I really enjoyed coming in to get my gel manicure. Deborah is very detailed oriented and will ask if there is a certain color or occasion. This place is just darling! Conveniently located in town but just outside the center enough that there is plenty of parking around.The spa itself is adorable- appointed with cute decor and great items for sale.My first visit I saw Lindsey the esthetician for some long overdue, shall we say "maintenance." Lindsey was kind and thorough and knows what she's doing. I didn't go for anything major and still left there feeling great! I immediately booked for a follow up appointment and will also be booking a facial.Their manicure/pedicure setup looked great and I'll likely be back for that as well. We went there with our bridal party the day before my sister's wedding to relax. What a nightmare! It's like Hansel And Gretel cottage, it looks nice from outside and it is a disaster inside. It took them 4 hours to do a regular pedicure and manicure for my sister and we almost missed the rehearsal. The pedicure was so bad that she had to go the next day (on her wedding day), wait there for another hour and half, to get it fixed. Needless to say they charged her another 20 dollars the next day to correct their mess from the day before. The lady who did my nail was nice but again nothing impressive for the price they charge. If I could give no stars, I would. I had a horrible experience at this salon. I was getting married at Santa Ynez, and I decided to book my pedicure and manicure at this place based on their great yelp reviews. I made an appointment there a month in advance for 4 pm on the day before my wedding since my wedding rehearsal dinner was 7 pm that night. When I made the appointment I specifically asked them how long would take them to do the regular manicure and pedicure at they told me at "2 hours maximum."  Since I was worried about the timing, we got there 3:30 pm with my bridesmaids. One of the ladies started working on my hand,  and she was done around 5 and then she looked at me and said "I don't do pedicure someone else would take care of you pedicure." There was two staff and the owner sitting there chatting with themselves and no one started on my pedicure until 6:30 pm. The place was not busy at all, and they were just doing other stuff including washing the dishes and gossiping about customers. Finally, at 6:00 I politely reminded Deborah that I have a rehearsal to go to at 7 pm. With attitude she said, "someone will get to you." By the time one of the ladies started my pedicure (6:30 pm) I was stressed out and shaky. My pedicurist rushed the entire thing and the final job was awful.  When they finally finished at 7:30, I had to wear my shoes and run to the rehearsal which obviously ruined my pedicure. I wasn't happy with either of my manicure or pedicure but I didn't say anything because I couldn't tolerate that place for another second. On things that REALLY pissed me off was that my bridesmaids and myself we all paid with credit cards. When my bridesmaids were paying for themselves, they were given the option of adding the tip themselves. At the end since the owner knew I was dissatisfied with my services, after I handed her my card she added 20% tip for herself without asking my permission. I cannot believe that I ended up paying 120 for such a a mediocre job. This place was a nightmare and I was better off going to a Happy Nail than going there! Read Less

Enchante indeed.This darling cottage has an amazing garden to greet you as you walk in. Instead of an assembly line and a cold waiting area, you step right into the living room of an old home, filled with floral cozy chairs, fun gals, and cheer.fWe three gals decided that we needed some pampering and some girl chat. Enchante made that happen. All three of us got manicures and pedicures. The staff joined in the fun as if they were our long time friends. I went to Solvang for a weekend of rest and relaxation,  and boy did I get it!!   I've been running a lot with my cousin and started to develop many callouses on my right foot.   My left foot was fractured about a year ago so I ended up putting most of my weight on my right foot which made it look like a rusty tugboat full of salty barnacles.  As you can tell walking and running had become very hard on my body and especially my feet.     After spending 4 days walking around with pain I decided that enough was enough!!  So I walked in a couple of places to ask if they could help me scrape the barnacles from the bottom of my feet and they said most of the work they do it pedicure and not much focus on the bottom of feet.   Finally I stumbled upon this magical garden,  so I decided to enter after looking at the truly enchanted garden in front.  I was greeted by Stephanie who is very nice and full of life.   Then the owner Deborah who is very kind and easy to talk to.   I told them my problem and they made it seem like it was a piece of cake to fix it.     Next day I was lucky enough to get an appointment!!   Wasn't really sure what to expect because I don't know much about pedicures.   All I knew is that my feet hurt and  I went in to ask them if they could help and they assured me they could.   Boy did they ever!!   Got a foot bath,  massage,   multiple lotion applications,  salt scrub,  nail clip,  foot wrap,  and most importantly a barnacle clipping (aka foot sanding).   I was sure that I'd have to go to a doctor to get my feet taken care of because of the severity of the callouses on the bottom of my feet,  but when I left the cottage I was walking much straighter and with no pain.   In the beginning of the session I COULD NOT really feel Stephanie touching my right foot but at the end I realized I could feel her touching my foot again!!!   I was super happy.      After I left NO JOKE I stared walking with NO PAIN and my hips and back just felt better,  don't ask me why because I can't really figure out why I just know my pain went away and not only in my feet!!   I paid $40 and because of Stephanies appointment running late she just kept working on me.   I literally was getting worked on for 1 hour and 30 minutes,  and all for $40.   Most places would have told me to leave after 45-50 minutes but this is NOT your ordinary place.   This is a place full of love and compassion and it shows in not only the job I got but shows in other yelp reviews and other customers were super happy just to be there.      In addition Deborah makes the BEST scones I've ever had in my life!!  most scones are hard and crunchy which I didn't mind until I tasted hers.   She makes them from scratch and they are full of flavor and SUPER soft and fluffy.   Yes you heard right scones that are soft and fluffy.   I don't know how she does it but you can tell she actually CARES about her customers.   You get scones,  coffee,  tea,  cookies and much more.   It was my first time there and I can't wait to come back to Solvang so I came make an appointment here and get some more work done with lots of LOVE!!   