I've been going to the same hairstylist for the last 25 years.  So, when I moved to Sonoma last year, my hair took a turn for the worse.  In search for a hairdresser that listens to what it is that you want, I came upon Monica at Cheveux Salon.  To say that she is a magician with color is an understatement.  She moves her brush like a master painter and the results are natural and stunning.  Also, I have long thick hair which is difficult to cut correctly.  She rocked that as well.  I'm glad she's young enough so that I don't have to go out in search of another hairdresser that'll last me 25 years. I thought I'd check this place out and had the great fortune to meet Erin, who did a fabu job cutting my hair and bangs exactly as I wanted.  Not only that, it was the first time anyone had ever asked how I wanted my hair to lay.  She asked before I could *ask her* if there was a way to cut it so it didn't flip outward, a pet peeve of mine.She is amazing to work with and a whiz with the shears.  She also cuts hair in SF, so if you're looking for SF cuts without having to drive to the City, make your way to Erin at Cheveaux. I have only lived in Sonoma for three years.  Through my neighbors recommendation I found Sharna, owner of the Cheveux Salon.  I have been extremely happy with my hair ever since.  The Salon is clean, quiet and comfortable. She always has some cool music playing in the background.  Sharna is quick to offer me something to drink and then gets down to business.  The first question is, how are you liking your hair/color/style.  I like the fact she wants to hear from me!I have naturally curly (corkscrews) hair but I also like to style it.  Wanting to always have both options can be a challenge for a Stylist.  Sharna has always provided me a cut that looks great each way!  She also does my highlights and color.  I would highly recommend Sharna and the salon. I had my hair done for my BIL wedding and Veronica was my hairstylist. She came to my hotel and created this half up and half down do that was very ala Kate Middleton. I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to try Cheveaux Salon now on East Napa. My appointment was with the owner of the salon and the experience was worse than bad. I was left with wet hair because she was short on time. There was no offer for another stylist standing by with an empty chair to dry my hair. Plus her attitude was so pompous ughhhh who needs a feel bad day from a professional person in the beauty business.  No credit card payment accepted ??My sincere advice is don't go. Read Less

I had a great experience getting my hair cut and colored by Noelle. She took the time to understand what I was asking for and I walked out excited to show off my new look! Noelle is fabulous!  I recently moved to Sonoma, from LA - where I left my stylist of ~10 years.  Finding a new stylist is never a fun project, but must be done when you move 6+ hours away.  I tried a few places around town before finding Noelle.  I always have fun tousled-ish short hair, but had decided to grow it out when we moved - DISASTER!  Me and long hair do not mix.  After my first cut and color with her, I knew it was time.  We discussed what I liked, how much time and effort I was willing to put into my hair on a daily basis (none) and she went to town!  Exactly what I wanted.. and even when I decide to wait too long for the next visit, I still get compliments on the cut.  That, to me, is the sign of a great stylist.  I highly recommend Noelle at Cheveux! Purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian Blowout, went to the salon had a "Brazilian Blowout" and once I washed my hair two days later, it didn't feel any different. I called the stylist and she informed me she was moving to Sacramento and couldn't do anything about it, she did not have any openings.  She did not offer to refund my $100.00 or have someone else in the salon remedy the situation.  I called the owner Sharna and left a message to call, she didn't bother calling but sent this text to me:" Hi, it's Sharna the owner of Cheveux. I'm so sorry your unhappy with your Brazilian you had with Chloe. I do know that you have talked with her. Unfortun ately, we are all independent contractors at Cheveux. Here is chloe's contact number if you would like to contact her about the matter. Kelly, please don t buy any groupon pkgs with my stylists in the future. I just don't feel it's a fit for you."So, buyer beware, this is a rip off!  I did contact the stylist and the owner of the salon, I will never get my $ back.  I am extremely disappointed that the owner and the stylist of this salon has this attitude. Sharna has been doing my hair for years now. She has such amazing ability to see every individuals particular ""niche"" for their hair. She is always educating herself on the newest products and styles. If the term is ""keeping up with the Jones'"" but it should be ""keeping up with cheveux!"" Her new salon is in this cute little vintage-esq cottage off the plaza right next to all the clothing shops and wine rooms and art... everything is right there!
