I'm just going to list everything I experienced at this nail salon: 1. Didn't have to wait very long (maybe like 20 minutes) but was asked to change tables twice. I ended up at the one I started at. 2. The woman doing my nails didn't bother to clean or clip them before starting. 3. She also wasn't wearing gloves or a mask. She didn't wash her hands when she moved on from client to the next. Her hands were filthy when she finally got to me. 4. This woman complained about the person she saw before me, who was still in the salon, right behind me, the whole time. 5. She told me she couldn't do the shape or length I wanted, it wouldn't look good. 5. She kept insisting I get gel polish. After I finally said yes, she told me they were out of the pink I wanted but had a nice dark purple shade that would "be much better." No. 6. After she finishes, she takes the same disposable nail file and pair nippers she was using on my hands and proceeds to use them on the feet of her next client. All in all this place is disgusting, the staff is rude, they're horrible at keeping appoitments, they told multiple people to come back tomorrow, and my nails lasted six days before the first one came off. First time going here drive around for a while look for nail shops. I went in for a full set pedi when asked did I want my eyebrows I said sure because they did need a clean up. I got a basic set medium long no color just clear pink my nails are thick and I’m not to pleased with them. I went to the back to get my eyebrows and the lady that did them burned me pretty bad when I told her it burn she said oh I put aloe Vera I asked for a wet paper towel and was given a dry tissue. My pedicure was a $23 special which was to include callus removal did not get that but because my focus was in my eyebrows burning I just wanted to get Pitt if there needles to say I will not go there again Read Less

This was the worst experience with a manicure/pedicure ever! The girl never filed my nails only cute them with clippers, there was NO kind of lotion or hand massage and the polish was applied was sloppy.  The pedicure was just OK, no massage again and the polish job was sloppy too. BE CAREFUL! ! They overcharge u. They don't ask u if u want other services or explain fees. They when you go to pay they quote higher price. I just moved up to the high desert and had no idea where to get my nails done. Glad I chose this place . Danny did my nails ... they came out perfect. He knew I was trying something new . I have been to this salon several times throughout they're opening back in 2004. Sadly to say this business has progressively gotten worse, recently I had a visit to this place with one of my favorite technicians that had been there, only to find out that she no longer works there. Not only did the gentleman at the front take my appointment and said yes she will see you at 4 but when, I show up he actually says she no longer works here. Could have saved me a trip and just have been honest she is no longer working there. This place has very bad quality of nails customer service and location. I have never been to this nail shop before so I thought I'd give it a try. I haven't had my nails done in a while because I just had a baby. When I walked into the establishment I looked for the first person to show some type of customer service. It took a bit for someone to acknowledge me but when they did I let them know that I wanted a full set and a pedicure. The lady directed me to go choose my color, so I walked towards the back. Usually I get Gel on my nails because I know it last longer but I didn't see the Gel where she told me to look so I asked another lady but that she just kept walking as if I never said anything to her. Another worker noticed that the lady had ignored me and she quickly told me that it is on the other side but she said it like in a snobby way. Eventually an older gentleman asked me to come sit at his booth. He seems pretty friendly so I jokingly asked if he did a good job. He was pretty hesitant about his answer but I didn't think twice about it. Eventually they put me in the spa chair for my pedicure so he continued my manicure from the chair. Now I was giving him the benefit of the doubt and didn't think that he would do such a crappy job just because I was sitting in the chair. I was so relaxed I wasn't really paying attention to how bad of a job he was doing. Eventually once they were done and I was sitting under the UV rays of light things when I noticed how bad of a job it actually was. So I started showing a few ladies around me and the other gentleman named Danny overheard me saying how unhappy I was with the job. So he offered to redo them for me but because it was so close to closing time he wanted me to come back in the morning. The gentleman who originally did my nails offered to fix them for me but I figured if you didn't do it right the first time what makes you think that you would do it right this second time, so I refused. Long story short I came back first thing in the morning and got them redone but I don't feel like I should've had you come back and get them done again the guy should've done it the right way the first time especially if I'm paying $70 for a full set and pedicure. Shoutout to Danny for my full set!! He's good, funny, quick and gives you what you want! Good price! Also I like "Ally" she's funny as heck.. Cambodian. She did a gel manicure on my nails and it was nice! But the best part was her jokes, I really felt like I was at a comedy show.. I was referred by a coworker to this nail place and now this is my favorite place! Good prices and good customer service! I've come twice now and I'm pleased with my service from Ally and Danny! When I first walked in, I was greeted immediately. I asked for a pedicure and they asked if I wanted my nails done too. I told them that I already have nails and just would like a pedicure. She took my hand and critiqued my nails to her fellow colleagues and they all looked at me, errr! I'm a very polite person...btw. So the lady who did my pedicure, left 3 toes with my previous polish on, during the entire pedicure, didn't do some of the things to be done during a pedicure, rinsed and wiped all lotion off, painted over the polish that was still on my 3 toes...I had black and got maroon. I guess she thought you wouldn't be able to see it. I politely asked, if she could remove the black and re polish it, because the black is showing and she started speaking to other employees in her language, again and they all turned and looked. I think that is so rude, but it seems I should be used to it. So I got a 15 minute pedicure and it doesn't look much different than when I walked in. Will not return! Read Less

