I have sat on the writing of this review for nearly a week and despite rarely posting on yelp, I have been resurrected & strongly compelled to come out of retirement to roast this place.Let me start by saying, I have been here a few times. Majority of the time I have come here (roughly 2 MAYBE 3 times) was because of the convenience of location. I work down the street and as a social adult , my life is busy. If I can come during lunch and save the trouble of going after work..Why not? When I have free time I go to my favorite QUALITY nail location in which you walk in, they listen to what you want, they are kind and give you an all around great experience. Not the case here at instant nails. In fact they do the opposite.I went to get my nails done last Thursday. I got a regular pedicure along with a set of gel french tip, coffin shaped nails. The entire time, I was being up sold. All I wanted to do was be pampered. Here I am having to swat off the sales team left and right. I stated what I had wanted when I sat down , hoping to enjoy the massage chair, but no. I was damn near forced to get gel on my toes.. I didn't want that. I was able to stick to my guns. Now generally with a pedicure you get the full deal and extra would be the paraffin(sp?) treatment, callus removal, etc. I was charged extra for my cuticles. On top of just being bombarded it turns worse.As I clarified I wanted my nails done with a full set of gel, french manicure. Upon being asked what shape I wanted, I was informed it would be an extra $5 for her to do a coffin shaped nail. ( I have never in my 31 years of existence had to pay extra to get my nail shaped changed). Now as Im getting my nails done, I noticed that my toe had missed part of the paint job ( I did not hit my toe) so I bring it to their attention and they were not happy. After getting it touched up... the tone of treatment went from bad to worse. Finish my nails..go to pay.. I am charged for this $70 bucks. Insane.. Now after just not having a decent experience it is now thursday (actually an exact week) one of my nails has fallen off, I already need a fill and majority of my toes have chipped. I wore open toe shoes and was not kicking cement walls. Trust me the job was just bad. I will never come back here. Hate is just not enough you're a fraud liar and think you smart but you can't fool everybody. I asked for a service but he couldn't do it. I wanted gel nails they decided to do acrylic nails. I asked for it 3 FREAKING TIME can't say I wasn't clear, when I called when I arrived snd before he started I confirmed with the person who did my nails then called the owner he came to me and firmly said HE DIDN'T DO ACRYLIC AT ALL AT HIS PLACE, so either some of y'all have been getting... great quality paying for acrylic but getting GEL or he has been lying for a little while. From that moment he kept running around me I took pictures of my nails he panicked a little bit the person who did my nails left befote my nails were dry I was alone with the owner at the moment to pay snd told him I won't pay anything more then acrylic nails full set that's it. Should've known better of course he took it and did an okay job for trying to fooling. I got my wife a gift certificate for her birthday. This was her first time getting her nails done at this shop. She loved it. Not only did she love the nice job the lady did on her nails but the staff was very friendly. Rose is the lady that did her nails. She was a walk in and at 1pm on a Tuesday there was no wait. About 2 other customers in the shop. A bit expensive at 40 dollars for a new set but my wife said it was worth the money. So thank God my wife was happy because she can be a bit picky. I got my feet done there 5 days ago and the girl working there was rushing to get my feet done and being rude and even do at the end the feet looked good that what I thought but then 5 days later the nail polish starts to chip off my feet I always get my nails done and it last for weeks but this time after 5 days it started to chip off and I call them on the phone to say what happened cause was being rude then closed the phone in my face never going there ever agian they lost loyal customer Read Less

I walked into the nail shop and it was pretty spacious and the smell wasn't overwhelming. I got a walk in appointment within 10 minutes. Tina was the person who did my nails. She did a great job! I'm super picky with my nails and she met my expectations. The reason I wouldn't give this place five stars is because the other workers seem tense and unfriendly and the color range is not as wide as some other places I've been too. Omg this place was not pleasant! I had to go because I was short on time and had work to go to. First of all, they kept telling me to get a mani/pedi since it'll make my nails look better. Saying it once is fine, but they kept saying it over and over again. I know it will look better but I was just doing color change because I was short on time, and I told them that like 10 times. The lady who did my toes was rushing because there was another client that was doing a full set. Just because I'm not doing a full set, does not mean you should rush me, I'm still going to tip you well -_-. She painted my nails outside the lines and used acetone to correct it, and it was still messy and all over my skin. She was rude as well. Made me feel like I was burden. Hello! I'm a paying customer -_-. As for my nails, although she is a nice person. She also painted outside my nails and on my skin and used acetone to correct it. Came to get my first set of nails ever and fell in love. Thanks to Helen for making them look natural as possible and giving me the exact shape and length I wanted. I showed her a pic of how I wanted them to look like and she helped me recreate my own. I paid $38 which isn't too bad and she finished in less than an hour. Thanks Helen, I'll be coming back soon! DOOO NOT GO HERE! Worst experience of my life. I asked for something super simple as fixing ONE Nail that was broken and a change of color and they charged my like a new set when the lady only fixed ONE nail and changed the nail polish color. I have never been so aggravated about any nail place, unfortunately my nail place is closed Sunday so this was my only option because I had an event the next day. DO NOT GO HERE, i wouldnt even take a rabid dog yo this place....I thought if i continued to go there i would eventually find someone who knew what they were doing.... After going more than a handful of times i finally realized that they ALL suck! I had a great nail job while i was out of town. Came back needing a fix and refill. Sooo ..I went in with my best friend to get her nails done around evening time. It was a little busy, but they had a sign saying "Walk-ins welcome." We waited about almost 10 minutes.The lady I got was the same lady my best friend always goes to. I wanted to just get a regular manicure ($10), but she insisted on me getting gel since it does last longer even though I politely refused. Since she kept asking I said why not, so I got the gel nails.She did a good job on my nails! I got the exact shape I wanted and she did not mess up at all. In your most desperate of times, when life presents you with a choice between going to your meeting with chipped, cracked nails or coming to this salon, GO TO YOUR MEETING. From the minute I walked in, I got a horrible vibe and pretty much the rest of the mani/pedi experience went the same way. Where do I begin. The place is pretty dingy and their service so unprofessional, I almost laughed when the lady charged me $30. $20 ok, I'd get it. $30 + tip? NO. Before the mani even began, the person doing my nails started badgering me about getting the gel nail polish that stays on for a long time. I politely refused and finally said, "it is bad for my nails" and she rudely said "NO, it's not. You should get it, stay longer." She was clearly an amateur at painting nails and left bubbles in my polish and a few scratch marks. The woman doing my pedi messed up my nail by cutting it unevenly, then proceeded to PAINT MY SKIN with nail polish to cover it up. ARE YOU KIDDING ME.  See pictures. Horrible experience.
