I'm actually from Los Angeles and was visiting for work, but knew I needed my nails and feet done ASAP. So I found this nail shop on yelp and almost everybody had something good to say. I went in around 5:20 and asked for a full set and a pedicure. Because they close at 7:00, I was told they couldn't accommodate the pedicure. I usually am very nice about hair and nail salons in general. This salon let me down in more ways than one. First off the nail artist cannot put rhinestones on my nails the correct way so I told her just to do it on the side she was already able to but she did not use glue. She cannot do it on the other side so I told her to just forget about it. The rhyme songs fell off and like a day I went in on Monday by Wednesday they were gone. Four of my nails are falling off or fell off. That is ridiculous. Usually a full set gel nails should last at least two weeks. I was going to call and complain and ask them to fix it when there was one nail but now that it's like four I'm just never going back there. I've been to many salons and I don't judge all the artists but the one that did it on me was horrible. The color was nice and they were sweet and polite but in the end it's about the nails and the technique and how long it's gonna last. Nails on cheap and I can't believe that they charged me five dollars extra to do the ballerina style nails. It's A style of nail that no salon has ever charged me for. Ive been coming here for about 4 years to get pedicure and eyebrow waxing but yesterday was by far the worst experience i have had there, my usual i go to kelly was busy she is the best one there....  CINDY fucked my feet up didnt even scrub my feet properly never asked me how the water was (it was cold).... Never asked if i wanted design....only massaged each leg for like 2minutes it was only 6:25 at the time i have no idea why she was in such rush there wernt even busy and they dont close till 7pm. She charged me $21 it was suppose to be $20 because like i said she never asked if i wanted design.....she took my nail polish i brought from home an put it back on their shelf !!!!! Never gave me no change after i had gave her $25..obviously she thought i gave her $4 dollar tip witch she did not deserve I paid because i was raised better.... They just lost my service for good !!!! Now today im going to Palladios located in the lowes shopping center for them to re due my feet the right way ... Lesson learned DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE !!! I've been coming here for pedicures for the last five years. I cannot state how much I love the salon and the friendly staff! They are always incredibly polite, amiable, and charming. The pedicures are inexpensive and high-quality with hot stone massages and they last a long time! Manicures are awesome here too! Just the regular ones seem to last me a week or more! I been coming here for while.. But each time im not happy its convieant place and i have friend that come here just to spent the time i end up coming here. Today my experience was horrible.. I WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN. ITS FINAL.. I picked a color for gel full set and ask to be matched for my pedicure.. Pedicure polish was different but i liked it. I had no compliant whatever.. Now going on to my fullset i showed the guy exactly what shape I wanted.. He goes on does hes thing starts to screw up i told him not so thin on the sides he continues oh no no its not thin. Blah.. To hard to expalin or argue i let it b.. When he applied the gel polish it was totally different match from my feet i told him to change it.. Aa. It was there closing time im being rushed now to pick different color to match my feet. I picked a lighter color of what my toes looked like a quick decision..They said if i liked my nails i said no.. And they went on talking bout how its my fault and blah blah.. So i left.. Unhappy.. I came back because i was extremly upset to the point i wana cry i talked to the owner and her husband. Lady was nice and said she would change it  but the guy continue to blame me and they would change my toe color but changing color takea more time on gel and continue to put me at fault i got ak frustrated i JUST LEFT..it was to fustrating to explain Im UNHAPPY with the service.. Wat do they care for they got the money. $60 wasted on shiit.I Normally dont write negative feedback.. First timer here and I have to say customer service was amazing! I had a few people come up to me and ask for my name (they even remembered in the end) I got seated quickly and proceeded to get my short coffin nails done by Cindy. She wasn't very talkative at all, so most of the time it was silent. She got my nails done fairly quick buuuuut I must say, please take your time when it comes to this shaped nails. They're very hard to do. Biggest pet peeve is when the side of my nails aren't painted and is missing acrylic to even out the