I took my mom in to get some make up supplies. We got helped by this make up girl who was freaking awesome. She helped my mom with all her questions, since I don't know anything about make up and I'm always the one helping her out. She showed my mom so much stuff, did her make up and made this experience wonderful for my mom. And yes, this is the first time I use the word wonderful. I wish I would have got the girls name, but she was a make up artist, short, tan, maybe from the Middle East. She had a beautiful accent. Sucks I didn't have her name, and kind of rude I have to describe her, but I want her bosses to read this and give her a raise. She deserves it. 1) I'm sick of this store's dishonest and misleading signage for buy one/get one, or free gift type offers. It's a ploy to get you to the register with extra product, expecting to save money only to be told that the offer doesn't apply! This has happened to me with items of the same brand, on the same shelf with the offer signage, but were ineligible because the "product line" is slightly different, or some other bullshit trick. I've seen customers ahead of me in line get duped with exclusions and fine print, too. I don't know why a business would rather lose a whole sale than apply savings in a reasonably fair way. Like I said, it's to get you to the register with a bigger sale, with the expectation that you will give up and buy it anyway.2) It doesn't matter what time of day it is, the line for the register is always at least ten people deep. At least! Maybe it's because they have to constantly run around the store looking at signage to figure out why they can't give the deal they advertised to the customer? Or they're going in back to look for the that add-on they offered but are "unfortunately all out of" but can't substitute something else as a good faith gesture? Maybe it's because they have to recite a script to every customer who is preapproved for their crappy credit card (literally everyone in line who gets Ulta rewards)?Brick and mortar stores like Ulta are always whining quarter after quarter about slowing sales, but crap like this is why people are shopping online. I know I'm going to take my business to Ulta's competitors. Sephora is always a better experience in store, anyway, and their rewards are better. For everything else I can't get there, Amazon it is. This review is for the brow bar:I got my eyebrows done at the Benefit brow bar for the first time about 7 or 8 months ago. My third time there I had an appointment with jasmine(for the first time)... and I have refused to let anyone touch my brows since. Jasmine is absolutely amazing at her job. She has seen me through all of my brow phases & pays very close attention to detail, which I greatly appreciate. I have never had a bad brow experience with jasmine. I want the benefit brow & Ulta to know what an asset jasmine is to the company.  My advice to anyone who gets their brows done in Vacaville would be to make an appointment with jasmine. Read Less

I thought I was lucky to get a same day appointment to get highlights and a trim for my hair but boy was a wrong... After sitting in the chair for 4.5 hours I left with the worst hair dye of my life & the lady kept telling me it looked ok!!! I have seriously dark uneven roots that are long and noticeable and somehow the rest of my hair is a slim shady orange/white when all I wanted was highlights. I'm active duty military & if I go into work with my hair like this Monday it's going to be bad news. I swear this lady had no idea what she was doing when it came to dying hair. Read Less

I feel like this store is very hit or miss. One day I can walk in and I'm greeted and the customer service is decent, other times,  its almost like I don't exist! No one even greets me when I walk in, and no one on the floor is there to answer questions. Also, no matter what day it is, the line to checkout is always long. So be prepared to wait in a long line, and the cashier may or may not even acknowledge you when you check out. Read Less

Called in ahead to make an appointment for me and my friend. We came on time and had to wait. I've been to the benefit in SF and came in today to get a clean up. To my horror I left with uneven and thinner eyebrows. The first brow I was content with but the right brow is too thin and a mismatching brow shape. I had Jasmine do my brows and she was very nice and friendly but I was dissatisfied with the service. I was given 50% off but I'm still frustrated that I'll have to grow out my brows and live with the flaw for the next few months, especially during my holiday break. I have recommend benefit to friends and family in the past but sadly not this location. Read Less

