I have been coming here since I started school last year and I can't believe I hadn't left a review. Thai does my full set gel nails and I am always incredibly happy. He always exceeds my expectations and I can tell he really takes pride in his work.  I haven't gotten a pedicure here yet but I'm sure they do a fabulous job as well. Came home to take care of my sick dad but he made a quick recovery and ditched me to hang out with his friends! translation - ME TIME! I thought getting my nails done would be a great way to spend my precious 'me time' and headed to Art Nail, a local joint near my home. I was a walk in at around 11 a.m. on a Saturday. He was already in the middle of two pedicures but told me he could help me. I was given colors to choose from and soon a nail soak. I didn't catch his name, but he was very friendly and helpful. I chose a gel manicure, which was $25. This is very reasonable for gel nails. I chose white gel nails as i always have a hard time painting my own nails in white. I feel he could have put a third coat of white on it for a more uniform white look but it did look pretty good. It's been about 1.5 weeks now and the nails are going strong. there are some mild chips but overall they're fairing well. I can't believe I've lived in Walnut for so many years and haven't gotten my nails done here. Well, I don't normally get my nails done anyways BUT this experience was so great that I am considering treating myself to this guilty pleasure a little more often. I came in at around 1 pm and was seated rather quickly. There were already two customers inside. The technician that helped me, Thai, was very considerate about what I wanted. As soon as he got started he was very patient and careful, even when more customers started to come in he paid attention to my nails instead of rushing. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he asked consistently if I approved of what he did and I appreciate that. He even recommended nail designs that would look good with the colors I chose. My nails turned out BEAUTIFULLY and I can't stop admiring them! Some of the edges aren't completely painted, but I do not mind because it's barely noticeable. They do an amazing job and are super friendly. My friend and I came to get our nails done and they did a great job! They take their time in doing each nail, and are carefully with all the layers and drying. I also got a pedicure done, and they even take care of the dead skin on the heels of my feet! I love everyone here. I think I've had my nails done by every single person in there at one point in time. You can always ask them to make it how you like it and they are super friendly. They are talented and know what they're doing. Definitely a great place! Let the pictures do the talking. I recommend Thai for a fast and high quality acrylic job. I've been going to red persimmon for years... until today. Today I went in and Khai helped me fix my 2 broken nails. He also taught me to look at the entire acrylic: the fake nail has to cover your nail bed entirely, otherwise it'd be prone to breaking... and that's exactly why I went in today. I ended up wanting a polish change as well and that's where we noticed the sloppy job from my other salon... khai fixes all of them and was very patient with my requests of narrowing and shaping. At the end, he even put vitamin E oils on my cuticles and a drip dry thing to make it dry faster!! I'm very happy with the service and the end result. Read Less

The first time I came here Kimmy did a great job on my nails, the 2nd time I came around the dooshbag who probably owns the place completely lacks customer service. I wanted to leave before getting any service started and during. Someone came in to complain about her nails lifting and he was going back and forth arguing with her. That's when I knew I should've left since the begining. While he was doing my nails he complained about my short nails, he was rough and he cut me. When it was time to pay, I payed w my card he asked if I had cash for tip? I said NO TIP TODAY lol he was so mad, I said bye he just said "ok". It's NOT my obligation to tip you!! This place sucks I went in for a full set and it was beautiful but 3 days later they started lifting the nails lasted a week 5 nails broke off and the rest were lifting so bad I went in and let them know what had happened and he fixed them and he pulled the remaining nails off my fingers without soaking first they hurt so bad and when I would say owe he said ohhh we have. I time he then re did a set and again same issue they started lifting so bad. This place needs to get better products or a better nail tech this is so disappointing. Walked in on Thursday around 3pm with my mom to get a gel manicure ($25). It was pretty empty surprisingly, only 2 other customers so they were ready to take us in immediately. I'm super indecisive so it took me forever to choose a color (I went with a pretty light baby blue color)They were very patient with me! My nail salonist was very careful with my nails and made sure to shape them and clean them very well. She added on 3 layers of color and 3 layers of top coat for extra protection without me having to even ask. There are a couple bumpy spots on some of my nails but I'm not sure if that's from my carelessness, still overall a job well done! After 4 days they still look as good as new. Hoping they'll last at least 3 weeks and will be re-visiting again soon. Read Less

First time here and it's really a beautiful place. The service is very friendly and sweet. The shop is clean and organized. They really do pay attention to detail with your nails. Definitely deserves 5 stars if not more! Yesterday was my first time here and I was treated with so much respect it was greatly appreciated! As soon as I came in I didn't even wait a second someone asked me what I needed asked me to pick a color and bam sat me down, everyone in the salon sat and talked to me not just the woman doing my nails but everyone I felt so welcomed, the woman doing my nails did such an amazing job and she was so kind to even let me charge my phone at her station lol. But what really sealed the deal was after my nails were done it already hit closing time so I felt bed and went to leave so I don't keep them long, they insisted and told me to stay till my nails dried and sat and chatted with me! I came here with my friend to get our nails done for our birthday, and we decided to each get a full set! The service was amazing, and started right when we walked in. We called earlier with an appointment and they greeted us warmly. The lady who did my nails was sooo nice and told the funniest of stories omg. I forgot her name but she was just great. She did an amazing job with my nails, even when I actually messed them up when they were drying under the uv lamp thingy LOL...it was actually my first time getting acrylics and it felt weird and new so I guess my fresh polish touched the inside of the uv lamp. She was super super nice about it though and fixed it and I felt so bad LOL..I offered her a huge tip to make up for it My nails costed $41 in total, $35 for the sparkly polish and acrylics and an extra $5 for my request to make the nails ombré! Take note that if you use card there's a $1 fee. I definitely recommend this place as the base price is $30 for a full set. This was of October of 2016 so I don't know if the base price changed, but it was $30 when my friend and I came last year.Would definitely come again! Read Less
