This is by far one of the WORST nail salons I have ever been to, first of all they don't take no for an answer they know what you need. I spent $50 on a shellac manicure with no manicure she just shaved my finger nails and the pedicure was the worst I've ever had. The water was cold, The was no washing the feet or using a pumice stone. The kicker was they have no respect for a persons belongings. I have given it 4 chances but this was the worst. The biggest turn off here is the pedicure basins are not lined and the tools are not sterilized. For that reason alone I will not go back.  The woman opened up her little plastic case, pulled out her utensils, took care of my cuticles etc., and put everything back in the case ready for use on the next person.  The day I went it was pretty hot and the salon does not have air conditioning so it was clear that the staff were hot and tired.  It totally showed in my manicure especially.   The nails were not shaped evenly.  I chose a gel color which did not come out on my nails at all what it looked on the model. I explained that I didn't like the color yet she continued to put it on my nails. I went yesterday because I didn't want to drive to my usual salon. The place is nice and the staff (forgot to ask for the lady's name) is nice. The place looks nice and clean. Pedicure went pretty fast, faster than usual IMO. I would've given them 4 stars but I think the price was a bit higher than usual (I have 2 go to nail salons) $30 for a basic pedi, with a massage, but nothing else, other places I go have hot stone massage (included in the price) and they cover their chair spa area with plastic (love it when they do that!) for $25 ($30 if I want French pedi or gel). Also a big turn off was that the foamy toe separators they used to paint my nails weren't thrown away in the trash, instead they were "saved" in a drawer... ummm so I'm guessing they re use them? Be careful when you go here. The girl who manages the place rushes and is very rough. She cut my cuticle too deeply and I bled everywhere. She acted as though this is normal. Since this place is close by, I thought I would give it another chance, but again, she rushed, was rough, but didn't get cut. However, the cuticle on one finger was never trimmed correctly and it grew back in about 2 days plus the skin around it got painfully infected and swelled up. I won't be back anymore. Some of the women are good, but watch out for the one who looks like the manager or owner of the place. She is just too rough and in rushing, she can cut you. This place has potential:  great location, plenty of parking but short on other skills.I came in with beautiful long nails.  Asked for them to be trimmed lightly and rounded.  I ended up with squared, shaped nails, then super short nails after she reshaped them. If you don't want to serve Groupon customers, then don't sell on Groupon!I had the worst cuticle cut of my life, besides two bleeding fingers in pain, the edges are not even at all. I've been going to Nail Galleria for the past nine yrs., & happy I found them. Jenny is my nail lady & does an excellent job each & every time. I've seen people come in expecting an appointment right then & if they can't, people get upset or impatient. Worst customer service EVER!  I just called to make an appointment for a gel mani and pedi that I purchased from Groupon. Was excited hoping to get it done and was told the latest appointment they take is 4PM. Given that I work till 5:30PM, I asked for a Saturday or Sunday that's available. Instead of helping me out. She starts talking to me very loudly and keeps telling me there is someone on the other line and to call back when I make up my mind. How can I schedule an appointment without her telling me which slots are available. That's her part of the job, so even if I made up my mind and said noon. This was my second visit. As always they push to sell you more. Pretty standard but the lady insisted on pedi, which I told her no. Then she really pushed for gel, even thoughI bought my own nail polish for a wedding I'm in. Insisted I switch to gel. I had to put my foot down. Then she asked if I wanted sprinkles...ugh. Bought a groupon, when I called to make an appointment they asked if I had a groupon and then said they couldn't see me Friday Saturday or Sunday because they were all booked with reservations...Staff wasn't very friendly during my visit. DO NOT BUY A GROUPON FOR THIS PLACE! They are very rude about groupon customers. They shouldn't be participating in groupon if they are just going to tell customers they don't have appointment available or won't accommodate two people who have a groupon. I called this place to book an appointment for my friend and I on a Tuesday at 5pm, usually Tuesday's are not a busy day for nail salons it shouldn't have been an issue yet the lady kept asking questions to see if it was for a groupon immediately told me not to get groupon and when I started to tell her that if she doesn't honor it then why participate she hung up on me! Mai the owner is delightful and friendly. She'll be your BFF during the time you're here. Yay for that!The space is clean and the selection of gel colors is *AMAZING* (for instance, I wanted a lightish white with a barely pink tinge at my last nail place but