My overall first time experience was not very pleasant. I made an appointment, when I showed up, the receptionist I believe her name was Michelle? Showed me their prices and options for gel mani then proceeded to show me their color selection. I was then left waiting for maybe 10 minutes after I picked the color before the nail technician came. She was nice and talkative but the uv lmao she used was either too old or not right for gel nails. After she painted both hands, she realized it was not dry and the polish became a bunch of lumps. I'm not sure if it was her first time making this mistake because she acted confused when she saw the nail colors not dry and asked "why is it like this?" And "is it your first time getting gel mani?" Of course it's not, but even if it is, Anyone would know that something you did was not right. I almost wanted to ask her "is it your first time doing gel mani?" She then started talking in Vietnamese to the other nail technician Ann and she came over and said she will take over. Ann basically removed everything, filed and re did everything. They did apologize. Thankfully Ann is really fast and efficient, she did a fairly good job considering how fast it was. I wasn't given any discount but when I left Michelle the receptionist did offer to do my nails free of charge if anything if wrong with it in the next few days. Read Less

I stopped by here after one of my acrylic nails was torn off and bleeding. I saw their ratings on yelp and gave it a go. They were fantastic!! Ann was so gentle with my busted nail and did not hurt me at all!! Not only was it pleasant, but she did a fantastic job and was SUPER SPEEDY!!! This place is so unique! I love the openness of each of the seats-I much prefer it over the standard massage chair. They give you a complimentary drink (I chose a mimosa) while they prepared the milk bath. The milk bath has some aromatics added, like oranges and azaleas. Their leg scrub is a mix of sugars massaged into the skin with orange slices. All the ladies there were great by the sounds of it-every patron was very happy as they left (myself included!)The only note I have is that it was pretty hot inside-and this was on a day where it was raining outside. Came to this nail salon for the first time last week. Customer service is hands down their biggest strength. The salon itself is clean, modern and aesthetically pleasing. Not to mention comfy!Jessica was incredibly sweet and friendly. She did an excellent job on my manicure. I was offered complimentary champagne and a soft pillow to support my lumbar while I sat. My daughter and I have been coming to Studio 18 salon for the past few months and we love it. First of all, it is clean and sanitary and they take out fresh tools from the autoclave every time. The studio is beautiful and they are there to pamper you. The staff is super friendly. The prices are higher than other salons but it is worth every penny. From the second I walked in the owner here made me feel so welcome! She checked on me throughout the my visit and made sure to fully explain the Amazingness they have to offer! My manicurist was so sweet and the girl who did my pedi was so knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail. I had a little somethin going on with my toe and she explained not only the proper way to carefor and clean it, but also shared some natural remedies to help heal it as well. Studio 18 is conveniently located across the street from the 7leaves. Parking in the plaza is easy. There is a 7-11 in the plaza next door if you need cash. I came in mid-day so, it was extremely slow. The nail bar is beautiful, luxurious, and modern. I was given the nail menu and seated immediately. They have a wide selection of colors to choose from. The owner Christie was super sweet, warm with her welcome and got me a glass of champagne to start off! You can tell customer service is a priority here. She came by frequently to check up on me. My only concern was having two different people work on me. I prefer only 1 person working on me. Katie shaped my nails really well...short and squared however, she was sick and had to leave mid way so, Ana finished the second half. Luckily, Ana was super sweet and meticulous her self so, I was in good hands. She was patient and helped me pick the right shade of color. If you are looking to treat yourself...this is the bougey nail bar to go too. Pricing was fair and affordable. I got the gel removal $5 and a regular mini manicure $20. While scheduling here was very easy and pleasant that's where things end. The woman doing my nails basically slapped nail polish on my hands and feet unevenly, without filing or giving me the proper manicure or pedicure that I ended up paying for. When I expressed concern over the quality of my service the woman doing my nails packed up her supplies IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SERVICE and left me waiting until another person came and tried to fix her mistakes. We were offered no apology, I was just told that I should have addressed my issues with someone other than the woman doing my nails -- which would have been helpful to know prior to starting my service. We were offered no discount, no apology, no nothing -- hands down the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever received and I will NEVER return here again. I love going to this Salon because they have all the colors you can dream of. I'm wearing the Tiger Eye in the left and Chrome on the right. I've had a couple designers work on my nails and everyone has been great! It's Christmas time so I'll get to try something new! Fantastic nail place! Very impressed with their work and their service. We went during their Happy Hour pricing with a reservation and we were seated immediately. I never felt rushed or like the technician was impatient (felt this elsewhere when getting acrylics). My full set with gel and a single nail design was only $60 and my friend's gel nails with a design on every nail plus an extra design on two was only $40! We had to ask for our drinks but got them without problem, I'm starting to really like this complimentary drink trend in the salon businesses. Read Less