Called the brow bar at Ulta after having trouble making an appointment in time for a girls night out.  Was able to schedule a next day appointment with Brandi during my lunch break.  Immediately I realized that the girls here are not nearly as friendly as the ones I have met at various Macy's throughout the east bay.  My appointment was at 1:20 and upon my arrival the esthetician was still working on someone else although there were 2 other employees who made sure to let me know I was waiting for the one person who actually had a client.  I wasn't seen until 20 minutes after my scheduled time because the esthetician was finishing up with her client.  However, I am super glad i waited around for Brandi to do my eyebrows.  She mapped everything out  (which in all of my brow bar experiences over the last 3 years i have only had done once).  My eyebrows ended up looking FIERCE.  I mean I was so happy!!!! Brandi is amazing and well worth the wait.   She had my EYEBROWS ON FLEEK for my night out.  I highly reccommend visiting Brandi at Benefits brow bar in Vacaville. You wont be disappointed. I've been going to Benefit Brow Bar for the past few years and have never had a problem until today. I've been to several different Brow Bar locations and have had numerous aestheticians work on my brows, but Stephanie at the Vacaville location is by far the worst aesthetician I've ever had. I asked for a full, strong brow and ended up with patchy, uneven brows. She didn't trim my brows or even attempt a clean look like I had asked. Her technique was sloppy and awkward and she even got wax on my eyelashes. The entire experience was so bad that I couldn't wait to leave. My skin is now red and painful, something that has never happened before. I'm shocked that Benefit would put such an untrained aesthetician to work in their location. I'll definitely have to reconsider using Brow Bar services and will most likely be taking my business elsewhere. Read Less

Carmen at the ULTA brow bar is the worst. She filled in my eyebrows really harsh before she waxed it. She used a stencil so she could see how to fill in my brows. The wax itself took way too long because she was busy talking to one of her coworkers. When she was finished my eyebrows were very thin when I had specifically said not to wax them that thin. I looked in the mirror and my eyebrows were also filled in WAY TOO DARK for my hair color. She did not know what she was doing! When i went up to pay, this older lady at the cash register insisted that I tip Carmen but to be honest, I was not happy with my brows. I thought the cashier was being really rude asking me why I didn't tip her. Read Less

Tracy at brow bar is incredible. I came in yesterday and asked that she show me how to contour and what she would suggest and she did half of my face and had me do the other half. Incredible customer service.  She has done my eyebrows on numerous occasions and they always look amazing. I highly recommend Tracy. Read Less

I have never gotten my brows done and I was a little nervous . My brows are very light in color compared to my dark hair and are sparse so I was like "let's see what you can do to make my brows less ugly"but never did I think my brows would actually look good! They have nice shape and color thanks to the waxing and tinting treatment I received from a nice lady named Carmen. She did my brows and she really seems to know what she's doing. She was on time and took the time to talk to me . She really did a great job  and it was pretty quick and painless. I will be going back  for sure . Read Less

I was just in Ulta, for the first time.  I was trying to find a specific item.  I went up and down and aisle after aisle.    I couldn't find one person to help.  They obviously run a skeleton crew on the weekends.  Not sure I would go back.  It's a cute store, but lacking customer service. Would definitely recommend Carmen at the brow bar. I use to get my eyebrows waxed at the nail salon that I used to go to but when Carmen started working at ultra I've been coming to her. Ok. Let me just start off by saying that I have thick hair. When my brows get plucked it seriously feels like each hair is being yanked out of my brain. That being said. I am VERY  picky about who takes care of my brows. My first two benebabes who took care of me moved away to bigger and better things. I was heartbroken. You can imagine my stress going on emotional roller coasters and trust issues with other estheticians. But anyway..So I had an appointment with Carmen and although she got the job done it still felt half-assed. She did not clean them up all the way. If you want great eyebrows, Carmen knows what she's doing!! I don't trust anyone else to touch my brows anymore. She's gentle when waxing and tweezing, and is outgoing and sweet to make your appointment enjoyable! I also love how she covers up some of the redness afterwards, so I can continue my day without looking silly. I recommend her to all my friends and family, and they've all started seeing her too. Reviewing only for the brow bar in Benefit. I have been going to different benefit multiple times and the outcome is quite similar and I always love it. However, I tried the brow bar in Ulta just because I really need some eyebrow waxing that time. I was very dissappointed in going in. I'm not sure that the lady, Carmen her name is, that did my eyebrow has a lot of experience in eyebrow waxing. Basically what she does is she takes out a stencil and used the brow shadow to cover up the stencil and she starts to wax around it. I could have done that at home instead of paying $27 for an eyebrow and lip. She never trimmed my eyebrows. And when i got home, I had to fix my eyebrow. There were so many mistakes that carmen did compare to other benefit brow bar that I have been to! Never coming back to that brow bar to get my eyebrows done again. Read Less

Just got my brows done here for the first time today and I am so happy I did. I've desperately been needing some grooming to be done on my eyebrows for a while now and my brows just looks FANTASTIC! I am very happy with the lady that did my brows. She was very sweet and gentle. She was a bit slow but still very good. Nothing aggravates me more than a woman who's heavy handed and rough around my sensitive eye area. But this lady was a professional. She was very gentle and she very sweet! The waxing cost me $20.
