Even if you call for appointment, you always have to wait around for at least an extra half hour. My nail set always falls off even after one week.. numerous times.. waste of time & $$. This never happens if I go anywhere else. I wont forget the stare downs from some of them as if they think they are better somehow.. also although i dont understand their language its pretty obvious they gossip and laugh at their clients. Let's see, where do I start?It all began when I walked through the door...I asked for a Mani and pedi, I said I only want gel on my manicure. They told me to sit down in the pedicure area so they can start.1- there is no protective bag on the pedicure tub.She starts on my pedicure and the other two ladies are busy, I figured when the lady that's busy doing nails is finished she will walk over to me and start my manicure.2-even when she finished her client, she never came over to start on my manicure. I guess they don't value customers time, she chilled and waited a for my pedicure to be over then start on my nails.When I initially sat down for my pedicure, I asked her for a really hot water. Once the water is almost full and I still feel it cold I dared to ask again for a really hot water, so she looked at me dead in the eye and told me "YOU HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE END FOR WATER TO Get HOT!"She turned off the water and I just sat back waiting to see if she was going to ask if the water was hot enough, obviously the water was barely lukewarm, I guessed she forgot. After 10 minutes when she is already done scraping into my nail to take off next to NO cuticle, she puts my feet back inside the water and asks "Hot Enough Right?" Obviously I say "No" she then rolled her eyes and said something in another language to her friend and turned on the hot water again for two seconds then shut it back off.3-Needless to say I never got the hot water I asked for.She then proceeds to point at 2 posters behind her one was a deluxe pedicure another one was a more expensive one, and tells me do you want the $20 one or do you want the $30 one. I told her I don't want neither I want the The cheapest. She looks at me and tells me "$20 one cheapest", I say "NO! I don't want the hot towels and I don't want to salt Scrub! I only want the basic cheapest one thank you". She said "OK". She then proceeds to put the salt thing on my feet! so I jumped up and told her I don't want the salt rub! I want the basic pedi, NO EXTRAS! and she said "it's OK, don't worry"! since she was literally scraping the edges off of an empty tin to put it on my legs then washed it off, I figured she didn't wanted to go to waste I was just doing it as a courtesy. (notice how I said she put it on my feet and wash it off, she never scrubbed my legs  or rub my legs with the salt scrub) 4- obviously before paying she charged me the $20 for the scrub and Deluxe pedicure I repeatedly told her I did not want. Instead of the $15 regular pedicure that I was there for. She asked me what color I want, I chose a peach glitter for my nail polish.  Long story short she comes back with something totally different, and when she's putting it on my toes I tell her that's not the color and she says that's only thing they have, but it's ok it's almost same thing.5-I ended up with a nasty copper on my toesfinally once that nightmare was over I go sit down with the lady that's going to do my nails, she looks like she runs the place so I have high expectations. I called beforehand and made an appt for 4pm. I arrived  3:55pm, to make sure my spot would not be taken. I came in and said I was here for my gel manicure appointment and then one of the manicurists and clients began to chide and make fun of me for saying I had an apt. Ummm I don't get what was so funny. I would've started a fight, but the customer clientele is predominantly ghetto tattoed cholas. What is the point of setting appointments then? And if you are running behind schedule you should let your clients know and not be bitches and condescending about it. Very rude customer service and low class clientele, honestly. I would advise you to go elsewhere for a $24 gel manicure, save yourself the trashy environment and attitude. Read Less

They don't do a good job with their pedicures. They didn't clean under my nail like most salons do. And I got the Deluxe pedicure too, not the basic one. Actually I've never had a pedicure where they didn't do that. Isn't that part of why you want a mani/pedi? Also they don't take care of your nails really well. My nails are jagged/gritty on the surface because they didn't bother to buff it out before applying be regular nail polish. There are scratches on the surface of my nail. My experience was very bad ...I had my manicure done that was great...but with my pedicure OMG it was painful she was talking and she was scrubbing my toesskin....im in so much pain...I am sorry but this place is terrible...I can't even where tennis shoes because it hurts...terrible...very disappointed and in pain.. This isn't the shop I normally go to but I came here for convenience. Currently getting my nails done and at first when I walk in they say they can do both mani and pedi. As soon as they start scrubbing my feet and see I have acrylics she tells me they don't have time to do my hands wtf kind of crap is that? They don't close for another hour. I absolutely love their pedicures.  'Tall Tina' is the only one I let do my pedis.  The pedicure offers a mix of a sugar scrub on your legs followed by a clay mask and hot towels.  So very relaxing.  For a full set and fill, you will want Sandy or Ruby.  Both are incredibly good. Read Less

