I got the all butter up spa mani pedi for $90. The ladies working on my nails were so nice and sweet. But I wouldn't go back. My manicure is only 2 days old and looks horrible. My pedicure still looks good. The lady Kelly who worked on my manicure said nail-polish only lasts 3 days. This place is very expensive! Probably one of the most expensive nail salon I've been to in LA. Came here bc of a friend referral and wished I didn't listen. They charge you like $10 bucks to remove your gel polish. They also charged me extra bc I happened to pick a polish that was made only in Japan or something like that, extra $5 bucks. There's 3 choices but for a regular gel mani n pedi it's $78 plus all the fees excluding tips. I chose the 2nd choice which was 10 bucks more than the regular, bad choice as my skin had a rash from the scrub so if you have sensitive skin don't bother.Salon ambience was decent but the arrangements of seatings were a bit claustrophobic, my nail techs were very friendly, I really liked Serena, she did my pedi but I wished she did both my mani and pedi. I highly recommend her. But honestly for the price it's not worth it, so I'm giving this place a 3 stars just because I felt robbed. Read Less

Lack of care and awareness how to cut nails and cuticles, as it looks horrible the following day. Broken skin and cuticles. Pedicure is disaster, even after callus treatment skin feels rough. I've had the habit of never returning twice to a nail salon; mainly because none of the places have ever amazed me. Karen, the sweetest nail technician, changed all of that for me. She greeted me with the biggest smile and kept conversing with me throughout the process. In the past, I have always felt rushed when doing my nails because I don't feel like many nail technicians spend too much time on one person. Karen not only took her time to make sure each nail was perfect, she did it with a very positive attitude and made sure I was relaxed the entire time. When I walked in my nails were disgustingly misshapen. I used to be a nail biter so my nails were growing at different rates but she seriously made them look their best. I loved that she didn't make me feel bad or give me a sour face if I asked her for to correct something on my nails. She happily fulfilled my requests. The best part is, my fiancé who is extremely picky about how my nails are done LOVED my nails and that sealed the deal for me!Definitely going to be Karen's regular now! Read Less

I've had my acrylic / gel covered nails for 3 weeks now. They have not chipped, nor have they separated from my natural nail. The last 3 sets I've had from other places I was trying out, they've separated or broken. They did a really nice job, but I didn't like the price tag ($60) for medium/short coffin shaped nails. I would come back if I can't find something more affordable. However, I could've gone to another place, gotten a badass design, and a high quality set for the same price. I love this salon. It's my neighborhood salon and it is such a treat to walk out my door and over to this salon for the best mani pedis I've ever received. I usually go for the gel manicure and regular pedicure. I like to keep my nails short, so I cannot speak to the tips or nails. I can say that I've never left disappointed. I have had the good luck of seeing the same two nail techs, each visit, and I can't praise them enough. Jenny does my fingernails and Serena does my toes. Jenny spends as much time as it takes to achieve the perfectly shaped nail - and she is very fastidious about my cuticles. I am admittedly terrible on my nails and I don't do a good job with maintenance. Basically, Jenny and Serena have to start from scratch each time I come in, but they don't judge and they are very happy to send me back out into the world, looking my best. Last time I was there, Jenny spent over an hour with me simply because she is a stickler for perfection and my cuticles were a mess. I just love the way my hands look when I walk out of Butter. Today, when I left, I realized Jenny took years of sun damage and age off my hands. Serena is just as detail oriented and proud of her craft. My toes are ugly and abused. You can see by the photos that I was not blessed with beautiful feet, but Serena's pedicures are a work of magic. Today, I walked in with half a toenail on my right big toe ( I broke it while running). Serena knew I would be going to a high profile event in a few days, so she grabbed her toolkit, cleaned out the fragments of broken nail, and fashioned a brand new toenail with acrylic - by hand! See the photo (the big toe on your left) . It is perfection!!! Serena always helps me choose my toenail polish because I get blinded by the outrageous selection of colors. She never chooses a dud. I