I have been going to Elegant Nails for years now. They have always had great prices and great people working there. But the customer service, cleanliness and employee work quality has only gotten worse the past few times I have gone. I kept going in thinking it was maybe just a bad day, but patterns are patterns. The work is very rushed, fast, painful and the nail painting job is poor quality. The shop is dirty, nail tables are dirty and tools are not cleaned properly. I made an appointment for my best friend and I at 1pm and did not get seated till 1:45pm. I am sad to see that the service has fallen which is why I will not return. Love coming here they do a great job. Love the pedicures and the free nail art is wonderful. But now I have to find a new place. Why you ask. Well my 19yr old granddaughter is a regular as I and my daughters are as well. And she went to get her nails done about a week ago and she was not pleased with the work so she asked that they correct it. They did correct there mistake but asked my granddaughter to find somewhere else to go cause she does not like them. Who does that. I was a long-time client of the Oasis Day Spa (Arvada) and was so sad when it closed over a year ago. I have been searching for a place that offers "regular" manicures AND quality pedicures. By "quality", I mean real pedicure (jacuzzi-type) tubs, not just a bucket of cold water, massage chairs and all the pampering options! My tech was "Jennie" and I LOVE her! She took her time, made me feel special and did an amazing job on both my mani and pedi and all at an extremely reasonable value! It was my first time visiting and I so look forward to going back. After 35 years of getting my nails done with every kind of nail that you can imagine, I would call this place THE WORST that I've ever seen!!!!!! After waiting in line and 5 people being seated before me, I was taken to a chair, and yet somehow was up and done in 18 minutes!!! The nail tech seemed upset and RUDE that I didn't want shellac!! I don't like shellac, and I don't need to be treated like that because I don't want to pay more money for something I don't want!!! Whatever happened to good old-fashioned customer service?!! It literally went out the window with these Vietnamese salons!!! I was up FASTER than anyone else who had been seated before me!!! The rebase was sloppy, bumpy, nails not painted correctly with many bare spots, and I even had nail material underneath sticking out and my previous nail color still on the sides!!!! I asked for the owner, but she was not there, and the other lady told me they can fix it for me, but I had to go to work. This business felt like I was in a cattle drive, and I will NEVER return. I have given this place plenty of chances but you really get what you pay for. I always go in for a full set with glitter tips. All the ladies I have had and the male made me bleed. One lady couldn't even get the tips to stay on my nail and went and got a completely different color and put them on. They always rush through and most the time your bails aren't fully dry before they make you leave to seat the other people waiting. There is no room always crowded and the ladies never even talk to you or respond if you try to start a conversation they are just there to get a quick buck and leave. The free design is cool and all but there has been two occasion where I came in and asked for NO design 4 times while getting my nails done and they still put rhinestones and a flower. It's cheap but I would rather spend an extra 10 at a place that does good quality work and actually cares about their people. If I were you I wouldn't waste my time or money. Read Less

My manicure was hurried and the massage portion was only a quick application of lotion. I chose a shimmery watermelon color with a silvery accent nail with a slight blue tint.  What I received look like the dang star spangled banner.  Certainly not the look I was going for in January.  When I said I didn't care for the colors the nail tech told me it would be too difficult to change.  I give a second star only because I have had a couple manicures here with very friendly service in the past, but I do not believe I will be returning. This was hands down the WORST experience at a nail salon I've ever had. It is disgustingly dirty and clearly no management. There were kids running around, one of which was sick, coughing all over not covering his mouth and ultimately threw up.  While the child's behavior is not the business's responsibility, it is their responsibility to ensure a clean and enjoyable environment. Possibly the worst gel manicure I've ever had. Uneven, none of my nails are fully painted. Some have bumps. My nails are sharp with very jagged edges. I asked for coffin, they did square. I asked her sooo many times not to use the electric file on me (my nails are real and very strong and long and awesome because I take care of them) she just kept arguing with me and did it anyways. Also argued with me about what I wanted on my nails color-wise. Will not be back, will not recommend. I'm embarrassed to walk around with this manicure for another week but if I want my nails to stay strong I can't get the gels taken off this soon. Read Less

