There is nothing "Spa" about this place.  If I wanted to be around a frumpy man (manger/owner) who sits back, puts his feet up, burp, read the newspaper as he watches loud t.v., I would have stayed home with my husband and did my own pedicure.  It probably would have turned out better.  The place was messy, my pedicure was rushed, and she did not remove dead skin from my feet and I paid for the spa pedicure price - $20.  In addition, they didn't even offer me to sit and let my nail polish dry. This has got to be the worst place I've ever been to get my nails done. I came in through the door I wasn't even greeted &I waited for an hour & on top of that there was a guy who worked there & was just sitting there & he wasn't even doing anything & then after waiting for so long he said he would do my nails so while he was doing my nails he threw my hands to the side whenever he was done & he slapped it a few times when I would look at my nails & then when he was done he pushed my hands away, this is the first time I've ever been here & it was such a bad first experience. Not once have I ever been treated so badly at a nail salon & I usually tip people even when I don't like the job but this one for sure didn't get a tip, terrible service. I came here the other day in search of a nice clean nail salon for a pedicure. I came here based on Yelp reviews and they are right on point. This place is nice, clean, and the staff is friendly. I have been going here for a couple years now and I have even brought out of town relatives here and everyone loves it here! The service is great here and they have a large selection of regular and gel polishes! They are extremely accommodating and tom and his wife who own the place are so kind! Terrible experience :( they used a bulky nail file to buff my toe nails. When they filed my finger nails, they ended up causing a burn like abrasion. They laughed when I told them, and kept saying several times in English "sensitive" intermixed with Vietnamese to express that I was being sensitive. Then when they saw the red open skin, stated my skin was dry. I was taken aback and I ended up leaving; I was forced to pay for the full manicure. I walked a block or two to pink nails on fair oaks instead to finish up my nails and the staff there looked at  the abrasion and said they would do a good job. I really liked the ambiance. The woman who worked on my pedicure did a very nice job but the woman who worked on my hands was a little rough with my cuticles. One of my fingers was pretty beaten up by her. She made up with this by making sure the polish was very well done. She even redid one of the fingers she had accidentally smudged without an excuse. I went around 3pm on a Friday and the place wasn't very busy and I was immediately worked on. I'll be back to this salon. They did a great job on my nails. I'll just be sure to speak up about the cuticle issues in the future. Also their prices are not too bad either $35 for the manicure and spa pedicure. To be fair, the pedicure I got here was great. But the quality of the manicure is horrendous. My nails looked better coming in than when I left. She cut and filed my nails but they are jagged and uneven. The polish is streaky and she didn't even clean under my nails so there is old polish underneath. Gross! So I recently moved to Alhambra and am looking for a new mani pedi place. Decided to try this place out and I must say the place is very nice and clean they have a really good variety of colors which I loved. The service was and A+ Thomas did a great job with my French tip manicure however I was very disappointed with my pedicure. My toe nails have a square shape to them naturally and the woman cut my nails way to short and made them round at the edge, she didn't quiet clean the edges I had to come home and still remove some of the dead skin\ cuticle, my nail polish ended up with bubbles, luckily I caught it and Thomas fixed them however I was still very unsatisfied with the pedicure  I will probably try this place one more time with a different girl but by the other reviews below I will prob only be returning for my manicure. I have been going here for the past few months and waited to give this review until now. Thomas & Christina are the owners and they both do a great job. Thomas does the best french tip acrylic / gel manicure I have ever had and Christina does a great job on my french tip pedicure.  I've gone to ALOT of fancy expensive salons over the years and this one is my favorite. Not only because they do a good job but their prices are reasonable and they are both super nice and funny too! I recommend to not go when they are super busy because that will affect the quality of the end result, so I call ahead and ask when is a good time to come in. Read Less

Serenity Nail is the BEST salon in So Pas!!  I have been coming here since they opened a few years ago and they do an awesome job...and they're all so nice and friendly!!I get a spa pedi and gel manicure usually...The gels always last a full 2 weeks..and they are really helpful about helping you pick a good color.Can't say enough good things about these guys - Thomas is a pro with the gels! This is a gem tucked away in the friendly neighborhood of South Pas! They get two stars for being super clean and super friendly. I feel bad leaving this review because everyone was sooo nice. But my nails are such a disaster.For the pedicure we established that I wanted them short. So she cut them down to the nail bed! Too short! Which, it could be argued, was a lack of communication on my part, except she must have thought they were too short as well because she proceeded to get paint all over my toes and then not remove most of it. It's like she was trying to create the illusion of longer toenails by leaving paint on my skin?? Or maybe she's just sloppy? Enh.I also got a full set of acrylics. I love the color, the guy who did them picked it out when I couldn't find one I liked and it looks great. But the color is all that looks great. The length and roundness are totally variable. The acrylic is painted over every single of my cuticles because he didn't do any cuticle maintenance beforehand? They weren't too long but I'm worried about the acrylic pulling back now. The acrylic is also attached to my skin everywhere. My nails were super short (I'm a biter) so I understand that in certain areas that would be hard to avoid, but on the sides of my nails should not be one of those areas. So I went to this place because it is literally one block away from my house. I've been there before for waxing and a pedicure. I would never get waxed again because I had literally so many ingrown hairs afterwards. I went yesterday for a gel manicure. I could have done way better myself. It is so sloppy. Service is very nice but quality of their waxed services weren't very nice =TI came in for a lower leg wax ($25) yesterday but on the spur of the moment, decided to get a full leg wax ($45).  I really shouldn't have changed my mind =T  Though she was very nice, most of my top leg hair was broken off.  And feeling my lower legs today, it seems like it's the same story for my lower legs =T  In fact, it feels like I should've just shaved because the hairs are much longer today after waxing than they would've been if I had shaved...*SIGHS*  And the hunt continues... The first time I came here I was happy with my nails and also with the customer service.  I came here again with my daughter to get another Spa Mani and Pedi. While waiting, I noticed I didn't have good reception on my phone but I'm glad they provide free WiFi (if you want to use it, ask the staff for the password).  When we were next, Jennie told us where to sit.  Jennie is kind, she gave my daughter pillows and turned on the massage chair for her.I was glad that Christina was going to do my daughter's nails because she treats her like a princess.  Christina also added sparkles to her nails too!  My little one was very happy when her nails were done (yelp.com/user_local_phot…).  Thomas did my spa manicure, he is funny and nice.  Donna did my spa pedicure and I paid $10 extra ( $1 a minute) to get 10 minutes of foot massage.  Her massage was very relaxing, I was tempted for more. Donna also showed me a timer so I know when the 10 minutes was over.