just leave it to Serena, now, and I leave more than satisfied.This is by far the best nail salon. Jenny and Serena are my power duo. I would never think of attending an event without seeing Jenny and Serena first. The prices are really good for the quality of the mani pedis. I am really hard on my nails and my gel manicure has lasted as long as 2 1/2 months ( it just looks more like a french manicure, after a few weeks)! the non-gel pedicure lasts just as long. There are so many different colors to choose from in gel and in regular - and they have less toxic polishes (if that's what you are looking for) like Zoya. I've made a living photographing lookbooks for nail polsich companies, so I know what a great manicure/ pedicure looks like. After having an awhile experience with SNS full set at another salon, I found myself, head hung and with hideous nails to get my nails fixed. Kevin was patient and meticulous. I can't rant and rave enough about this place. I have tried multiple nail spots since moving here in July and Butter Nails is by far the best. There is always parking wish is a huge bonus. They can get you in and out pretty quick. If you want a mani and pedi they will have two ladies working on you. Talk about pampering! Yen is my girl!! She kills it on the gel nail sets. Came here in the middle of the day on a Wednesday during my day off. There was plenty of parking and I was assisted right away. My pedicurist Winnie was very precise and gentle with my feet, which I appreciated. Kim, my manicurist, was speeding a little bit thru my gel manicure, so there are some slight imperfections. I usually go to a nail salon closer near me in the valley (see other review for my nail salon) but I needed to get my nails done quick before a shoot. I yelp'd a nail salon and randomly found this place. The inside was smaller but it was very intimate and professional. I was nervous because I had to leave right away and I knew I hadn't booked an appointment prior to. To my liking I was taken in right away even though it was close to closing time.I got a great manicure and I loved how my nails turned out. It's a great place to go to if you are in the area. I've been to Butter several times now. I used to enjoyed coming here when I don't want to drive out to my normal place and/or they can't fit me in. Butter has the best ambiance of any nail salon I've ever been to - good ventilation, good music, comfortable seating, friendly helpful staff, etc. However, I don't think I'll be coming back anymore. regardless of Butter's strengths. Paying a premium for sub-par service is getting old, and they apparently just raised their prices.Butter's nail techs seem to be incapable of doing basic nail designs. I've tried to get gel designs ranging from chrome to glitter to ombre nails here, and every time something has gone wrong. (Chipping within days, inadequate topcoat, bubbles, unevenness, etc.). If you complain, they'll redo them for you. But at this point, I am out of time and sick of needing every manicure to be fixed. I'm sharing pictures of a manicure I got less than an hour ago - even after repeatedly asking the nail tech to fix it, the ombre is uneven, the color isn't even opaque at the tip like I requested, it's full of bubbles and ragged edges, etc. I'm furious that I just spent over $50 for such a sloppy manicure. I've been going to Butter about once a month for the last 3 years. It's always a good experience! Plenty of colors to choose from, it's clean and the staff does a wonderful job! I come here just only for Kasey, she is the best nail lady I ever gone to! She is such a pleasant, beautiful person (inside and out) and super professional, yet warm and caring. Went in this morning for a full set gel and spa pedi. 10 am appointmentReceptionist was a Caucasian young lady who wasn't rude, just ya know doing her job. Knew who I was and got me situated pretty swiftly. Hands and feet were done at the same time and very fast. In and out in a hour. I would say my my nails were a 8/10Pedicure perfect no complaints Yes no matter where you go the ladies will be speaking in their native tongue right in front of you and yeah you always assume they are speaking poorly about you which is probably the case some of the time. ‍ not my business. This place recently opened near my home and I decided to give it a try. I made an appointment for waxing and a pedicure. The place is clean and quite comfortable. My wax studio experience was painless and thorough. My pedicure was phenomenal. While having it done, I admired my nail technicians manicure. She said she could do the same design for me. Sadly their acrylic specialist wasn't there so I was forced to go to my old place for a fill. Afterwards, I went straight back to Butter for the nail design.