Tried this place bc it was in an area I frequently run errands....The place is dirty and I got an unfinished manicure. There is polish all over the walls, work areas are dirty and they clearly reuse materials....the nail tech pulled the top of the lotion spout off and took lotion from the stem to apply it to my hands (I declined the lotion from a contaminated bottle).  Interesting fact: nail salons are not supposed to reuse files unless they can be sanitized (porous surfaces cannot be sanitized properly...did you know that?)... I chose a dark polish and she rushed through my manicure so much that the polish was uneven, didn't wrap the tips of my nails so they're rough and look unfinished. I should have known what experience this would be by the looks of the waiting area and that she removed my previous manicure (not done here) with a drill instead of soaking off. I have been going to them for a while now and I thank them because I no longer bite my nails so when I get my nails done they are my real nails. They have become stronger too. After coming here for 4 years and setting appointments that are ALWAYS 45 minutes late, I made an appointment for noon with Lee with the owner, (expecting to be seen around 12:45 or 1) I get there and the owner tells me that Lee is on vacation and no one else knows how to do a rebase?!!! Best nail salon in the area! Trust me, I've tried them all. They always do a great job and use the best products. My favorite thing about Elegant Nails is they offer free basics designs (French tip, polka dots, stripes, etc.). It's a very small additional fee if you want a more complex design. Some advice though, come in with a design already in mind. They don't have any examples of designs in their shop even though they are constantly doing them. I do have one complaint, and it's because of this complaint I've tried every other salon in the area hoping to find a better one. They are terrible at honoring appointment times. When you call for an appointment, they will always say your requested day/time is available even if there are already lots of other appointments scheduled in the same slot. They obviously don't want to lose business by suggesting a different time. When you show up for the appointment, be prepared to wait 15-60 minutes. It can be incredibly frustrating. They are very busy (which shows how good and popular they are) so the wait can be quite extensive. I wish they'd figure out a better system for appointments. Regardless, I'll keep going despite thisissue because this is the best nail salon on the northwest side of Denver. Read Less

Place was dirty and unorganized. I went in for a shellac French manicure and a regular pedi. First off, she didn't take the color that was already on my nails off before she started the French mani. So I pointed it out and she kept going. Then I said I didn't want that other color showing like it did so then she "redid" my nails. She did a poor job and they look clumpy. The girl doing my pedi was super abrasive and rude. The polish she was using was old and was not drying right. When I shower her what was happening. She blamed me and asked what I did. Wtf! She redid it and again it was awful. I saw people coming in who had appointments having to wait long times. Not to mention you get charged more if you pay with credit card. I was super upset about my nails when I left I had to go home and my mom had to call to tell them how terrible this salon did and she called them and told them she needed my money back. The lady told my mom for me to come back in and get them taken off and give me my money back. I did just that and the lady asked to see them she said they looked great. I've been coming here since the owner opened. I loved the free design and the cate they put in their work. I came today and I wanted to show the technician a short 2min video of what I wanted, she seriously said, "show me a picture I don't have time". I ended up getting something else, I asked for a half moon with no nail polish at the nail bed. I ended up with a dam crater, literally half of my nail doesn't have polish. I'm so irritated , then you add the extra cost for paying with a card.  It's upsetting because they're so close to my  house, I guess I'll look for a new place. Read Less

I got acrylics here and sadly it's two stars.  It was super busy and even with an appt. had to wait 30 min.  I would suggest going on a weekday and not counting on a reservation. My nail technician was April and she seemed to be in a hurry. Shes quiet and sweet but sadly my nails did not turn out well.  The acrylic is lumpy and it's not fully on my nail.  I will give it another try later on because the prices are so good. This place is horrible waited 25 minutes when I had an appointment told them specifically how I wanted my nails done couldn't even do them the right way they were still thick, different lengths, some were narrow some wide. Call talk to manager is all she could say was if they looks nice when you left basically there was nothing they could do so is all she did was apologize. I would not recommend this place to anybody. I have been coming to Elegant Nails for a little over a year and they almost never disappoint. They are always so nice and try to be as accommodating as possible given that they're always busy. Over the year or so I've been coming here they have gotten to know me and taken the time to get to know my style and what I like. I usually let them do whatever they want after I pick the color, and they always nail it. Better yet, if they don't, they'll re-do it for you. So I've been searching of a nail salon close by home and I finally found the one! I came in around 5, no appointment needed -- of course I did have to wait but they seated me within five minutes and started to work on my nails. My nails are perfectly thin, the paint isn't thick and the gem stones are placed so beautifully! I just moved down the street from here and needed a new place to go so I decided to try this place out. They were super busy when I first got there which surprisingly I was happy about because it meant they had a well known name. So at first I was worried with the designs and art I wanted I was going to end up paying a crazy price like other places but they are very decently priced and did an AMAZING job!