nail.. Also Cindy matched up both sides of my nails making sure they're even but my pointing fingers are completely off.. Loved my nails after getting them done here! I got a full set for $22 (you can't beat that price)! It's very rare to find a good nail shop that'll do a full set for close to $20. I live in Elk Grove right now & drove to West Sac to check this place out. Peter was nice, he took his time and did coffin (shaped) nails for me. I will definitely be coming back! Maybe next time I'll throw in a pedicure! =) I would also stick to getting simple painted nails because based on previous reviews, hand painted designs don't always turn out the way they expect. My friend and I tried this place earlier this week based off the positive yelp reviews for a pedicure after a stressful week at work. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars and not 1 is that the lady who did my friends was an older lady who was extremely friendly, nice, and kept asking how she was feeling. My lady did not say more than 2 words to me...she kept pulling at my skin on the side of my toes, i have never been more uncomfortable or in more pain getting a pedicure. Now 3 days later I have a really bad infection in not 1 but both big toes! Even if this terrible experience had never happened I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is a really rough area with homeless people tapping on the glass and staring at you (this happened multiple times in my one trip). Also, like others have said they only accept cash and the lady literally stood over my shoulder and stared while I pulled out my cash and handed it to her. I would be more willing to pay double the price on a pedicure than to ever step foot in here again. Read Less

I called into this place kind of last minute an hour and half before I wanted to go in to get my nails done. They were very nice over the phone and able to take me at the time I needed. When I got there I had to wait a few minutes but it wasn't bad at all. My lady was a little crunched for time with me but that's partially my fault for being so last minute. Besides the fact that Kelly was a little rushed I have absolutely no complaints. She was very nice and did a great job. I liked how she paid attention to detail and I could tell she cares about her work and her clients.Further more everyone in there seemed like regulars. They know all their clients by name. Everyone I talked to who worked there were so nice. I really appreciated how they apologized for having me wait and totally acknowledged my presents. Just came in for my first time today. Initially came in for a full acrylic set. Figured I would get a pedi after depending on how my nails came out. I was immediately seen by Peter. He was great. I'm usually not big on conversing while I get my nails done, but he was really sweet and personable. He was also extremely careful and gentle. He asked 4 different times how it felt, to make sure I wasn't feeling any discomfort. Which I really appreciate seeing as how I've had my cuticles bleed on more than one occasion at other nail salons. $24 for a french acrylic set. So I was very pleased and decided to go ahead and get a pedicure. I didn't catch her name but she did a really good job and was very nice. Sat me down and pulled up my pant legs and started the massage chair for me. $23 for the pedicure. Included a great leg and foot massage including hot stones. And she really worked on my toes. Went in for gel nails. Asked to wait 15 minutes which was fine. Extremely welcoming but Pretty unhappy with my nails. She did them extremely fast.  Didnt touch my cuticles. No lotion. No cleaning the nails up. I needed my gel polish removed and she scrapped it off. This isn't my first go around With the gel nails. You don't scrape the polish off. She was vicious about it. What really sucked was she cut them extremely short. I said to cut them a little and now I have nub nails :( polish looks fine. Was CHEAP! 20 bucks only thank god. I wouldn't have paid more. Only been two days.. So let's see if the polish even sticks. Oh! And who files nails AFTER the polish is on? Ugh never again. Read Less

Okay ladies! Here's the place to get pampered!! I can't say enough good things about Solar Nails! Friendly staff, highly skilled, many wonderful services offered, open 7 days a week and the list goes on!! The spa pedicures are to die for (I've almost fallen asleep many times because they are so relaxing) and the artificial nail service is top-notch (for both full sets and fills in fiberglass or acrylic). They also offer regular pedicures, manicures, haircuts, perms, hair coloring, waxing and even airbrushing for your nails (with over a hundred different designs to choose from). It's best to make an appointment but they are very good at accommodating drop-ins without you having to wait but more then 10 to 15 minutes. The best thing about this place is the friendly staff!
