LOVE this place! Tried it out on a recommendation and fell in my stylist. Oh my goodness, I have been looking high and low for a new hair stylist and I live in fear of a bad, expensive hair cut. Tera gave me one of the best cuts I have ever had! I have received so many compliments since I came to see her two weeks ago and everyone is asking what I did differently! She also was able to answer all of my beauty questions and we came up with a strategy for growing my hair out; something that I've been trying to do for 3 years! Kelli is excellent with sugaring! I've been to a few local salons and she is the best, hands down. Friendly, professional, and great technique (very little pain!). The only reason that I took one star away is because of general customer service. There is no true receptionist so I'm typically ignored for a while after I walk in. This review is for Robin Lantin.   Here's my experience:I was unconscious in ICU for weeks, during that time the nurses had washed my hair in a shampoo cap.  I have super curly nappy hair, they couldn't comb it out so they put it up in a bun.  Fast Forward to being conscious, my hair was a huge rats nest.   My daughter tried to brush it out to no avail, my hair was falling out in clumps, it was matted, it was as wrecked as my body.  It was so bad I really thought the only solution was to shave my head or go with a buzz cut.    Once I was finally out of the hospital, I called beauty lounge and talked to the owner.  I was embarrassed, aside from it being a nasty mess, it STUNK.  (I only had use of one arm, so I couldn't wash it on my own) It was hard to tell someone how bad it was, let alone walk in and let anyone see me & my scary hair.   He got me right in and put me with Robin.   He was awesome!  He patiently & gently combed out every tangle, gave me an awesome cut that hid how much hair I had lost, and got my hair fixed up making me feel better than I had felt in months.   LOVE this place Read Less

I recently went to The Beauty Lounge for a Brazilian wax. After talking to Kelli she educated me about sugaring. Sugaring is hair removal but much better for your skin and all natural. After the sugaring my skin looked amazing! Waxing is great and gets all the hair off but sugaring is exfoliating and doesn't hurt as much! It was a great experience to try something new and I will be continuing in sugaring instead of waxing in the future. Kelli knows everything there is to know about the sugar process and very professional, you can definitely tell that she loves her job and it shows by what a great job she does at it! For your first sugar it is the same price as a regular was, after that sugar is only 3-5$ more! I recommend trying out the body sugaring if you have never have before you will not regret it! I was referred to Kelli for a sugaring Brazilian by a good friend of mine, who used to see her back when she worked in the LA area. After some research we found out Kelli had moved up to the bay area, so I was excited to be able to see her and check out her services.I made my appointment with Kelli, and when I met her she was the sweetest person ever, she was very attentive and paid close attention to detail. She answered all my questions I had and made me feel very comfortable with her. I did the "Pretty and Pampered" which was a Brazilian wax with a mask afterwards as well as a hand or foot massage. And let me tell you IT'S THE BEST!! Sugaring is far less painful than regular waxing is, and my skin is never red or irritated afterwards. My hair has grown back alot thinner and some hairs don't grow back at all anymore. I have been coming to Kelli for about a year now for my Brazilian waxes and underarms. I have been sugaring with Kelli for about one year. Her attention to detail won me over. She is very attentive, somewhat OCD when it comes to hair removal and I couldn't imagine a better fitting quality for this kind of service. She is very versatile and works with not only sugaring but also facials. Sugaring btw can be done in your entire body. I do my face, underarms, Brazilian and sideburns. I have a sensitive skin and have never had a reaction which is a major plus for me. My favorite thing about Kelli is that she is super fast. Fast service and quality?!! Yes, she's got it. I am sold. Highly recommend sugaring for it lightens up your underarms, it exfoliates as it removes the hair and MORE IMPORTANTLY, in my humble opinion, IT DOES NOT HURT AS MUCH. Thumbs up all the way. I recently decided to get a facial with Kelli at Beauty Lounge in Walnut Creek and it was an Awesome experience! She was a delight. Very skilled, very friendly, very nice atmosphere and my face felt rejuvenated afterwards. The price was very fair considering the quality of her work. My girlfriend brought me here to have me get my chest hair removed and Kelli recommended I try to get it sugared and it was honestly 10x better than my past experiences waxing; I was sooo stoked to learn that there's a method involving less pain out there. I thought I was doomed to be stuck waxing and dealing with its initial pain and irritation forever haha. the bed there is hella comfortable too and is a lot nicer than the couple other places I've had to go into.