they only had light pink or "White Out" white. Here, they have light colors with every shade variation it seems). I'm really particular about my nail salons. I have tried about 5 in the area in the past and have not been impressed. This place is really clean. It feels spa like and the equipment is new, sterile and comfortable. I love that they can paint flowers and do nail art (never had had done, next time I will). The prices are the same & pretty standard for gel $30 gel manicure, $45 gel deluxe pedicure. She takes credit and debit cards. I highly recommend you try Nail Galleria! Horrible service, extremely rude and if you mention you have a Groupon they do not schedule an appointment for you soon and look for several excuses to not see you. The minute I called and stated I had a Groupon they gave me several excuses saying they were completely booked. I tried this place for the first time today, on a whim. I am SO happy I did. Lily is AMAZING. I got a gel fill, I've honestly never had my nails done this well before.  She's VERY meticulous and detail oriented. My nails are narrow (not super wide or thick, i.e. fake looking) and shaped to perfection. I take mine super square because I type so much, and Lily filed them totally evenly and narrowed just a bit. My photo doesn't do them justice, they are so pretty. Lily is my new nail tech, sorry Tip & Toe in SJ, Lilly stole me away.Be aware you should make an appointment, I didn't have one and had to wait 35 min, but that's on me for just walking in. I was charged $35 for a gel fill, which to me is really reasonable as Lily took such great care with each step. She's also REALLY funny and had me laughing several times.I understand people complain about prices, but getting a great fill is worth every penny and I'd rather pay $35 or a fill that looks amazing and lasts longer than a $20 job.  As far as the comments about the staff being rude, I didn't see it, but that happens everywhere. I nicknamed Tip & Toe in SJ "Bitch Nails" because the owners are so rude, but I kept going because the techs were really good. Buyer beware....prices are not posted....The prices have gone up by double or more...why pay Spa prices for a strip mall place?  Pedicure used to be $25..last time I was charged $60.00 for a regular Pedicure not gel...and I brought my own polish.  Asked if I wanted oil and salt scrub and i said No not today...girl did it anyway. When the girl told me the price I said Wow have your prices gone up.  She said the rent went up and instead of moving they decided to stay convenient for the "old ladies" and raise the prices instead. This is my nail salon go to! I know all the ladies there by name and they treat me like family! I came back after I had went to another nail shop and they fixed my nails for me! Lily is so great! She really knows a lot about nails and taught me a lot. On top of that, she provided excellent service and took me in under short notice! I bought the Groupon for the gel manicure. Like other people had mentioned, they failed to tell you that there is a seven dollar charge to remove gel. They didn't mention it until they had filed down my manicure, so I had no choice but to pay it. They should expect that people coming in may have gel manicures, so that information should definitely be added to the Groupon. When I arrived I was one of two people there, so I was seen right away. There were four employees working. Someone walked in for eyebrow waxing, and pulled the girl that was doing my manicure, and had her go to do this lady's eyebrows. I ended up sitting there for 10 minutes while I waited for her and watched these other unoccupied employees do nothing. Finally another employee came over and worked on my nails until this lady came back. They did a decent job on my nails, but they weren't organized well, and I didn't appreciate that they weren't forthcoming about the seven dollar additional charge to remove the gel. We found this place on Groupon and came in for gel manicures. We had appointments, but still had to wait before they were ready for us. It's a $7 additional charge to remove gel nail polish (they raised the price since the post on 3/31/16). While scraping off the old polish, the technician was far too aggressive and made the experience uncomfortable. During the painting process, the UV lights were way too hot adding to the discomfort.The manicures looked okay when we were in the salon, but after leaving I noticed (1) that I could see spots of my old polish coming through the new color, (2) they didn't put enough coats on my nails, so I can see through the paint, (3) additionally, they started to look discolored after 3 days. My friend's nails have tiny bubbles in the paint and she ended up with a black spot on her pink nails.Very disappointed. Going to another salon to fix this mess.Will not recommend and will not return. Read Less

Wo, I love Nail Galleria! After visiting many mani/pedi spa places on the Peninsula this is my favorite. The people are REALLY nice and friendly, the service is excellent, the store is very clean, and I leave feeling so relaxed and refreshed. It's not a fancy place, but it has everything I need. Since they take a lot of walk ins I recommend calling first to give them a heads up and avoid having to wait. Read Less
