Ask for Cori! I followed her to Jamie's from another salon and I will continue going to her for a long time. She is the best at cuts, very meticulous, and your hair will look perfect when she's done. I go to her for a color weave and trim every few weeks and I'm always super happy walking out the door. She's also great at matching my energy when I'm there; sometimes we have a great time talking and laughing, other times I can just close my eyes and relax if I'm tired. A friend of mine referred me to here so I called after work and an answering machine picked up saying they weren't available and to call another number that the message provided, so I did. Unfortunately the woman who answered was very rude and condescending. She said she wasn't a hair stylist although I asked if a manicurist had any availability. She added that everyone was gone which was fine but after hearing "so I can't help you" I was upset. A simple "Could I have someone return your call?" would have sufficed. Instead I got a rude response about how I reached some sort of personal line. Let's face it, there are SO many salons and Spas in this area and I did not call to schedule terrible customer service. She was a horrendous example for this establishment. As upset as I was I simply said it was okay and that I would find another salon. I had such high hopes in finding a new and closer location to have my hair and nails done that the phone call just left me very disappointed, especially because my very good friend referred me. I made an appointment for Jan with A friend to lighten my black hair I wanted to go smokey lavender and she told me she could do it. I told her I only had 3 hours for this appointment. She told me no problem and she immediately started to lighten by hair with bleach, my roots took right away but because I used box color for many years she had to add more bleach. The end results was not what I expected and because she over processed my hair with bleach I lost so much hair and I had a beautiful head of hair. Never was I informed of the danger of over processing using bleach. Ultimately I didn't get the end results of smokey lavender I got some like metallic reddish blonde. My hair is badly damaged and underneath the top layer I have hair as if I asked for an inverted bob NOT. The process took 8 hours but mind you I paid full price for this jacked up process. I was recommend to Chelsea by my roommate specifically for coloring and was not disappointed! Chelsea uses some of the best products to keep your hair healthy while still achieving the look you want. She did two color correcting treatments prior to lightening and toning my hair to reduce the risk of damage. It took quite a few hours but she was able to get my hair from brown to blonde in one day. I came here out on a whim because my hair stylist was extremely booked and I needed my hair done stat. Booked an appointment with Tracy -- trusted her because my friend's hair looked great. My dark brown, almost black, roots were grown out with my blonde balyage. I asked for my hair to be fixed back to my yellow blonde and to take the color up to my roots. She began by highlighting my whole head. She put bleach over my roots without even dying them first. How are you going to bleach my blonde balyage and bleach my BROWN ALMOST BLACK ROOTS and expect for my hair to look ok?I sat in the dryer as she took 20-25 min to cut another customer's hair...... MY SCALP LITERALLY TURNED RED because it was burning and I was under so long. It was so hot I lifted the dryer and just sat there as she cut another customer's hair because I could not take it.I color my hair all the time, I know how much time goes into it, especially going blonde. I had been there nearly 4 hours. When she finally washed me she had to tone it. It was extremely, extremely light at the top but after toning it didn't look too bad. I was in a rush to go somewhere that evening so I had to leave.When I got home I looked in my bathroom lighting and I was furious at what I saw. In some views the root of my head looked white, even GREEN. I combed my hair back and also saw that the highlights were so sloppy and did not even start at the root. In fact they were completely crooked and it was noticeable.I politely asked Tracy what I should do because my roots were not looking right at all. She told me it was probably the toner and to try washing it a few times -- that if it didn't change after a few days to come back so she could fix it. Mind you, it was the day before New Year's Eve. Does it look like I have a few days to have hair like this???I was so disappointed. Also to find that there was extreme, EXTREME breakage done to my hair. I've had TONS of bleach put in my hair professionally and it was never until this past time that my hair looks and feels the way it does -- like straw. I had to go back to my girl and have it toned. Vanessa Meyers is amazing...I have naturally curly dark brown hair...I have been getting it straightened for years (Yuko Systems)...my hair tends to grab onto color...making it almost black so I decided to get highlights a year ago...after a few times my hair started to break off...it was horrible...Vanessa took the time to research the straightening product and found that the highlights were destroying my hair! Vanessa has completely turned my hair around, it is back to being long, healthy, shinny...I couldn't be happier!!! And she is the 1st hairstylist I've had that can color my hair without turning it black!!!
