Do not go here. 9:00am is not the opening time. That is when the owner "cleans the area."  The sign on the door says 9:30, but the owner told me they can't see anyone until 5:00. Walk-ins are not welcome. I showed up at 9:00am and she said she could not see and literally pushed me out of the door. She told me to walk down the interstate to a nearby nail salon. Go to Maxwell nails. They are so nice, friendly and they do a superb job!! They even saw us 15 minutes before they were technically supposed to be open. Ive always had a great experience here. Super friendly and they do a great job. I have acrylic nails and they stay on usually 3 weeks before i need a fill in. Anywhere else ive gone the longest i can go is 2 weeks TOPS... Not here. Ive also gotten pedicure and they do such a good job. I would totally recommend this place! Read Less

This place is awful.  The staff is rude and makes major mistakes, and not willing to correct them.  I had a pedi which I was cut and bled..Another time, they wiped against the polish, leaving it ugly and bumpy.. The woman was angry that I wanted it redone.  Also, they are not up to cleanliness standards.. I had to ask the employee to wash the basin.Terrible business...Go elsewhere!!!!! Read Less

I just recently moved to Sonoma and i had a bit of trouble finding a new nail place. I drove around town all day trying to get in somewhere and most places only take cash, or they don't do acrylics, or they don't do gel, something different at every place. It was so funky to me! I came across Sonoma nails which does everything and accepts both cash and card, so I called ahead of time in the morning (before I went driving around town) and they said they were super busy and could fit me in tomorrow. I would have been completely okay with that but I had an interview the next day! So that's when I went on a hunt to just get in somewhere-- no luck whatsoever and I went to about 4 other places.. I popped back into Sonoma nails just to see if they had any time to squeeze me in, hoping something came up but no luck. I told the lady about my interview and how I didn't want to drive to Napa just for nails so she took my information and said she'd call me if she could fit me in. 45 minutes later calls asking if I found another place which I replied with no and she asks me to come in. I realize when the other ladies start packing up she scheduled me knowing she would be working way passed close. I thought that was the sweetest thing ever.. Knowing she didn't HAVE to by any means! It made my heart feel all fuzzy! Not to mention my nails looked BEAUTIFUL. She really took her time on them, she wasn't just trying to get me out of there, which I appreciate sooo much. Now I bring my bestfriend with me and we get our nails done together! She lives in Napa but likes this place so much it's worth the drive for her :) My only advice would be to call ahead of time! They only have 4 nail chairs and I believe 4 pedi chairs, it's a tiny shop but they do an excellent job. My lady's name is Kim, she's amazing! I definitely recommend this place. Nancy is great and works wonders on both acrylic and damaged natural nails!! Although, If you're unable to be seen by her the results vary, can be questionable, and at times... catastrophic!  I suggest you think twice unless youve seen work by your available tech first! Read Less

Have you ever been to a salon that has only 1/3 of the gelish colors that they actually have displayed? Well this is the place!!! Well after 8 attempts to get a certain colors,  I asked 8 different times 8 different colors and did not have any!!! Seriously??!!!! i said screw this I'm getting regular polish!! Seriously what kind of nails salon is this? Lacks most gel colors that's they say they "have". Go spend your money where they actually have most of their gel colors in stock. Read Less

This place is great. Perfectly air conditioned on a 100 degree day (I went to two other salons that should have saunas) amazing customer service (got us in on 45 mins notice) and the pedicure was wonderful. I found my new spot in Sonoma. Read Less

Gel mani for $30. I was the last customer of the day and the massage happened at the end after nails were done for literally 15 seconds each on each hand. Is that normal? I will try other nail salons in town before I return. all in all I'm happy just happy to have my nails done! Read Less

