I've tried many different nail salons around the valley but none compare to Five Star Nails. Tiffany is wonderfully professional. I'm incredibly nervous about technicians cutting me, which has happened in the past, however she is gentle and kind with me and everyone that comes in. I have rarely seen the place slow either! I don't wait to be helped more then a couple of minutes and am out within a reasonable time. I always leave satisfied and always get compliments for my acrylics and pedicures. Tiffany was my nail tech and she did great for what I was asking for. I was a bit skeptical on how she was going to make it work but she did an amazing job for free handing my designs. I had the best experience getting my nails done here by Tiffany. Not only did she take me 10 min past closing, she was fast and very sweet. Just had a gel manicure done yesterday by Tiffani the new manager/owner and my nails look great. She was gentle, clean and sweet personality. She took the time to help me with a color I wanted on a picture on my phone. She didn't make me feel rushed. Finding someone for a reasonable price and that can perform a job you can be happy with is hard to come by. I personally have been from nail salon to nail salon in search of someone like Tiffani. This place is in a little shopping center but there always seems to be parking. I get my eye brows done next door and decided to try this place out. This appears to be owned by a wife and husband ho are very sweet. The female had done my pedicure and it was absolutely amazing. I'm normally very picky with where I go due to bacterial and fungal infections but she cleaned everything before and during my pedicure. She took all of the extra little steps for my toes to look amazing and at the end you get a hot towel and a little massage. I will definitely be coming back here ! Read Less

David is rude and unprofessional at first I thought maybe he was just having a bad day.. But no excuse you can't have bad days when your filing someone's nails and hurting them at that especially when I'm paying you for a service. If I could give zero stars I would.I went in for a pedicure and the lady doing it was not really paying that close of attention to what she was doing. She cut my toe cuticle once I asked her to be more careful,she hurt me again I again said be more careful. This was towards the end so I just looked forward to leaving I paid and as I was walking out I noticed how badly it hurt to walk on the toe she cut.I went in to speak to the salon owner to bring this to his attention,his employees are not focusing on their clients and that is how accidents happen. I did not ask for a refund,I only wanted him to be aware of the situation. Instead of apologizing he stood up and said "I no give refund to white scammer bitch,is this your profession? I've been going here for years, and after today, I won't be coming back. The new girl they had do my pedicure had no idea what she was doing, and did a terrible job. Beyond that, the service has been going downhill; every service seems rushed, and their attention to detail is sorely lacking. Plus it's MISERABLE in the summer since, for some reason, they refuse to turn the a/c on and insist on leaving the front door propped open. I'll definitely be looking for a new regular nail salon. I came in for a fill as my first time there. The very next day one nail was already lifting and I had to super glue it down. By day two, a second nail was lifting. I've been coming here 2 yrs but never again. You are taken for granted as a customer after a while, even when giving as generous a tip as always. They stop paying careful attention. Spent $52 today on gel nails, pedicure + callus remover without tip yet. Terrible outcome. They hurried too much even when no one else is there. Just by myself. Two men worked on me. At the end, I was asked to use atm machine in store to pay them cash. I always paid with a card before and tipped in cash. Well, the atm was soooo slow it kept misconnecting. I stopped after 3rd try. The person doing my nails was SO incredibly rude. I asked for a full set. He complained that he had to take off my current set then really hurt me while doing it. I had my nails done by Vivian today. She did an amazing job. I had an appointment and I did not have to wait at all. My nail beds are small and I asked for black gel manicure. It was perfect. I was given a gift certificate as a Christmas gift but I will go back again. As a matter of a fact I scheduled a pedicure for next week. They are open every day too. Oh and parking was easy. I came here for the reviews, as I wanted to try a new nail place. I was walk in, and they were able to fit me in a noon on a saturday. They charge $17 dollars for a pedicure, which I think is standard . After I picked my color, I was moved to a chair where a nice gentleman gave me a decent pedicure. It was dingy and dirty on the inside though and had with no AC on a hot 90 degree day,The shady part happened when I asked for polka dot nails. The charge is $8 for all nails.The gentleman doing my nails painted my base color but at least was honest about not knowing how to do polka dots. The owner sent another lady, who sloppily did my big toe. I told her that wasn't what I wanted, and showed her my phone with a picture. She then took my phone and placed it next to my foot and tried on my other big toe. She proceeded to try again but the polka dots still didn't look professional.  