This place has really bad customer's service. I had gel nail polish done on my natural nails and in less than 2 weeks the polish began to chip. I could not make it back that week so I went the next weekend which makes it 3 weeks and I explained to the lady at the front whom i called before coming, that the polish began to chip early (at this point it is half way on my nail) she said I waited too long to get back and unprofessionally began to speak to her colleagues in their language. Of course I knew they were talking about me (how rude). She left me standing in front and walked away. She later came back with her other colleague to tell me "if I don't like their service, I could go elsewhere" like she had to tell me, I was on my way out the door. At this point I called Awesome nails less than 0.2 miles and drove there to get my nails done PROFESSIONALLY and they were cheaper and nicer. Read Less

Just got my nails done today, and it was the worst experience I have ever had. I did the dip polish, and the Lan (who was my nail lady), did such a poor job. She did not take her time, and it was sloppy. As seen in the pictures below. My skin stuck to my nail all around the nail, and I told her to fix it but she said she was okay, as she was rushing to finish me. Will not be back, not worth the $45. Read Less

Worst experience and technician at any nail salon ever. The Trchnician was rough on feet and nails and the nails aren’t even at all. I specifically went in for a relaxing foot massage and I got the most uncomfortable technician ever. She acted like she didn’t even care about how I felt. At the end she charged me $42.40. I don’t know she came to this amount and was essentially charge $2.40 more than she should have. She could not explain the charges as she spoke little English. Worst Experience Ever. Iasked for a mani and pedi with shellac on toes and dip my nails. They never asked which pedi I wanted (deluxe, supreme etc) just got started, was never offered anything to drink but others were, she cut my skin w the clippers on a right toe, the water was scalding, was never asked how anything felt or was, had calluses after the 2 seconds of scrubbing/buffing that was done, my calf was slapped or my ankle picked up and dropped in effort to communicate... HER needs for me to perform, at one point self elevated and held out my straight leg so she could get to my heel......that was just my pedi. My 'mani' never was.....he came to my pedi chair, I never soaked my cuticles or filed my nails just went directly into dipping color. The filing was done after the dip was done and my cuticles were ground off w the dremmel tool vs the cuticle cutters after being softened, my color is inconsistent in spots/not clean lines and even bumpy, & I have adhesive/super glue type excess all over my hands. I spent $90 of hard earned money for tears, disappointment, anger, and a headache that escalated to a migraine by the end. I went there on Sat 8/19. My nails look terrible. The coats are uneven, messy looking and some have bubbles. I have hangnails on most of my fingers now when I had none when I went in. Came here on a whim wanting to try a local salon. I always struggle with trying new places as I'm usually disappointed when it comes to the end result. I've been going to the same nail place in Dublin even after I moved to the Peninsula and Walnut Creek. So many other places I've tried don't do quality work or pay attention to detail.I called around 10:15am asking if I can just come in as a walk-in since I live close by. The lady who answered the phone was really nice and said that they could accommodate me when I come in. I walked in and thankfully there were only 3 other ladies being serviced. They asked me to pick a color (I was going from gel to regular nail polish) and by the time I was done choosing a chair was ready for me. I waited a few minutes and someone came to remove my gel pedicure. I didn't get left for a long time and forgotten about. A man came over to continue the removal and do my pedicure for me. I wish I had gotten his name as my pedicure was great! He did an excellent job and didn't rush. Prices were exactly as stated. No random price gouging or upcharges. My go-to salon in Dublin was annoying because prices would always fluctuate depending on who rung you up even though I've been going there for years.I'm hoping this becomes my new go-to salon as it's close to home and their prices are great! I have been going to Polished Nails since Chi opened the salon in September 2014. The staff is friendly and I always receive great service. I switched to the Dipping Powder French manicure about 3 months ago and I love it. I receive lots of compliments from strangers as well as my family and friends. Plus, my manicure lasts at least a week longer than my regular manicure did. This is a GREAT place to relax with the beverage of your choice and enjoy being pampered! Read Less

This is a clean inviting space. The team working was helpful, friendly and lovely to chat with. They offer all nail and waxing services. They were able to accommodate a great of four on short notice. I have been getting acrylic nails for several years. I had a full set put on and not even 24 hours later the pinky bent right off. I got it fixed the next day free of charge and was happy. However, 3 days later (day 5) 3 other nails popped off. I have never had a quality issue like this before EVER at another nail salon. I will not be a returning customer. Read Less

I actually give 5 stars for friendliness because the ladies were super nice - nicer than anywhere else I have been. However I give zero stars for quality. My daughter got regular polish Friday night and by Saturday afternoon it had chipped on three nails. I had a schlack French manicure and there is no polish and missing chunks of polish on the sides of my nails on the white parts. Also, the skin on my fingertip pads underneath my nails where a mess - a ton of the clear schlack left on my skin. Really disappointed in the quality. Read Less

I have come into Platinum Nails several times due to it being located below where my daughters take ballet. I always really want to be wowed, but unfortunately that has yet to happen. No matter the service, manicures or pedicures, they take an excruciatingly long time. A simple manicure/pedicure has easily run me almost 2 hours, and a manicure alone 50 minutes. If that meant that I got a super-extended, amazing massage or that the nail technicians were being extraordinarily thorough, I'd be thrilled, but it is just that they seem like they don't have much experience, working painfully slowly. The four or five different techs that I have had all seemed like they really don't want to be there. As a client, I have always felt like I'm reduced to the body part or service that I'm coming in for -- despite my attempts, the techs haven't engaged in any conversation, haven't made eye contact, etc. The whole transaction and experience feels so cold. The work itself is adequate, though...acceptable enough to continue to drop in once in awhile while my daughters are in their classes. Read Less

when you go you can relax and feel like a girl getting spoiled. Jack does a great job on nails, he pays close attention to details along with remembering your preference from before. the pedicures are a great way to relax. they use these warm rocks towards the end of the massage that are a dream. we took a group of women and young girls and they spoiled us all. the cost is a little more but you know when your done it was worth every penney.
