Can anyone recommend a hair and nail place around Visalia?  Where people are actually friendly? I'll drive a 50 mile radius if need be. wish I had more to base my review off of, but here is my review for the Salon Ave. I called to make an appt since it's right down the street from my house I wanted to check it out. Maybe do something with my crazy mop. When I called the girl that answered sounded jaded, like she couldn't be bothered to even breath. She took my number and said I would get a call back with availability. 24 hrs passed no call back, so I called again. Same girl answered. I explained I never got a call back. She promised someone would get back to me and hung up. I am still waiting on that call. Good thing I didn't hold my breath. I couldn't help but notice a majority of the "satisfied" customers here are Caucasian. Maybe my having a Hispanic name had something to do with me not getting a call back. Twice!!! The Salon Avenue was truly a great find in Visalia, CA. I was having my wedding inside Sequoia National Park on 04/22/2017 and contacted over 50 salons in the surrounding areas and of course, no one was willing to trek up that mountain except for Rebekah and Brenda from The Salon Avenue! They were honestly a God-send for us. They did hair and make-up for me (the bride), Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, Flower Girl, and a few other aunts and cousins who jumped in last minute to have their hair and make-up done by these ladies because they were awesome and did a great job. My wedding was everything and more and it was because these beautiful ladies made me feel and look beautiful on my day! Thank you ladies for driving up the mountain for us! Got a fantastic cut from Maria. She was very experienced and professional, and made time for my last minute decision to put a clear glaze in my hair. My hair looks so healthy and shiny. I really enjoy coming to this salon.  I have finally found a place and a hair stylist (Maria) that I can trust with my hair.  She not only gives me a great shampoo, cut, and highlights...but she also shares with me ideas on how to keep my hair looking sharp. I do wish that when they get busy with clients that they would lower their volume/tone.  With hair dryers going, etc., etc., its sometimes difficult to relax when it is so noisy with others' loud voices. I have been going to this salon since it opened. I've used several different stylist and they have cut and styled my children often. I cannot express what a wonderful experience it is to have anything done. Professional courtesy from start to finish. ...and you can't beat the coloring done here. Gorgeous.