I was given a gift certificate. Somehow it got lost in the shuffle.  Recently found it, and took it there, they would not honor it.  They would not budge and nor would they offer to make any adjustment.  So disappointed and will not return.  Honor gift certificates you sell, especially if they don't specify an experiential date on them. I have had pink and white acrylics for many years and the best work is from Sonoma Nails. Ann has done them, now, for quite a few years, to many compliments. while Ann was out ill, her daughter-in-law, Kim, started doing them for me. I am picky about my nails and they look fantastic. I have a pedicure about once a month, also, and have no complaints about their hygiene and the quality of the service performed. I'd never go anywhere else. Read Less

I hate to write such a bad review, but I have to say, I've never had such a bad experience at a nail salon! I had to walk out without polish on my nails!I've had acrylic nails for probably 15 years. Over the last three years I switched to gel (liquid not powder) and have been very happy with the strength and lack of any lifting. I recently relocated to Sonoma and was having a difficult time finding a salon that does liquid gel nails so was happy to find this spot. I went to Sonoma Nails and had a fill. Upon leaving, 3 nails broke within the hour! I went back the next day to have them fixed and we were nearing the end, 2 of the nails were so short they were below the tip of my finger. The manicurist had added an extended tip on only one of the three! When I politely said that was not okay, a few of the staff spoke among themselves (in a language I'm not fluent in) and then told me it was MY fault for not letting her know before hand that I wanted them longer.  Absolutely crazy! What's the point of have unnatural nails if they do not all match?! They told me I would have to come back in 2 weeks when they had grown out to fix them!!! While this was going on another customer came in (super angry) about her own broken nails within a few days of a fill. They tried to blame her telling her that she was too rough on them - "not their fault". So insane!!!I had to walk out. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE.  I can handle mistakes, but fix them! BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO HAVE A SPA PEDICURE!  Their manicure services are OK but I got an awful infection on e skin of my feet as well as a fungus under 2 of my Toenails.  The Spa Units are NOT sanitary.   Please avoid this Salon regarding your feet! Read Less

After seeing the good reviews on Yelp, I decided to try out Sonoma Nails. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi and they were ready for me at the appointed time. The pedi started out good enough, but then the guy started telling me how tired and overworked he was. He went on and on. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. And anyway, how do you respond?  Other people filed in with pre-set appts, who appeared to have wait 15 minutes or more to be seen. The mani was a disaster. He did it while I was in the pedi chair because there were no mani stations available. He cut the skin around my nails and it bled in two places. I asked for no polish but wanted a buff and he didn't do it. I didn't press for it because he just seemed incompetent. I used yelp to pick out this place! And it worked out quite well. Normally I get my nails done by Hannah at Devyn's in Vallejo when I have the time to treat myself.  This time I was in the market for somewhere a bit closer to home now that I live in Sonoma for those quick visits.Absolutely nothing bad to say about Devyn's but this is my new go to salon. I strolled in off the street without having called first. While they were busy they fit me in quickly and did (as another reviewer stated), meticulous work. I just switched over to rounded from the square tip and didn't realize how quickly they would become unmanageable for well... LIFE the moment they grew out a little. Nor was I aware what an ordeal the gel polish would be to change colors.I was pleasantly surprised at the amazing job, I believe it was Ann did, doing exactly what I asked and I feel improved my manicure all around. Love the shape she did for my fingers- still slightly pointed but with more gradual gentle rounding. I could probably have gotten a fill, but I was in a hurry and she painted them perfectly to conceal how close I am to needing one. Attention to detail like that wins me over quickly. I know I sound crazy going into so much detail but anyone who has ever struggled to find the 'perfect' nail job will understand. Read Less

This is the ONLY place to get your nails done in Sonoma,  I assure you. I've tried them all and I won't go anywhere else. I've been coming here twice a month for three years to get pink and white nails and a pedicure. Ann does the best pink and white you'll find anywhere and Kim does fabulous pedicures. My nails always look great. And if you ever have an ingrown toe nail,  Ann can remove it for you without spilling a drop of blood. I bet I'm their pickiest customer...and the most appreciative.