DO NOT GET LASHES HERE!!!!! This lady didn't use eyelash glue she used hair glue( like for a weave) she used too much glue creating one giant clump of lashes! I tried not to get too overwhelmed but once I got home I knew it was bad so I tried w everything to get them off that day! I don't think she has ever done eyelashes I think they just didn't want to send me away cause that was an easy 25 bucks! Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. Read Less

I go to Top Star as a walk-in a couple times a month for pedicures and am normally given a chair right away. On occasions when I do have to wait, the average time is 10 minutes. This shop is run smoothly and efficiently, and the price difference when compared to salons down the hill makes this place a win-win. Read Less

Went back today even though my visit there 3wks ago left me wondering WHY I still patronize them. Walked in and was told "15min wait"....after 40 mins I was finally told to sit at a station. The male technician started on my nails and got them filed down to the 'rough' stage before the acrylic, when he got up and went to paint another customer's nails!!! I sat there for 5 more minutes only because I really didn't want to leave with my nails all messed up the way he had left them but the more I sat, the more mad I got. Their customer service is THE WORST!!  Another gal who was there for a pedicure also walked out a few minutes before I did after the same thing happened to her in the pedicure station.If they don't have enough people to tend to EVERYONE that walks in, they should NOT tell them it's a few minutes wait or seat them just so we can sit and wait while they tend to others, who probably had waited too.They need to care more about the client instead of the DOLLAR!! If I could give no stars, I would. I went here Friday night just before closing. I understand that it was near closing time, but if they were short on time they should have just told me to come back later. Instead I was hurried while picking my color and was subjected to a rushed job. While picking my color, the manicurist repeatedly told me she was ready. Then, when I finally got my color, she didn't even bother to change the towel my hands and arms were resting on.Not only was she very rude, she did a very poor job on my nails. They looked so bad I removed the polish once I got home. My fingernails were painted so poorly. There were a lot of air bubbles, polish was missing from the sides, it looked wrinkly, and the top coat didn't even cover all the polish. This was my first and last time at this store. Read Less

Not all nail shops are the same. And of course on busy holiday weekends there are wait times.. But these people here were friendly and spoke to us not only to each other. As far as my pedicure....!!!Ughhh..UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER:: Once i let "kim" know i didn't want her full services, she did what she wanted..looks like my nephew did my pedicure...wtf!! I used to come here a lot. The manicurists are very friendly and welcoming. The place is clean (usually) but sadly the people that have been coming here lately have made this a scary place to come and "relax"  The last few times I went and got a pedicure  there have been people not wanting to pay for their services and arguing and starting fights and creating scenes with the employees. The last and final time I decided to go was the same issue except there was a man in the salon that looked like he was about to pull out a gun and rob the place! Scary stuff. Unfortunately for these reasons I can only give one star. If they want to get people back here they are going to have to hire a full time security guard. Waited an hour and a half for low quality work at a regular price, I am so annoyed that I waited that long for nails I'm not even impressed with. My pedicure was rushed and my nails are crooked and misshaped. Definitely will not be coming back to this place. Read Less