I  L O V E  Studio 18 Nail Bar!First of all, it's SO PRETTY and relaxing inside. The music is like dance/club music and found it surprisingly relaxing!I made an appt via Yelp for the next day (thanksgiving eve) for a studio manicure + gel, studio pedicure and brow + lip wax. The ladies who attended to me were so friendly, professional, thorough and took their time for A grade quality work. I hate how I usually feel rushed when I get nails done from other places and they usually end up hurting me and doing a bad job. But Studio 18 took their time and I almost fell asleep! I've never written a review before but I'm so upset with my nails that I just needed to write one.I've never been here before but the reviews seemed good so I made an appt with perfect timing cuz I happened to break my nail on the way to the shop.I'm really upset cuz I wanted to love this place cuz its so nice and the ladies are all easy to communicate with, but my nails turned out terribly.They're not the color or design that I wanted I asked for a shimmery peach and shimmery white but I ended up with a really light sheer pink and silver sparkles. It came out different from what was on the display nails and when I told my nail tech Julie that it looked different she said that it was because the display was painted onto white nails. Okay I understand that but if you knew that why did you not say anything before? To her credit she recommended different colors but I told her I wanted peach and white and she said okay and also called the silver sparkles "white" which was misleading. For the designs I wanted a triangle type of geometric design and instead she gave me candy cane type of stripes and I asked her to do it in a triangle and she said "its not easy with this polish its too sheer." Um okay  then why did you say you could do it? The lines are not even straight the polish is not even I am 100% sure I couldve done a better job. She did not have tape so she free handed it but if it was going to be that bad then she shouldve warned me.She tried making designs with the silver and the pink like she said she could do and then after she had done a design on only one nail she said "yeah you should just do solid." I appreciate that she tried but if it was gonna be done this way then she shouldnt have said it was possible in the first place.The pink polish is also uneven and you can see the gaps where the polish was not evenly applied. The broken nail that she repaired is incredibly lumpy and the polish and even the nail shape is so uneven! I've gone to places where they fixed broken nails and the polish and shape was fine after so its not even an excuse. There is polish on my cuticles and while we are talking about cuticles!!! lets not forget my finger that was bleeding the whole time because she wrecked it with her cuticle cutter! After my cuticle was swimming in blood she doesn't even say sorry but instead has the audacity to say "you have really bad cuticles." Um. Honey I'd rather have bad cuticles than bloody cuticles. I appreciate her effort but it was not what I wanted and I told her that but she says "yeah but its actually pretty I like it" like okay thanks but I don't like it and its not what I asked for. At the end I was clearly upset and so she says "You have to understand that the gel polish doesnt stay well for designs and it melts. Acrylic is better because theres more space and its stronger." This was some bull because after showing her reference pics for the designs I wanted I asked if acrylic would be better and easier and she literally says "mm same thing!" and now shes gonna act brand new and say that gel is harder and acrylic is better??Normally I'd be whatever about shitty nails but I got them done because I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I wanted to have nice nails but now I'm gonna have some jank ass nails.Also this didnt really bother me but just while I'm being petty, everyone else in the shop was drinking wine or tea or water and the front lady walked around asking people if they wanted anything to drink but she didnt approach me until I was literally dONE with my manicure. Like I was in hot towel mode and she asked me if I wanted anything. She did apologize though so I'm not too heated about that.In all honesty they look okay if you look at it for like a second so I was generous and gave 2 stars but its just completely not what I wanted and so disappointing.I still tipped cuz I'm a civilized person but I'm definitely not coming back ever. It was very pretty inside and I like the whole idea of it being luxurious without the high prices.The people who worked here were very kind, polite and friendly and I did get a very nice pedicure although it didn't come with a foot massage. Wow wow wow! I'm not even sure where to begin with how great this place is!! I'm getting married this weekend and I wanted to treat my bridal party, and my new sister-in-laws to a relaxing mani-pedi treatment. I went to another salon before hand and they denied me the possibility of making an appointment for 9 girls. I contacted this store and Christie was so generous, friendly and helpful! She said that they don't normally open on Tuesdays but because of my large party they were going to open especially for me! What a treat! So yesterday me and my girls enjoyed a nice glass of champagne, lemonade, coffee, & soda while getting pampered!I got the champagne and rose pedicure treatment and it felt so nice. They poured really champagne on my legs and it honestly very soothing. I work on my feet all day and this was honestly a real treat! I also had a really bad callus on my heel and it's completely gone now! I couldn't get rid of it on my own for ages! So glad I went here! All of my ladies got speciality pedicures and gel manicures, and my flower girl got little flowers on her toes as well! So cute! All of their manicures, nails, gel, pedicures etc avoid using harsh chemicals and they use mostly in house essentials oils , so you're not ruining your nails or feet! All of the workers were super friendly and excited to help us and treat us and they wanted to make sure we were getting everything we needed and wanted! Swanky nail bar in Tustin. It is on the pricey side, but in exchange you get an immaculate salon with personalized attention. They just opened up two months ago so the space is new, bright and spacious. In the centre of the store are their in-house scrubs and lotions that accompany most of their services. I tried out the Lavender Vanilla scrub infused with Almond Oil and it smelled lovely! I was taken care of by Chi who was super friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The owner (I didn't get her name) was also very friendly and patient when answering my questions. They have a great line of nail polishes that don't contain harmful chemicals, which I opted to try out. Overall it was a nice and relaxing experience. They take card and even gave me two cold water bottles to go (one for me, one for my husband) along with flip flops since I rolled in there with tennis shoes (yeah, this was a spur of the moment thing).
