This was my first time, the place seems unorganized and the lady doing my nails was rushing. The paint on my nails was blotchy and missing on some of the sides. The clear coat is only on part of the nails and you can see little holes. After $22 I have to come home and paint my own nails. Recently went on Friday 1/26/2018 to get a pedicure and my acrylic nails filled. They did an awesome job on the pedicure not complaints. What made my experience bad was Andy( super skinny guy) he insulted me the whole duration of sitting in his chair. He has no filter in his mouth rudest person I’ve ever come across. Don't go! It was Dirty 1st of all!!!!! I made an appointment over the phone so when I walked in I almost walked out just because of the Lack Of cleanliness ! I should have not even sad down! The person that did my nails cut two of me fingers when they were filing them too the point that they were bleeding .  (That was two days ago and it still hurts! ) The worst part was they put that File back in the drawer to use for the next person . My husband John, my daughter and I had been pretty regular customers there. Two weeks after "Linda" did my nails; however, they looked horrible...bubbling and lifting with ridges at the nail bed. I went in to say I needed them fixed for free. I was told they could do that but was asked to come back the next day when they had more time, so I did. Linda redid my nails and then insisted on charging me $15 (simply because I changed to a different gel nail color). The two stars are here are for the technician who did my nails since she was sweet and the pedicure itself was enjoyable. However , I spent 45 dollars yesterday including a tip to get my toes done. Not only did they sit under a UV  light but I waited about 20 minutes before leaving and then didn't touch my toes or change for hours. Somehow today the nail polish is literally like melting off just my right foot.  All I've done is catch a plane to Vegas (which is why I got my nails done ). Really dissatisfied. So today July 12 I took my mom to get a mani and a pedi and  the lady that did her toes did a good job and was very kind but the guy that did her nails was super rough with her and EXTREMELY rude my mom kept telling him that it hurt and that she wanted him to fix certain things with her nails and he had the audacity to say she's "PICKY" UMMM NO..... I went back to complain after realizing how UN-HAPPY she was. I told the guy my honest opinion and I'm was absolutely NOT RUDE ! I told him that he didn't do a good job that he put a smaller size nail on her than her actual nail also that he didn't place the acrylic powder evenly, resulting that there are openings on the corners of not one but EACH and EVERY nail on her hands and he said "that's how they are" that's when I got upset and said I'm not her claiming to know how to do your job better than you. I came so that my mom could have a good time also because we have a big family event this Saturday. I told him that he needed to fix her nails, completely FREE OF CHARGE ! And he said she could come back another day because he was busy....but there was no one there ..???? Anyways he left her nails crooked AS FUCK and her skin around her nails peeling away of how hard he was... bottom line is that it was BAD customer service and overall a bad experience we paid in total $220 for me my sister and my mom my sisters was $71 total hands and feet mine were $72 because the charged an extra $5 for the shape of my nails which are coffin shaped and my moms were $77 because they charger her $10 dollars more just because she wanted the silver French tip ..AND THEYRE HORRIBLE I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET THERE NAILS DONE THEIR NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED THAT WAY.... My mom and I stopped by for a quick mani pedi. The woman doing my pedi didn't know how to file or cut my nails and I had to instruct her how to do just that. Started seeing Kevin when I first moved to Tracy a year ago and have loved him and his work from day one. He is careful and detailed and always gives me exactly what I want. I originally came in for a fill & wanted a sheer/clear gel polish. I asked if they had holographic and they said yes for $10 more. I agreed to do the holographic nails with a pink gel base. I loved the shape he gave me but once he started applying the holographic powder, it wasn't sticking onto may nails. He then proceeded to buff off a layer and apply a new top coat & try again. It failed multiple times because it got "too dry". He kept buffing off layers of the gel when he tried again.He tried out a different kind of holographic powder that worked & looked pretty. It was just ruined from all the times he buffed my nails. There were lines, holes and scratches visible & it just looked bad. He continued to try & retry, but eventually gave up because he couldn't get it to work. He asked me if there was anything else I wanted and I said yes, the sheer/clear color I wanted initially. He kept refusing to use that color because it had "no color" I'm aware and know what I wanted. He made me choose an opaque color. If you're not going to use a color that a customer wants, don't have it as an option! In the end, my nails were streaky, lumpy, and messy from the previous attempts of the gel before. DO NOT GET ANYTHING DONE HERE!!! BAD SERVICE!!! NOT CLEAN!!!! DOES NOT SANITIZE!!! DISGUSTING TREATMENT!!! On Sunday my friends and I decided to go get our nails done before our trip to L.A. and got an appointment to get our nails done. WORST BEAUTY MISTAKE EVER! The guy that did my nails was the older man DO NOT GET THE OLDER MAN!!! I got a full set of acrylic nails with gel, first of all he never filed anything down on the acrylic nail, it turned out to look thick and chunky like I had glued down the square gum you get at the mall in the little machine for $.25. And to top that off I asked for square but this man did not know what a square was, he shaped them where the top was wider than the bed of my nails. Not only did he pressure me to get gel nails he also didn't do a lot of what the other nail technicians were doing like spraying alcohol, filing the inside of the nail so its not thick, and he also didn't give me clear instructions when to put my nails in and out of the LED thing so it wasn't fully dry. I didn't like the length but I didn't really like to bother him so I let it be. But as soon as I get home regret washed over me and the moment my friends saw them they made me call and schedule an appointment to get them fixed and they had agreed to do them for free. So my friends and I call separately