I had thought that with my picture next to my nail she would have been able to paint my design. I mean isn't this why people come to nail salons? I asked for them to be fixed.I was then made to wait, while I talked about in another language in front of me. the owner came over and in broken English, angrily said I shouldn't have let her paint both my toes if I didn't like the first toe. That was very rude and unprofessional. It wasn't my fault that my nail tec couldn't do polka dots! ( the crap she did in my nails was not worth $8)I then asked him to take of all my polish and he gave me attitude. not what I would call a 5 star spa! A little rough on the outside but still have it a shot! It's about 90 degrees in the valley today & they're AC isn't functioning, yes they had fans running but I couldn't enjoy my pedicure with this crazy heat! I'm not sure what the name of the person who did my gel mani was, older guy. I know people just come on here to complain. I seriously was like "please do not trim my cuticles, they are extremely sensitive". That's obviously an exaggeration, but for some reason I always get really bad hangnails and it hurts to put my hands in my pockets, and my cuticles aren't even that bad. This man not only still did trim them, but he actually made me bleed on 3 fingers! They're sensitive but not usually THAT bad, it was like he did it on purpose. Not really the 5 star place I was looking for. I walked in the other day and they only had two customers... I asked for a gel manicure and to get one of my toenails fixed as the nail came off of it. The guy who helped me didn't really do much to give the 5 star experience.. He didn't even file my nails nor shaped them to all be the same size. When it came to getting a toe nail "fixed" he just pull out a white nail polish and painted over the little nail I had? Didn't even bother to put the clear polish before or after, he just straight painted over the little nail..As soon as two older ladies walked he rushed the job, which ended up in him messing up on my nails. To begin with the walk-ins didn't even have an appt. He had to take off the gel that was already done and do it over on at least 4 of my nails because of his sloppiness.then when it comes to paying, he tells me he's not going to charge me for the nail fix? This place was just awful. I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon, the place was empty so I requested a plain mani pedi but immediately was put in a spa chair. I didn't want to pay extra for the chair since I don't care for it but they told me they no longer have plain mani pedis there. The besides "it's only a few dollars more" according to the guy running the place. Two different people did my nails - a younger man who did a good job on my toes and an older lady who did my hands. The lady was awful, awful, awful! She cut me with the cuticle cutter several times even when I told her it hurt she continued to try to go at my cuticles with great vigor. I was looking for a Nail Salon that was open, affordable and fast!  I asked Siri and she gave me Five Star!I had a broken big toe toenail and I wasn't sure how I was going to deal with the summer without sandals!  I called and zipped into see John and he said he could fix it.  After John delicately sculpted the existing toenail it was looking great...and then David magically recreated the nail to look like I had never broke it playing raquetball!!!   Pedicure, Polish and VIOLA!My toes looked so good that my fingernails were jealous!  Vivian gave me a manicure...buffing my finger nails to shine making me feel like a glittering star!  AFFORDABLE, CLEAN, FAST, NICE AND THE MASSAGE CHAIRS ARE OH MAN!!!Thanks Five Star Nails!   See you in a few weeks!!! Sometimes they would say that the machine is not working to force you to pay cash. I called on a Thursday evening to see if they would be able to take me in as a walk-in customer. I just needed gel removal and a regular manicure. They said yes & I headed right over. First impression was alright, place seemed clean. I was sat right away and had someone come help me. She started the process of getting my gels off, and I started to feel uncomfortable. She had a bandaid on her thumb and it wasn't covered with a sanitary plastic cover to protect us both. Strike one. Once my gels had soaked enough to be taken off, she took out a pair of cuticle clippers from her pocket and tried to use them on me. I was so disgusting & I instantly pulled my hands away. She tried to use DIRTY UNSANITARY USED clippers on me! Who the hell knows where those have been. I seriously had to demand she get clean and sanitized utensils to use on me. That's worth all the strikes in the world right there and I should have just left. Once she finally got sanitary tools, the rest of the manicure was fine. They kept trying to upsell me the entire time. "Only $5 more for gel." Even after I said I don't want another round of gel. Also, I hate when I ask for the quick dry top coat (Seche Vite) and they try to convince me that their gooey generic shit is it. Only because "oh. This is my top coat. It's good. Quick dry!" No, it's not. Manicure barely lasted two days before chipping.Then came time to pay, I handed her my card and she instantly asks "oh, you have cash for me??????" She was way too concerned with getting a cash tip, especially after the way she treated me throughout. I said yes. After all that BS, I see I was charged an extra $1. I asked why, and they said it was because they charge $1 for a credit card. NEVER once did they ever mention that! So so rude. Liars, dirty people, unethical. Horrible experience.
