Tiffany does a good job with my nails here, but the problem here is that if they are busy, the workers will rush with your nails & will not do the best job (including Tiffany). You have to be firm with them to make them do your nails how they are wanted. For example, I got a powder color & wanted a gel clear coat ... you are supposed to wash your hands after the powder is filed, but because the salon was busy, Tiffany just brushed the powder off and applied the polish which left bumps on my nails & it was very bothersome to deal with for the next 3 weeks. I made an appointment for 1130 they didn't seat me until 1210. I then had to continue to wait another 7 minutes or so. By then the water was cold and my feet were getting pruned. They do NOT use plastic in the pedicure tubs. I was getting the callus treatment. Nancy used the tool to apply the callus ointment to one foot THEN SET IT ON THE GROUND!! She was about to pick it up to use it on the other foot. I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! I was thoroughly disappointed with how UNSANITARY Beauty Secrets is! Typical nail shop. Been a few times for basic manicures and pedicures. Shop is dated. Pedicure/massage chairs look and feel old. It is not immediately apparent if they clean everything well. I've had to ask them to wipe down foot tubs. Women are nice enough, some more friendly and communicative than others.  They do not allow customers to put tips on credit cards.  Very inconvenient and not something you would be aware of until you go to pay. The worst treatment I have ever experienced. Went in for a pedicure. The lady clipped off the sides of my toe nails so deep that it caused me to have an ingrown toe nail and my toe started to pus when I got home and I could not wear my shoes or socks for two days. I also received the worst gel job on my toe nails. When she applied the nail polish it built up where my cuticles are showing a lump of nail polish. I informed the lady to fix it, she told me it was my toes. I informed her that it is not in fact my toes it is her fault. Every time I come here, I'm warmly greeted.  They do an awesome spa pedicure with a salt scrub and don't scrimp on the massage. The Polish stays on a full month without chipping off.  I highly recommend this salon! Read Less

My fiancé doesn't like stirring the pot, but I do so here goes. From what she told me, this is the most unprofessional bunch of people ever. They talked s*** about a certain race until they found out I was that race. Then they tried backpedaling instead of owning it and apologizing. Went with my mom to get our nails done yesterday and we wanted to try a new spot. The lady was very nice, so far my acrylic fill and pedicure look great. The only downside is the salon is a little outdated as far as the paint on the walls and the signage out front but other than that it was good. The salon doesn't have great ventilation but once I mentioned it they opened the front door and it aired out really fast. I think this is my new nail spot. Read Less

I just recently moved to Simi Valley and I've been trying different nail salon. This by far is my favorite. Ann did my gel mani and pedi. Nice people and salon. Wonderful spot to get a manicure and pedicure. They use a metal pot for your feet that have flower petals inside them, all pretty! The chairs are comfy and the women are exceptional at what they do. The temperature of the water and warm lotion are so relaxing. It's $55 for the mani/pedi, but worth it. They take their time and are very detailed. I am definitely coming back. I have gone in several times when polished was not busy and received phenomenal service. Although i just went in when it was busy (with an appointment) and the service was terrible. My pedicure was extremely rushed and not done to its entirety. I've been a long time customer. Mani, pedi, gel, acrylics you name it and I've had it done here. The staff is amazing and I've always enjoyed my experiences until today. I have referred at least 5 people who now go there on a regular basis!! A friend and I made appointments ( and yes I know in a nail salon appointments truly mean nothing ) one manicure and one pedicure with manicure. We walk in and had to wait about 10 mins to be seated, no biggie. Sitting there for about 5 mins and they start my friend clearly the right person to start considering she will take a lot longer. In the meantime they sit someone next to me. As we are chatting a girl comes over and starts the woman they sat next to me. I'm a little surprised cuz one I was sitting longer two had an appointment.  After about 25 mins of my feet being on water I'm about done. I take my feet out and just sit. Another 10 mins pass the manager Tiffany comes over and say that the girl finishing up my friends pedi will start my pedi when done. I said well she is getting a mani too so she might as well finisher her up and I think at this time I'm gonna pass on the pedi.... Tiffany shuts down the bubbles and walks away. I was so in shock I got up told my friend I would come back and get her to text me when done. I truly do not understand where customer service went in this situation. If Tiffany would have said I'm sorry we are super busy and she started the wrong person we will be right with you, I would have been fine. I couldn't believe that she was so rude and dismissive when all I did was sit there for 45 mins and get pruny feet. I will NEVER step foot in this salon again. I don't usually get my nails done in Simi Valley because I'm always in LA, but I was in dire need of a gel refill! The owner was able to squeeze me in right away the moment I called. They had a good offering of gel colors, so I decided to change my nails to a soft pink and reshaped it to stilleto. I would have loved to give them five stars but was somewhat concerned about the cleanliness due to the amount of dust on everything. However I am absolutely amazed at the quality of work done here! I had acrylics put on because I tend to pick at my cuticles when I'm stressed and my work lately hasn't been the usual fun it is. It has been two and a half weeks going on three and the acrylics are staying strong without a hint of wanting to lift! Tiffany really is the best out there! If you have never been, the place is located in a shopping center of Walgreens (my GPS told me wrong). I had to get a fill done, with different colors. Tiffany really filed down my nails and made them look like new! It was the best job I have seen! I don't get my nails done often, but I have been to several different places and so far none compare. She gave me the option of gel for the the finish or just a clear coat. I took the gel, really does make the nail much shinier and last longer. It only took her about 45 minutes and I have never been happier. You have to make an appointment, especially if you want to see her, she is one busy lady. Super sweet as well!
