Worst pedicure I've ever received and rude staff. I made an appointment but they must overbook as I was left waiting. It only got worse as more and more appointments came in and were also left waiting, some walked out and others were just grumpy and complaining. I have followed Kim around for at least 10 years. Our children are the same age. I remember being pregnant at the same time. Kim I consider you my friend but I love your salon. All your staff is awesome. Your salon is super super clean. I'm a germ freak. Kim is my friend but I would never visit if Venus Nails was dirty. I have a 16 year old son who loves to have a manicure. Love this salon. Kim and Jennifer are always so nice and take their time making sure my pedicure is perfect. I get the longest massage and their gel manicure lasts me a month if not longer. I usually call and make an appointment with Jennifer but realistically all the staff are great and very good at their job. I would recommend this place to anyone!!! Read Less

Clean. Friendly. Great shape. The ONLY downside was calling and getting quoted $28 and she charged me $38 for a full set of basic gel nails. She used powder and smoothed my nail beds out. They charged more then any other place and my nails look nasty. You can see the tip even though it was clear. Iv been to a few places but never had this problem. I came here because I had a gift certificate, so I didn't really know what to expect. As soon as I walked in, the workers were super attentive and started working on me right away. They had quite a few gel polish colors, so I went with a gel glitter option. My nail technician made sure the shape of my nails were precise and evenly shaped. Very disappointed and insulted. I pretty much work pay check to pay check especially after Christmas, so I only go to the nail salon when I get paid. I got paid on 1/15, so I must have gotten my nails done on that day or the 16th. Well, today 1/27 I checked my account and I am overdrawn!!!! The charge that sent me into the red was from my nails at Venus 2 weeks ago. I called to ask why it took almost two weeks to process my visa bank card payment and Venus basically called me a liar. The woman on the phone said that I had to have been in onto the shop on the 20th and that maybe someone in my family probably took my card and used it. How insulting is that? I work out of town all week long and I was in San Jose the whole work week!!! Okay, so I'm wrong because I didn't keep a close watch on my banking activities. I own that. But, 2 weeks for a nail job to clear the bank and then they did the transaction the day before I get paid and put me overdrawn? What the heck???? I was really starting to like the place because the location worked for me I will not be going back for the simple reason that they didn't own up to their mistake and turned it around on me that "maybe my family member or someone stole my card" Come on! And to top it off! I gave them a $5 tip. And I liked the ladies who have done my nails in the past. Something went wrong and it wasn't me and it surly wasn't my family. Since Venus did not own up to even a possibility of a mistake on their part or with their Visa machine I'm concerned why they would hang onto my Visa information so long and what are they doing with it. this place is horrible. the ladies working there are so freaking rude!!!!!!!!!!! i walked in and asked the lady how long is the wait. she asked what i needed done, so i told her just a polish. she then told me it was going to be 30 minutes. im sorry but they had no one else there but me!!!!!! 30 minutes? are u kidding me?!!! im sure if i asked for something more pricey they wouldnt have this wait time! i will never go back in here since this is the second time they did this. why did i go back.... the world may never know haha Read Less

This salon is nothing extraordinary. Its a clean shop with friendly staff, but i have way, way better pedicures. Whenever I get my nails done regardless of the place I usually know that Im at least leaving with a good back rub given by the pedi chair. This place didn't offer either. And the owner at least I think she is isn't very friendly either. Lastly this place is literally down the street from my house, but im still going to drive across town to galaxy nails from now on. Went in yesterday for pedis with my wife. As usual she gets the energetic person. That goes the extra mile to do a good job on her and she did. Found this place on here and took my husband and I to get deluxe pedis yesterday. Well the reason I have to give 2 starts is my husbands lady did a really crapy job. My lady did a good job and would have been great except I had asked to have nail art on my toes at the end and she forgot. But I had told my lady that my husband was not happy with his heals and she said she would fix it. Well his lady just finished and put his sandals on and walked away. I again said to my lady his feet still needed work and so she sent his last back to get a new pumas stone and proceeded to look pissed and scrubbed half assed his heals again. Well after all of that he still was fuming from asking twice for work that should be a no brainer. I had to calm him down on the way out the door. So now after that I am taking him to another salon tomorrow to get another pedi. I hate leaving bad stars,  but they were given two extra shots to make his $30 pedi worth it. Ask for Juliana! She does a great  job and doesn't try to do more than you ask. She actually told me today that I didn't a manicure and we just did a polish change instead. I have been going here for about a year now, about 20+ visits. I have been to about 15 different nail places and this is by far the best. The manager, Kim, does amazing work. She has 20+ years experience and it is obvious. I constantly get compliments about how nice my nails look. They never lift even after a month! They are so friendly and their shop is very clean. They do everything here. I have had all different kinds of manicures, pedicures, and waxing. They even have mood polish that changes colors! I recommend this place to anyone who asks. When I have pointed out minor flaws they fix them with ease. I have never had any of them be rude to me however I am always respectful to them. Sometimes I have to bring my 3 year old son there while I get a fill and they are so understanding and chat with him. They usually have many clients which is obvious they are popular however I never wait very long to be helped because they are adequately staffed. I love this place! Read Less

My friend and I went in for pedicures today and our overall experience was good! I also got an acrylic fill and am very pleased with it.I brought my son (14 months) with us and they were great/understanding. They did ask that he sit on my friends lap during our pedicures so that a gentleman could start on my fill. The young lady that did my friends' interacted with my son a lot, made me a happy mama! I like that they kept us sitting together the majority of the time, it always sucks when your party gets split all over the salon but they didn't do that! They ran out of the color that I originally wanted but the same young lady that did my friends nails came up with a way better color, anyways! She finished off my fill/polish change and my nails came out perfect. The gentleman and the woman with the bob haircut also worked on my nails and they were pleasant but I wouldn't call them friendly. Overall, I'm pleased with the experience. The people here seemed nice but they did a horrible job on my nails. When I told them that I didn't like gelish polish becaue it was cheap and didn't last, they told me it was because the people who did my nails didn't know what they were doing. Clearly they don't know what they're doing either becaue my nails turned out horrible. I will say that my pedi was decent. My nails didn't even last a week! Wasted $60 on this place! This salon, in my opinion, is the absolute best in the Yuba-Sutter area.The shop is very clean and the staff is great. Very friendly, very chatty, and they take pride in their work - they aren't just all about cramming as many people in as possible. They ensure that you are happy with whatever service you may get. They offer all types of manicures and pedicures, gels, acrylics, glitter, french tips, UV, waxing, facials, etc. (you get the idea, right?) They have great hours - 9:30am-7pm, Mon-Sat, so you don't really have an excuse not to go in here.I initially came here on the recommendation of a coworker, and I'm very glad I did. Derrick applied a full set with glitter tips, and I had absolutely NO LIFTING for over three weeks (and I wash my hands over twenty times a day). The fills are flawless - no little lines. Their pedicures are fabulous and their pricing is very competitive for this area. They always sanitize everything between clients, and a lot of shops around town are pretty lax about it, but not these guys. Everything is always clean and tidy, and even the pedicure chairs are wiped down routinely, and I have never seen them wiped down in any other salon. Ever. And I have been to almost every single shop in Yuba City and Marysville. No joke.I've also noticed shop owners from other "upscale" salons in here getting their own nails done.
