentive to giving me a good pedicure looking away or talking to the others much of the time as he did my nails. His scraping the bottoms of my feet and massage was half hearted in the least. He spoke maybe three words and was very impersonal. Not a very friendly staff. Asked to get an opinion on color and the nail tech said I don't like either of them. Great! Then the lady that was setting up the pedicure made the water very hot and I asked to cool the water a little and she made the water cool. Told her it was too cold and she got mad. Really! I redownloaded yelp on my iPhone just so I could give this review. I get my nails done every two weeks and I'm a pretty laid back person who's never given a bad review. But not only were these ladies rude but my nails were done so sloppy. The lady who did my nails was really harsh and kept hurting me but I let it go. My nails are uneven, not the shape that I wanted, and the color looks so ridiculously sloppy and not to mention she took forever. It was just a rebase which usually costs about 20-30 dollars but at the end she said it was 40 because my nails are long. My nails are not that long and I've never in my three consistent years of getting my nails have heard someone charge me extra money because of it. Idk what is with all the bad reviews. I see Sang every two weeks. I think he's great! My nails last FOREVER when he does them. He's absolutely hilarious too. I went here for my very first time and was very very disappointed at the poor service I received . I went to get a pedicure, mine  was started after the girl sitting next to me and was done before she was done! The gal that did my pedicure just rushed through the whole thing.she never even greeted me or spoke to me! She only pointed or tapped my foot for directions. West Woods Nails, on 64th by Kohl's, is the WORST! They have always been rude, but today was horrible! They got mad that I painted My three year old daughter's nails while she sat on my lap. I have been coming here for years. I love that they always have the most most up-to-date products. The service is timely and friendly. They just finished a remodel that makes the place so fresh and inviting. The massage chairs always work and the water is always warm, unlike other salons in the area. The price is also reasonable for a UV mani and regular polish pedi. I can keep the product on my hands for at least 3 weeks! I come here every three weeks and will continue coming here. Read Less

Terrible customer service! They rather lie to their customers faces then attend to the customer. They told me that they would help me and service me however I didn't realize I had to wait till after the technician had to eat. They told me oh no I need to keep waiting. Took my daughter and her best friend to get nails done for her friends birthday. I also treated myself to a pedicure. I work 12 hour night shifts at the hospital, so my toes love a good pampering... they didn't even come close here. My daughter said her technician was extremely rough and yelled at her, both of them had a few crooked nails. The technician next to mine started speaking in vietnmese to my tech, making a sour face while looking at my feet and I distinctly hear...d her say the word "bunion" which I have, then two other technicians all turned to study my feet, simultaneously. She never cheese gratered my feet and my massage was only about 15 seconds on my left foot, as she kept getting up to take care of the register. *The ONLY reason I am giving this salon more than one star is because the owner was very gracious and kind to my unhappy sister. My sister and I came to Westwoods this evening for a regular manicure (me) and a full set of shellac (sister).  Sister was put with a nail tech (didn't catch her name) who was quite rude and impatient, it didn't help that both were struggling with the language barrier issue. The tech was very rough with sisters hands and injured her cuticles. Every time sister expressed how she wanted her nails to look the tech would sigh angrily, grunt, and get all exasperated. By the end of the manicure sister was crying about the state of her nails but was prepared to just pay and leave. The owner noticed how unhappy she was and immediately fixed the nails, which now look great. As far as my own manicure, it's what I should have expected for a $15 manicure. Cuticles still messy, edges were filed lopsided, sloppy color application. Neither of us will be returning and will gladly drive farther/pay more for better service. Read Less

I am a very discerning customer who spent 16 years in Dallas, so I know a good manicure and pedicure.  I have been going to Westwoods Nails since I moved to Arvada in October 2014.  This nail salon is generally very busy, yet Kim goes out of her way to know each customer personally and professionally.  The salon always accommodates walk ins (unless you arrive close to closing) and they do what they can to appease any unsatisfied customers.  However, you have to speak up if you are unhappy during your service, otherwise, the newer technicians cannot learn and the salon cannot make things right. I too have gone to Westwoods Nails since they opened and I was there today. It unfortunately will be the last time. In the last few months, I have had several occasions where the work was sub-standard. Normally I complain and make them re-do but I think this was the last straw today. I didn't have the time to waste. I had a pedicure by someone who has been there for years, the massage chair was non-functional as I think most of them are, and my back was being poked by whatever mechanical piece is in the back. I had to sit forward the whole time. Then to top it off, the nail painting was at a 5 year old level. So thick that one half hour later a big glob game off. I will never come back to this salon. My first time in the technician rushed through my acrylic nails leaving me with jagged edges, uneven nails and an awful design, one nail with a huge polish smear. I forgave because I came in at 630 and close time is 7 but truly, if the tech was unwilling to stay past closing to give me quality nails she should have said this job is too large for the time I have, can we reschedule. The second time I went in I was having the above acrylic nails removed and replaced with shellac polish. The tech shredded my real nails, tearing the acrylic off way too quickly and very painfully. One of my real nails is ripped in half, down the middle. I was bleeding all over the files and equipment. Another nail was ripped to the quick and is so sensitive now. On my other hand one of my nails has a hole, exposing the quick and now ultra sensitive to pressure and water. She should have taken more time to be gentle. My nails are now very messed up and I wasn't able to get polish due to the open wounds. She still charged me $20, the price of a manicure when all I had was old acrylic removed and my cuticles cut back.I will never be back, I gave a second chance and am now regretting it. Read Less

I called to get a price quote for a men's wool peacoat. After asking me 3-4 questions about the coat, the woman on the line said she could not give me a quote. I asked for a general price range and she said she did not know what I was talked about. I kindly requested she confer with another employee and she refused.
