I came to SnS Salon because I had seen pictures of Edith's work on Social Media, and was so glad she is here in West Sacramento! I explained what I wanted (Balayage Highlights and Gray Hairs Gone!). I've been meaning to give a review for a few weeks. I moved to W.Sac 2 years ago and I am so happy I finally found a nail place I can give my business to! First of all, they were so friendly when I walked in(I called a few minutes before, but showed up early) and accommodated me quickly. My nail tech was so gracious and thorough in the cleaning of my cuticles(which I am pretty picky about). His massage(I didn't get his name)was with just enough pressure and lengthy enough! My polish lasted so long! It's been a month and still looks good but it's time to go back!!!Also, the salon is very clean, someone was busy wiping down the pedi chairs and the arm rests too...I was impressed. I'm a stylist so I was able to look around and check things out. The ladies doing hair looked like they knew what they were doing and paid close attention to their clients.I am definitely going to give SnS my business! This was my first time here and I dropped in for a last minute trim before my vacation since I didn't have time to see my regular person. Edith took me immediately, listened to what I wanted, and gave me exactly what I asked for. She went beyond the cut and dry and added curls to give me an idea of what it would look like. Changing my previous 4 star review from my first visit to reflect the past 3 experiences. We got in so quick from just a walk in. Each time. I've had the same nail artist/tech for all of my visits and he's been equally amazing. I'll probably just ask for him always because that's how I roll. He's just gonna be my guy. I think his name is "Vu". Anyway, I've never liked the gap left when some polishes pull away from the critical but I didn't know I could ask to have my gel po...lished closer to my cuticle!! So I've asked now the last two times and he's done it. And I hello, I've been skipping salon mani's for so long on that reason alone. Well not anymore!! Vu is FAST, his work is flawless, and by now he knows just how I like it! Today I also took my daughter in with me to have her first gel mani and she loved it. She's usually more of a pedi girl because she hates waiting for polish to dry on her fingers but the gel eliminates the waiting for her. In need of a dire hair cut and I came across this place. The outside appeal was above your average salon. The inside was clean and eloquent. I didn't have an appointment so I waited about 10 min, which is absolutely fair. My cut was sharp and very much what I asked for. Friendly conversation during the cut is always a bonus. I got gel for both and she got polish. At other salons, they rush my daughter through and do a quick polish and she's usually bored waiting for me to be done .. Not here!! The nail techs took their time and cut her nails, gave her a massage, and even a hot towel treatment. I was so impressed.... Not only were they nice but they are sooooo clean! Being a hairstylist I'm always watching to make sure salons I give my business to are clean and up to state board standards. SnS salon is above that! From the clean crisp interior to the disinfected tools they open out of the sterile wrapping right in front of you..I am so glad I gave this place a try! The new owner really turned this spot around. I used to come here when it was Southport Beauty (the nail shop just to the left of Nugget) and I find the ambiance much improved now that it is SnS. The interior is cute and boutique-like, they play enjoyable music, and Kim gives the best eyebrow waxes I can remember having. If you're looking for great quality medi-pedi and phenomenal customer service then this nail salon is the place to go. I'm from San Jose, and I happen to be in West Sacramento last Saturday for a family celebration. I've been to many nail salons and it's very typical to get greeted as "pick color", however with this salon, the manager genuinely and nicely greeted me.  To keep it concise and clear the following is my review breakdown: Ambiance: The atmosphere was lightly peaceful as they played some relaxing low-key music from their sound bar.  The dark leather furniture and aqua colored copper ceiling décor have an antique and contemporary twist to the lighting that naturally complements the entire salon.  It's a very clean and organized place. What caught my attention was how the nail polish was color coordinated by brands. Awesome. Hospitality: As I was waiting to be seated to get my medi/pedi, the manager offered me some chocolates and mimosa.  That was a delight to have.  They had no problem asking me if I wanted seconds.  Concept: Very modern and unique. This is the first salon that I've seen that utilizes a separate pedicure sink bowls with no jets. I like this because it's a lot more sanitize this way and who uses the massage chairs anyway??? In addition, the pedi-care station was set on a platform to provide a cloud feeling experience. Technology: I like that they use Square payment service, which allows you to use your smartphones to make payment and not just CASH.  You can use your credit or debit card as well. Cost:  Affordable. It wasn't pricey at all given the great customer service they provided. Service: It seems that they offer more than nail service. They provide hair, massage, and waxing services as well.  The workers were all friendly and professional. I like that they all had uniforms. The salon next door luxury nails (left a reviews on theirs) horrific experience that I immediately went here to see if they could fix it. And they went above and beyond. They fixed everything that "Mi" in the other salon did. They look gorgeous now. I will be going to them from now on. I was new to the area and in need of a new salon to go to since my last one changed owners/employees, and I found it here. Highly recommended for anyone. They do everything.