This place is a throwback to how people used to run businesses.  Nowadays places just want you in and out and this place has really makes you feel like your with your family.   I felt so comfortable here that I ended up staying an extra 30 minutes after my 1 hour and a half,   and it was soo worth it.       Please take my advise and try this place,  I can't think of many other places that show soo much love, care, and respect to thier customers.   Btw,  the owner told me   to come in morning for some more free scones.   Unreal,  WHO ELSE DOES THAT!?!?   Thank you Deborah and Stephanie for helping me walk better and for showing soo much compassion and LOVE.   See ya soon!! Overall: nice ambiance, owner and employees are very friendly and hospitable, but really expensive ($80 for two so-so pedicures). You need to make an appointment 1-2 weeks in advance in order to be seen and it is very rare for them to have the availability for two people at the same time. Small, but quaint little place. I love it here! My only complaint is that I didn't spend more time here. On my birthday I received a much needed facial by Stephanie and then a relaxing massage by Fiona. I didn't have to leave the bed in between sessions. They treated me like a V.I.P. even before I told them it was my birthday. I wanted to sleep during my facial because it was so relaxing just stepping foot in the Parisian style spa. Both women were vey professional and hospitable. This was absolutely a much needed respite from the everyday chaos.  My Mom and I met up in Solvang for a Mother/Daughter long weekend to celebrate my 40th.  She treated me to a day at the spa and boy, was it a treat!!  My day started with a fabulous massage by Fiona.  She was just what the knots in my back "kneaded" (see what I did there?).  I hadn't had a proper massage in well over a decade and will be making this a regular item on my "Regimen to a New Me".  Once Fiona had finished with my massage, it was Mom's turn.  While I waited for her to finish I waited out on the patio in a super comfy chair surrounded by the beautiful plants, flowers and wildlife of their garden.  I had a magazine and my phone to entertain me yet I found myself lost in daydreams that would only be interrupted by a very friendly hummingbird or the busy little bees diving in and out (they were just doing their job so no bother to me).After Mom had her massage from Fiona we both were ready for the Pedi part of Spa Day.  Mom had Stephanie and I had Deborah.  I can only speak for the joyful experience I had with Deborah, but know that my Mom expressed the same joyful experience with Stephanie.  Deborah was so kind, funny, attentive and helpful with tips for things to do around the region.  Again, it had been many years since my last pedicure (I know, shame on me) and my feet were in end-of-summer mode.  She revived them and prettied them with ease.  During my treatment she and I chatted about all sorts and she offered up a couple of recommendations of places to go.  My treatment finished before my Mom's so I had a chance to discuss an issue I have with deep grooves in my thumbnails with Deborah.  She had a look and had me pop over to her manicure table.  She buffed them out, filled them with gel and gave them a nice shine at no extra charge!!  I have not had flat thumbnails since I was a kid so I was so giddy!!  She explained HER process used with gels and informed me not all salons will do it this way.  Now I just need to find a local place that might do it similarly so I can get the rest of my nails done.  Sadly, Solvang is a little far to go to maintain a lovely manicure for me.  But, she gave me her card and told me to have anyone I find give her a call and she can walk them through her process.  I thought this was very nice of her.  So, if you find yourself in the SYV, I highly recommend Enchante for a relaxing, enjoyable spa experience. This is the best mani/pedi experience I have ever had.  From my phone call with Deborah, the owner, to schedule the appointment to the pretty, shiny fingers and toes I'm still showing off four days later, everything about Enchante was perfect.My mom, sister, and I were on a girls' weekend and Enchante was able to accomodate all three of us at the same time.  We had a blast with Deborah, Stephanie, and Fiona...it was like being in Truvy's salon in "Steel Magnolias"- we felt like we were hanging out with our dearest friends in the world.Deborah has been in business for 13 years and it's no wonder.  The cottage is so inviting and the spa menu is extensive; I heard great things about their massages and facials.  They have over 300 polish choices (OPI, Essie, and some China Glaze) and they take their time to make sure you are happy and relaxed.Between the neck wraps and the freshly made scones they offer you (and offer again and again if you should refuse at first), you will not want to leave Enchante.  I wish it was closer to home. Went there with two of my girlfriends for manicures and pedicures. My girlfriends were lucky enough to get the owner, I was not so lucky. I thought manicures were supposed to include a massage? I opted for just a polish change for my toes since the manicure was less than impressive. I was however very impressed with the atmosphere. Beautiful little cottage! I'm sure if I had the owner for my manicure I would have been happy (my friend was) but as nice as the lady was who did mine, she just wasn't worth $45 mani (with no massage). My fiancee and I were recently on vacation and I really wanted to get my nails done. We walked by two other salons and they didn't look like places I wanted to go. We saw this adorable cottage with beautiful flowers and I knew pretty much right away that it would be perfect! Deborah did manicures for both me and my fiancee and she gave us fantastic advice about where to eat. The strawberry lemon scone was DELICIOUS and she was a very gracious hostess. Update 8/9/12:I've gone back several times since my first review, and the service remained top-notch and my skin looks better than ever. I'm so sad she's not in my normal geographic region. With Stephanie, I booked not only mine but the boy's as well on the spot as soon as I was done the first time. Went back for my second today and booked again. She really listens to what you like, has great hands, and will let you try new treatments to see if you like them before committing full-monty. I went to Enchante today for the first time. You feel like you've walked into an English garden when you walk up their front steps. This Nail and Massage Spa is in a vintage cottage with a white picket fence. The flowers were in full bloom and the beauty continued inside. I would have loved to just stay there all day. Rebekah gave me a wonderful pedicure, complete with rose petals bowl of warm soaking water (with stones at the bottom for some nice texture on the bottoms of me feet).
