I have been getting my nails done for years. I stopped into this place because I was running errands and this was close by, but definitely not my normal salon. The prices were not posted anywhere but I figured its just a fill how bad can it be? It's not a nice salon. They have clothes hanging all over the walls for sale etc but everything is covered in dust and faded. I like gel polish so it will last longer. After she finished, I handed her my card. When she returned the slip for me to sign? $50. For an acrylic fill and gel polish? No fancy details. No flowers. I've never paid so much and i go to a really nice salon that puts rose petals in your water when they do pedicures!!! 2 days later my entire thumbnail of polish just comes off. So I had to drive all the way back. 30 minutes. I showed her the nail. She put a tip on, per my request because when the polish came off it ripped my nail. But she used no acrylic to even it out, just painted my nail with polish. I was watching a movie on my phone so I wasn't paying attention. So now I have this dip? Groove? Ridge? in my nail. Bubbles all in the polish. It isn't even the same shape as my other nail. Squared off while the other is more rounded. I had to pick up my daughter from school and didn't have time to tell her that her work was complete garbage. I've never seen anyone not use acrylic or gel to fill in the space on the nail bed. Ever. This place does not feel clean and is Expensive!! The woman used THE SAME TOOLS that she used on me on my friend without cleaning them. There is a strange odor and the place is dusty. The woman charged $40 for a gel manicure AND the manicure sucked. CHIPPED IN ONE DAY. And the painting was messy all over my cuticles. Do not try this place. Read Less

I got my eyebrows waxed as a walk-in and loved the lady who did them. She was easy to talk to. I did have to show her where else to pluck that wasn't a part of my eyebrow shape. She didn't have an overhead light and only used the fluorescent lighting from the ceiling. I asked for a pedicure and wasn't guided when to get in the chair or when to get out. I jumped in after awkwardly standing there waiting for acknowledgement. The other lady did an okay job with the pedicure. I am left with some scratchy callus and it looks like I only got one coat of polish. The selection of colors were mainly wet and wild products and some other unknown products. I felt like I was in a 99 cent store. To separate my toes she used a piece of styrofoam and tore it off in little pieces and placed them in between my toes. It was weird. The lady who did my brows told me she has only been getting one customer a day. The salon had a early 90's vibe (not in a good way).Over all weird experience but the ladies were nice. Read Less

Chairs are duct taped together. They rushed me through for another person leaving two toe nails done badly. Tried to upsell x3. Then, insisted that I get up and walk across the shop in barefeet on a dirty floor to free the chair for someone else. What? How ridiculous. I asked them to put my flip flops on. That's the best I've ever seen them!"  Usually my eyebrows are unsymmetrical and straight, and I've tried so many salons (cheap and expensive) that I had pretty much resigned myself to having bad eyebrows until I found this place. Don't let the appearance of this nail shop fool you. Dresses hang on the wall and shoes line shelves in case you need to glam it up after your service. What makes this unassuming place great is the skill of the women, especially the woman who does pedicures, who is nothing less than thorough and extremely precise. She will leave your toes perfectly trimmed and heels smooth and free of calluses. I expected to get in and out in 25 minutes like most places, but after 45 minutes my feet look better than they have since the day I was born. 5 stars for relaxation.  New massage chairs and no music and no tv.  And no chatter.  Complete silence. 4 stars for cleanliness.  They disinfect the old fashion way w/ quatz (hospital grade disinfectant) like most hair salons use.  Although I did see them going thru the steps of sanitization.  Im a stylist so I know what to look for.  4 stars for the exfoliation.  She got down w/ her bad self on my dead skin. 3 stars for massage.  The quietness of the shop out shined the lack of deep massage. 3 stars for polish.  No top coat???? This salon in Solana has an even column of pros and cons.Pros! Its quiet and relaxing, small, so its staffed by just two or maybe three people at a time. The ladies who work there were super sweet! Plenty of magazines but no TV, music, or crowds. The manicurist was extremely gentle and took intense care in shaping and cutting my nails. She did an impeccable job on cuticles and buffing, and I wasn't pinched, cut, or scratched once! The selection of colors wasn't huge but sufficient, however most were a brand I've never heard of, not a lot of my Opi favs.They did carry Gelac, a gel nail polish option, in just a couple colors and I opted for that! No chippy! Cons! For the area and location the shop is a bit on the shabby site. No massage chairs and the cleanliness made me a tinsy bit nervous. I really prefer it when I can see the tools being taken out of some sort of sanitation and Rainbow Nails just brought them over in a tub from the back....errrr, definitely nervous. Both ladies in the shop worked on me at the same time and it was really uncomfortable. Gelac requires placing your hands under a UV machine, which they brought over and precariously set on the hand rest of my pedicure chair. To get my left hand into it I had to sit twisted to my right...goodbye relaxation, Also it took FOREVER to dry...and I mean like 40 minutes...long after my toes were done. I've had gel before and it was nothing like this, I feel like either the UV machine wasn't working or they did something wrong. Le sigh..my toes turned out perfect tho! Mani=mehPedi=hooray!