Absolutely enjoy their work. Been coming to Sandy for years now. As I tend to adventure off and try new  nail salons, I always end up with regret and call Sandy who whips my nails back to life. Feeling extra girly and feminine when I leave here.  The prices I must say are quite reasonable and competitive. This small nail salon is by far the best in the Rowland heights/wc area. As most nail salons dilute the Polishes beyond belief, solar nails takes care of thier polishes and replaces as soon as needed. Awesome nails spa. Specially Sandy takes good care of me all the time. Very affordable and they did a very good job. From nails to waxing and even extended eye lashes. Decided to try this place on Sunday to get a full set. I didn't wait long since there was only 1 other customer getting her nails done. The girl I got sits in the back directly across from the last spa chair, but I don't know her name. She asked me what I wanted & I told her a pink & white set. Then she said something about me wanting pink & white to another girl in another language (which is very rude when you have customers). I asked her what was wrong with me wanting pink & white and she told me that it was weird that I would want pink & white. (Strike #1)I usually get my nails short since I do a lot of typing for work. She didn't want to cut my nails shorter because "it won't look good with the pink & white". I had to have her cut them like 4 times since each time she only took a tiny little sliver off (my nails are still too long but I got tired of having to ask). - strike #2She did an okay job on my nails; a few of the white tips are crooked, & almost all of them have weird edges from where she didn't scrape the excess white to form the arch off correctly. My nails are also very gritty - which, in thinking about it now, probably explains why she pushed so hard for me to get the gel top coat. When I came back from washing my hands she was already set up to put the gel on top. I asked her if it was extra and she said it was the same price ($35) I asked her why my nails were $35 when the pricing menu (both hanging on the wall + the to go versions) say a pink & white full set is $30. She said "What? Let me see" so I showed her the to go menu & she said "oh I didn't know." Then she said something to the other girl in their language, then told me that she said it was ok. I asked her what was ok & she told me that my nails were $30. Then she continued trying to put the gel on my nails & I pulled my hands away & asked if it was extra & she said it was only $5 more but that it would look better with my pink & white. I told her (again!) I didn't want the gel if it was extra since I have it at home. She finally understood & put the regular top coat on my nails & sent me to the dryer. (strike #3 - I don't like pushy nail techs, I'm paying for a service please just do what I ask & don't try to give me something I don't want)She also shredded my cuticles with the drill & got a lot of excess powder around my nails that I'm still trying to get off.  I've been getting my nails done for A LOT of years so I know what quality is. Salons either have quality products with crappy technicians or vice versa. It's hard to find a happy medium :( I guess I will just have to keep searching. All in all, I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone for full sets. I have not tried anything else there, although when I was there another customer came in for eyebrow waxing & they looked really good when she was done (different tech tho). Read Less

i wouldnt even give this place 1 star but no stars isnt a choice. I came into this place 2 weeks ago to get a new set and i just havent had the time to put my review up but DO NOT COME HERE. first of all, the lady had filed my nails unevenly and my left hands nails were noticably shorter which i told her uh look at my nails this hand is way longer can you fix this? she said yeah sure sure. what she ended up doing was adding EXTRA POWDER to the nail making it longer which i thought okay thats a little better she just needs to thin it out. and so i told her to.. yeah yeah sure sure. it looked thinner so i was okay with it. 1 week later im examining my nails and they are starting to grow out and i start to see that the powder was still EXTREMELY THICK. needless to say i was not happy about this. the nail is so thick that its a good 4 mm THICK. its disgusting and bulky but the lady had filed the ends so thin i couldnt tell until now. ive just spent the last hour and a half cutting and filing this HORRIBLE set off of my nails. do NOT come here if you want a quality full set done. just go up the street to exotic nails they do good work and have nice designs too.
