I bought a Groupon to have my eyebrows done. I called and scheduled an appointment. I was asked if I would like a reminder call and I said yes. I never got a reminder call. The date of my appointment came around, I showed up as scheduled and the shop was closed! I was extremely disappointed as I had taken time off work to make my appointment. I am really struggling to write this review because I told the owner Sheena that I wouldn't because she is sweet and means well. So I slept on it and decided to write it because I am in A LOT OF PAIN and I don't wish this on any fellow Yelpers or anyone for that matter. Here it is: I saw an advertisement on facebook it said Monday though Friday between 4pm and 7pm happy hour prices for threading. I decided to give it a try. I went in and was helped by the owner sheena. She shared that she wants to have a one stop shop for women to get their beauty needs met, which I thought it was great. She also said there are not a lot of threading places in Ventura and she hasn't been big on it but would like to start, again great. So now to the horrible part: From the start I could tell she didn't know what she was doing, her thread kept ripping, it probably ripped about 20+ times. I decided to get my full face due to price and hating the hair. She put powered all over my face which she said was to avoid cuts. She struggled to get my hair threaded and said she couldn't get the baby hairs. She couldn't get the shape of my eyebrows right but she promised to fix the shape if I kept going back to her. She was very nice and sweet. I arrived at 6pm and didn't leave till 7:15 pm she was very slow and nervous. The threading was painful but I didn't think anything of it. I should of known better. When she was done she put witch hazel and aloe which helped soothe my skin.  I am not kidding at what happened next :( I get home and notice a bunch of cuts all over my face. Tiny blood droplets all over my cheeks, jawline, chin etc. it was so painful but I figured it would go away. The next day I woke up in so much pain. My whole face hurt. I have tons of cuts everywhere. So I texted her and let her know. I asked her to please get the proper training or hire someone professional to do the threading. She shouldn't do it just for the money. See pictures. So that was Friday today I am still in pain I have a bunch of scabs forming all over my face and I am in a lot of pain. I can't even put make up on because it hurts. I feel terrible to leave a bad review but I paid for a service and what I got in return in a face full of scabs and indescribable pain. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR THREADING, I DO NOT WISH THIS ON ANYONE. I have threaded for years and I have never experienced anything like this. Just finished a bridal trial. Michel did an amazing job with my nails. The pedicure in particular was extremely relaxing, and well worth the price.The make up and hair trial ($50 for both) was very fun and relaxing. Corrinne did my make up and was extremely accommodating and very personable. I love the way both my hair and make up turned out.The salon was extremely flexible about times. I have a Sunday wedding and it was hard to score an appointment on a Sunday. The staff here went above and beyond to accommodate me and I'm a very happy client. I highly recommend them.The only tip I have is to confirm your appointment the day before. We had a bit of confusion over the appointment time,  so I'd recommend confirming just to be safe. DO NOT allow Mishel V. to cut your hair! I walked in the shop with hair 2-3 inches below my jawline. I asked for it to be left long and just shortened in the back to reshape it. I showed her a picture of the shape, but emphasized that I wanted it to be longer. I walked out of the shop with a boy's haircut, the longest part being 3 inches above my jawline. It's uneven, misshaped on every side, and thinned to the point where I can only wear a hat until it grows out enough to be fixed by someone who does know what they are doing! I was going to attach a picture, but it's too humiliating. When I texted her to let her know how she disregarded every request I made and completely destroyed my hair for the next 6 months until it grows out, she had no response. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT allow her to touch your hair unless you enjoy gambling on what you'll look like when you walk out of the shop. I have NEVER seen a worst haircut on ANYONE! EVER! I could have done better myself with some gardening shears and no mirror. Read Less

Such a find, this place. I moved to Ventura a while ago & hesitated to find a new salon, so I was driving 45 mins to go to my regular salon. Finally took a chance on this little place in Vons plaza right down the road from my house. I am glad I did. On the first try, I found Corinne. She listened & took extra care to give me what I wanted. The prices are great for top notch service, too. They give you $10 off on your first cut, which is normally $35 women's/$25 men's. My husband & I got our first service done for only $40! If you are in the area, I recommend giving this place a try. Further, schedule a session with Corinne. You won't be disappointed. Read Less

Was referred to this salon by a friend, and I went to check it out before booking an appt. I spoke w/Patti about my concerns. I have a multicolored bob(brown, burgandy & blonde highlights) I wanted to make sure I could have an experienced hairdresser & Patti assured me everyone in this salon is very experienced.  My appt was for 10am, Corrine was who they booked me with & she was with another client until 10:40. So that was already a red flag(I should of just walked out then)when Corrine assessed my hair she said she couldn't put blonde in my hair(even though I have blonde already)because it's too damaged. So she kept seperating my hair for about 5 min or so(I was nervous, it seemed as though she didn't know what to do)she started coloring my hair..............RED!!!!!! then she told me she was going to hand me off to Lindsey so she could cut my precision haircut. I was beyond irritated. So Lindsey cut my hair inbetween giving Corrine lessons on cutting hair. Finally at 1:10pm I walked out of the salon with pink hair(the red bled onto my blonde)and a cut that looks like a freaky, razor cut. I absolutely hate my hair, I will NEVER step foot into that salon ever again. I now have to find a salon that can fix this disaster. Read Less

I came here for an appointment with Evelyn and loved the look I came out with!The first time I came in I had just told her I wanted my brown hair darker with some fun purple streaks. Evelyn took the time to research colors that would look good on me and found a darker brown with hints of purple to go along with a bright purple for the streaks and I loved how it came out! Added a nice trim and got my eyebrows threaded and I felt beautiful as I walked out that door.The second time I was bummed my purple had faded out so I asked for a darker redder brown that would be more permanent, as I am not one to want to go in frequently to fix my hair. She found the perfect color and I am in love with my hair now. I like how knowledgeable she is about hair itself as well. She was able to recommend some good shampoos and supplements that would improve my hair's health.The salon itself is gorgeous too! I went to Impressions Beauty Bar for the first time yesterday and it was GREAT! Everyone was so nice and the receptionist were constantly asking if I was ok or if I needed a drink which I thought was nice. Brooke did my hair, which I love! Dealing with cancer my hair had taken a turn for the worst, stylist Linzy comforted me and helped me understand what was going on . She brought my hair back to life.
