Barely did anything cuticles to the point I almost left without polish. Stayed for the reflexology massage which was nice. Finished with my little toe burning for some reason and the lady painted my skin above my toes because my nail was so short. Then proceeded to correct me when I rubbed the excess off. TERRIBLE! Made an appointment for three. We arrived on time to find all of the pedicure chairs filled. They had just filled them too, not like they were running behind. So making appointments here is useless. They use the same equipment on multiple people, which is disgusting. I had to ask them to wear gloves and provide a fresh scrub brush and callus remover since they were about to use the same ones they used on a lady I didn't even know! I stopped by on my way because I was urgently in need of a mani pedi prior to a business event the next day. My regular salon was going to close prior to my getting back to the town in which I reside, so I was desperate. I had been in my feet all day and was going to be again all day today. I was desperate for a relaxing foot massage. The massage was painful and this morning I have more than a dozen red bruises on my legs and feet. Can't believe I paid $40 to get injured and now I have to where slacks instead of my dress to the event. Now the mani was the sloppiest gel paint job as I have ever had, she left white gel on the skin of almost all of my fingers. Shame on me for not putting my glasses on to inspect. The couple was very nice and stated they had been there for years....Solana Beach residents are you nuts, how are they still in business!  Sorry for the bad review folks but I felt I had to inform the public. Do not use this nail salon. The woman who did my gelmanicure and pedicure did the worst job I ever experienced. While she did my treatments she was distracted by maning the cash register, cleaning out spa chairs and advising her co-workers. The massage included with the pedicure was no massage at all, just rubbing in some cream. For my hands she did not even apply lotion. But the worst was: she tried to use dividers for my toes that she had just taken out of another customer! I did reject them. Read Less

I rarely take time to write review, but Diamond Nails & Spa is worth it ! It’s nice to find a place that truly cares about the customers. They accommodated me quickly as I walked in. I got the full set with polish and massage. The staff are very professional and makes every effort to provide a relaxing experience. It's super clean and had a beautiful decoration and atmosphere. Absolutely amazing! I think I've finally found my gem in Solana Beach. The location was very easy to find, and all of the staff were extremely polite and professional. I had done for a shellac manicure. She did an exceptional job and she was very thorough, and she did not rush even when it came close to closing time. The salon was very clean, and they had a large selection of polish colors both shellac and regular. This was by far the most reasonably priced and best salon experience I've ever had! The staff is always friendly and the salon is very clean! If you want to do on yourself get the best pedicure they offer! The worst!  I should have know better when I walked in and it was empty and only one manicurist.  I asked for a spa medi and pedi.  It began with the massage that I was unaware I was getting.  In the meantime, more people came in and my service got delayed.  By the time they got to me I did not have time for a manicure, they quickly did a sloppy pedicure and than charged me $50.  While it clearly said on the window $25.00 for pedicure with massage.  Total rip off!  When I asked why it was so much she pointed out on their menu spa pedicure with 30 minute massage for $40.  Which I did not ask for.  DO NOT GO HERE.  There is a reason it is empty. I was admiring my tennis gf's nails and decided to make a jump. They use good gel, have well-qualified techniques and you get the very high quality of design more than what you expected. 2/5 solid stars - affordable for all the treatments, but not the best....This is the only place I know where you can get a massage and mani & pedi at the same time. While they do your hand, someone is massaging your legs/feet, and vice versa.We came here, and I felt like we were rushed. The lady (probably owner) did a great job on my pedi, but not my manicure. She was rushing through my nails, and it was OK. My mani felt like this was a job I could have accomplished at home. I could've probably done a better job. You can see the second layer of polish on my cuticle b/c the polish was not painted evenly.The reflexology massage was great on my legs and feet, but arms and upper body was painful. I had to ask the manicurist several times to actually groom my cuticles; when she did she made several bleed.  Prior to asking her to do that she basically just shortened my nails, unevenly filed them and buffed them (for $14 more). The "reflexology" massage was extremely painful and the masseur seemed to have no idea what he was doing.  The manicure was extremely sloppy and performed with basically zero care.  I have to go cut my nails again when I get home because they are completely uneven.  This was the most frustrating waste of time and money I have ever endured. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a nail Solon. I went in at four, the took me right away to which I was pleased. I requested a gel manicure and pedicure. I sat in the pedicure chair, only my hands were done though. The lady was taking off my gel, but she kept handling other customers at the same time so it took longer than necessary. When she put the base coat on and put it under the light I told her it was burning. She said, " it's okay it's okay". I pulled my hand out and there was a pink mark where it was burning the worst on my thumb. I asked her to cut my nails and she said no she would file them. I said no I want them cut a second time and she cut them. She literally took thirty seconds to cut my cuticles, and I said can you please cut them more. She said no if she did they would bleed. I then proceeded to show her little skin tags she had left that I wanted cut. After all said and done my hands took and hour, and I'm stuck with a big gloopy gel corner on my left hand. She finally started my pedicure when a regular walked in. She started taking off the gel and left to go attend to the man that just walked in. After twenty minutes I said excuse me because my toes felt weird after being soaked in acetone covered in tin foil for twenty minutes. She told a gentlemen that did not speak English to come over and take them off, and said fifteen minutes to him. He started giving me a foot massage. I flinched my leg because he kept rubbing my previously broken foot really hard. I said please go soft on this foot, he didn't understand and kept rubbing so I just took my feet away. After I was done I went up to pay. She charged me $82!!! I said no no no I did not get all that. She claimed I got a spa pedicure, when my feet NEVER touched any water. Apparently if you have your cuticles cut that qualifies for a $47 Felix pedicure?? She said I got a 15 minute massage. I said no you told me to give a massage because you took a gentleman before me. We went back and forth for five minutes. I just gave up because she was being a cheap snob. I would absolutely not mind paying for that if I got what I paid for. I have paid half that price for a five star rating. The worst part about it was that my boyfriend paid for this to give me a special day. I felt so bad i didn't even want him paying for it. This place is a rip off and the have no customer service skills. If you want to wait two and a half hours for poor customer service then go to this place. I would give them a one star, but they gave me a flower pillow which I actually kinda liked. Screw this place I would rather let me five year old nephew give me a pedicure and pay him double! My "reflexology" massage was a painful joke, the polish I picked was old or something and really clumpy, so instead of asking me to pick a new polish she goes for it anyway, my nails are lumpy and uneven. Love this place !! Very clean fresh new sterilized tools! But best part is chair massage and foot massage !!! Some days when I'm in pain I drop by for 30 min massage , ask for , "the guy" .. So awesome !! You can pay cc and tip on cc too! Finally a quality place here in Solana I find too many crapy places in this nice area ! The other nail place by panda actually gave me nail infection , the bar and bistro is awful! Panera sucks with over price and small portions, pizza nova has the worst pizza I ever tasted , they were actually out of pizza once! Massage envy has all old men masseuse who have long nails, the hair salons are way over priced here! Same with marshals I just saw $100 sweater at marshals ! Wtf?! Gas stations here are way more then Encinitas stations,  sushi on lomas Santa Fe has the most ridiculous prices I have ever seen! No good clothes shopping here other then small overpriced boutiques .