to make a nail appointment (they hadn't gotten their nails done yet) and booked it at 4:00 p.m. the moment we walk in at four they tell us to wait two hours. TWO HOURS! So my friend went to the other nails salon in the mall while I had to explain my dissatisfaction , they were not cooperating so I demanded a refund and refused that as well. With quite the fit I had gotten them fixed and elongate, the workers also talk about you and are quite loud when they are doing your nails which is uncomfortable. Always have a great experience here. I usually only have Kevin do my nails (full set), he's very quick and gets the job done. As long as you're specific enough about what you want, you should be good! Kevin NEVER disappoints me, my nails are either EXACTLY how I want them, or even better than I expected. As far as the prices, they're pretty reasonable. On the negative side, my cousin had a bad experience with some other workers who did her manicure. She said she bled twice from the drill. If you get a full set done, I would HIGHLY recommend requesting Kevin to do them.. Or any of the men who work there. (P.S) My full sets stay on for a whole month!! Read Less

Came here with my sister and little cousin. We were going to get 2 pedis & one full set. The ladies that helped us with our pedis were extremely pushy in trying us to get extra services. We told them we just wanted the regular $18 pedi. They kept asking us if we want to do the bottom of our feet or get a higher package deal. We told them no just the regular plenty of times until finally we got fed up & started getting upset. They noticed we got upset and finally didn't ask anymore. I understand they want to up sell but there is a limit when they should just stop. & they were rubbing the hot rocks on my sisters legs when they were dry, they usually put lotion or gel on the rocks to rub on the skin smoother. our nails came out pretty decent so I can't complain about that. New to the city and decided to try this salon to get my eyelash extensions done . First mess up was putting me in the same room with a client that was getting the same service. Second the lady had me sit face to face with her as she started on my lashes. Since my eyes were closed I had no idea what she was using. Once I opened my eyes. Omg gross! No gloves,same tweezers she used on the other client, the glue was just squirted on a marbled rock. Nothing was sanitized. She didn't wash her hands after touching my eyes. She simply gave me a mirror to look and said $28.00 I stood up in aww.lashes looked good but she didn't explain how to take care of them or when I should come back. March 25th my sister and I had went here to get a mani pedi. The lady that was doing mine consistently kept asking me to get the expensive pedi, I kept telling her no and she still kept asking  [irritating much]. They never have good color choices and when you do have the color pallet it seems like someone is wanting to take it from you for the next customer. Then she moves onto my mani which I did like up until yesterday... my gel mani was lifting my nails were breaking. I get the gel mani because it strengthens my real nails, this tome NO. I'm really upset that my manicure lasted me a WEEK when they normally last me 3 before they looked terrible.  A lot of people are telling me to go back and get my money back but let's face it....the only thing they MIGHT offer is a new set which I don't care to even go back to this place. I came to this spa because I was given a gift certificate. I was excited to go get a mani and pedi with my certificate and just pay the differential. I ended up leaving really disappointed and heated for the following reasons:1. The lady, Susan, was too aggressive in her services pressuring me to get design on my hands and to gel on my toes (when I wanted the standard nail polish. Just to get her to stop harassing me, I agreed. She then kept telling me over and over to call next time for her when I needed a mani and pedi.2. Her work was rushed and sloppy. 3. When I went to pay, I showed her my gift certificate and she went back to verify whoever was in charge of that shift. She got the approval and then subtracted the differental from the outrageous $70 fee. With the certificate it was a decent price. But when she swipes my debit card, she charges me $70. I asked why she didn't include the subtraction of ther certificate. She looks at me and gives me back the certificate and says "come back and use next time...see me." Really now?!?! By law you are supposed to redeem certificates of gift cards when customer provides them and they are not expired. I insisted I want to use my certificate as that was the whole reason why I came and got services in the first place. And again she kept saying come back, come back. NO SUSAN... I am not coming back. I started getting heated so the other lady working just asked her to give me cash value.Seriously? If you want to build rapport anc have customers become regulars and come back... Be polite and stop trying to scam them saying to use gift certificate for "next time." I am never coming back and I suggest you do not come to this place unless you want to waste your time and money. Do not go here! Had time to spare, so why not get my acrylics removed? Here's why: dude ripped it off to the point it bled. He didn't apologize nor did he have ointment/bandaid to spare. It didn't hurt when he ripped it off... it just started to hurt when I saw all the blood. No wonder he was like "oohhhh did I hurt you?".. I really hope this doesn't get infected. This place is so crummy, I hate it with a passion! I have literally walked out of the salon while I was getting a fill. The older lady with short dark hair is horrible!! I asked for my tips to be done longer because all nail salons tend to make the white acurlyic tips short. This shows my real nail underneath nails pretty fast. Well this lady kept refusing to do it saying its ugly, and would not look good. I was floored that she wouldn't do it, I kept repeating myself thinking that she didnt understand. I was fed up so I said stop since you can't do what I want I refuse to pay for anything here. I talked to the manager to let him know the situation and that I was pissed. He advised I could leave without paying. Thank heavens because I would have blow my lid. This Modern Nail place at West Valley Mall in Tracy SUUUCKKKS!!!!!Dont ever go here they will ruin ur nails just like they did to my mom they ruined her toe nail. Half of her toe nail is rotten and is falling apart, my mom went back to show them what they had done and they said they werent responsible for that.
