I always have a great experience here. Yesterday I called last minute and they said they could take me. I did end up waiting about 20-30 minutes and I unfortunately had to leave because I had to pick up my son at daycare. I was very understanding and assured them it was totally fine.. and I'd be back. This is the only place I go because I'm a hairstylist and my acrylics never stay on! The owner gave me a gift card for waiting anyways. They are so efficient and very thoughtful. My step daughter took me to get my nails done for my birthday, she got hers done too. They were nice and stayed late to finish our nails. You could tell they were rushing and wanted to leave. But my step daughter made an appointment several days in advance so that was not our fault they over booked. My step daughter wanted a sunflower design, she got the most sad and pathetic sunflower ever. We had them remove it so no picture sorry. They were kinda upset because they just assumed I wanted painted nails like she got, but I wanted pink and white. It was all ok though until leaving. He did the gel and I put them under the light. He then put cuticle oil on. I asked if it needed to dry more and he said it's all totally dry. So we left, and I was looking for my keys and felt sticky. My nails were completely sticky. I sat in the car with heater on for 20 mins and they're still sticky. They're still sticky as I'm writing this 45 mins later and they now are totally messed up and I need to go home and re do a top coat. Taking off the design I got, and over paid for. So over all, I'm pretty annoyed. They were nice, but I'm too annoyed I won't go back. Read Less

I've been to countless amounts of nail salons in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park area and I've never loved a salon as much as this one. Pros: Very friendly salon. I started going to Mai as a walk-in. She's very quick, knows how to cut long layers very well. I never have to wait, she's always on time. The salon also offers other services which is convenient. Cons: I colored my hair twice with her and she did an average job, not really following the picture I presented. So that was the disappointment for me. She did try and seemed to be comfortable. Lastly, the salon is outdated. It doesn't bother me so much but if you prefer a fancy salon, not the place for you. So my husband has never been to a nail salon before so I took him with me.The owner, I think, was really nice. She asked me to pick out a couple nail colors while we waited. In about 2-3 mins, this lady named Kristy came to greet us and sat us down. Kristy was assigned to my husband and I got this guy named Paul. They both were really nice don't get me wrong but Paul seemed to be talking a little TOO much! I didn't say anything, grabbed a magazine, and started to read but he didn't get the signal that I wasn't interested in talking. I think will all his talking he lost attention on what was he doing. He forgot to scrub my left foot, forgot to wipe off the oily lotion on my arms and legs, and painted my nails unevenly. Everything was a mess! I was really unhappy about it and kept asking him to fix it but it made it even worse! Never let Paul do you nails. When I got home, all I wanted to do was wipe off the lotion and remove all my nails colors. Ladies, you know, can you tell how bad it is? After 2 days I was still mad and regret going there. P.S. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Friendly, not pushy, all the women are great. Gwen does an amazing job. She can do anything and everything you request on your nails. My acrylics last 3-4 weeks until I have to get a fill and they NEVER lift or fall off. Lu Lu also does my hair and she is awesome. I will be trying a facial soon. LOVE this place, thumbs up! Oh my god. The facial I got here was soo relaxing and thourough. This is my fourth visit and I have had a great experience everytime. The ladies here are nice and welcoming. Gwen, Anna, Kristi and Kalin are the best in the biz. I strayed from my girls because I could not find them after they left ProfessionaNail in Newbury Park. But a friend told me they relocated. What I love about them is that  they are honest and don't try to upsell you every single service from lip, eyebrow, deluxe pedicure, callous, flower, gels, arcylic....I found this happens at EVERY other nail salon and you are treated like cattle. Not at Casablanca. They have espresso, waters, coffee, and guess what? They know you BY NAME!Also, they are gracious and appreciative. I went to another salon with a coupon before finding Casablanca and the girl gave me change for $10 (2 fives) and scoffed beause I told her I needed $1's for her tip. I think 18-20% is fine for a polish change!? I went to another salon a few months prior and they charged my card TWICE and when I went back, they disputed! I paid double for a manicure because the girl said the "card didn't go through!"  Don't take your chances and go somewhere other than Casablanca. I am glad I found them again!NO ONE COMPARES TO CASABLANCA SALON and I will refer them over and over again! Keep up the great work ladies! I will never stray again! Read Less
