This is my and my daughter's new favorite nail place. She used to work at a popular Beverly Hills nail salon and so she knows what she expects in a salon. Here, she gets her gels while I get my organic manicure with Zoya brand polish. The organic manis and pedis include all organic products from the remover and massage cream to the top coat. Negit, the owner, is very welcoming and helpful. She helps me pick out my colors. Even letting me try out different colors first. Like any truly customer-centered business, if you are not thoroughly satisfied, she will offer you a complimentary do-over or refund your money. Especially love the manicurists Don, Bao and Sonia. I made an appointment for a mani pedi. I got there a little early. They started my hands when he was finished he asked me to wait for my pedicure. After waiting a while and two people walking in and sat in pedicure chairs. I asked him when was I going to have my pedicure. He said he didn't know. I asked if the owner knew the. He tells me she left. So I asked who knew. He again shrugged his shoulders. He truly didn't know. There was no managment left for direction. I've always avoided this place, despite the great reviews, because the name "Green Nail" was so off putting to me.  I mean, come on.  But I needed a mani pedi in a pinch one evening, and they squeezed me in for an appointment when my usual place couldn't accommodate me.  Best decision I made that day.  Green Nail (still having a hard time with the name) is FABULOUS!  The nail techs were so detailed and so friendly, and the other technicians there checked on me and made friendly chit chat, even while working on other people's nails.  They offered me water and made sure I was comfortable throughout my time there.  The salon was very clean and felt relaxing and really serene. I forgot that I was in a rush, and I just sat back and enjoyed the whole happy experience.  Parking is really easy, either on Ventura at the meters, or in the back, off of the alley.   They are giving my normal place a run for their money, because I will definitely be back to Green Nail (but that name though). Nice ambiance and very friendly staff. Good qualify manicure and pedicure. The oil they used for my hand and feet massage smelled really good, like pineapple :)). The owner was attentive to my specific requests. I will definitely go back to this nail salon in the future. Read Less

Green Nail has made me a loyal customer in such a short amount of time. Bao has given me the best gel manicures and regular pedicures of any nail salon in the valley, and the color and selection is phenomenal. They guarantee gel manis for two weeks and will fix any chips for free - but I've never needed a touch up, even when I (against all advice) got a manicure with the chrome powder. It's kind of a crapshoot if you want to get a walk-in, but they respond on yelp if you want to book online and I've never had an issue calling to make an appointment. I tried at least three other salons in the Sherman Oaks area before coming to Green Nail and I'll never go to another nail salon again. I recommend this place to all my friends.Tip: there is a super tiny parking lot in the back, but plenty of metered parking on Ventura and the adjacent side street. Read Less

Don't waste your time and money, they are great at calling and following up on appointments but not when it comes to Service. For Pedicure depends who does the work, spa chairs no massage, feet soaking cold water and bucket like normal pedicure for $22 , full set acrylics $35 and up what you would get is uneven polish and shape. I began going to Green Nail a few months ago because I needed a local nail shop to go to. I went every two weeks for a couple of months for a regular acrylic fill, occasionally throwing in a pedicure. While the place isn't the cleanest, it was close to my home, and my nail girl, Liz, did an amazing job, so I continued to go. The last appointment that I booked for regular fill, AFTER the work was done, I was informed of price changes. Even though, it wasn't worth it, I paid anyways because the work was done. Before every appt. I would message the owner to be sure of the price I was getting when going in and it was always higher when it came time to pay. Once again, I continued to go because of the convenience. One appointment, i decided to do gel acrylics and while the price was hefty ($60) I was very pleased with Liz's work. It lasted 4 weeks, the paint job was smooth, and the nails were perfect, I'm thinking... I can definitely do this every 4 weeks. Fast forward to exactly 1 week ago. I messaged the owner for a gel FILL and pedicure and inquired on the price. She let me know it would be $50, which is fine. I get to my appt. and she informed me Linda would be doing my nails and she's very good. My regular pedicure girl was there and did an amazing job. While Linda's techniques were much appreciated, she did an absolutely horrendous job on my nails (first two pics). The nails are crooked, the paint job has strokes (EVEN THOUGH ITS GEL) and bubbles formed under the polish. I had already spent an hour and a half in the shop, which has no air conditioning, so I looked at the nails briefly and went up to the cash register to pay. Mind you as stated above, the owner quoted me at $50 for the gel fill and pedicure. Linda informs me that my total is $72!!!!! $22 for the pedi and $50 for my nails. I was taken ABACK, but I don't like to cause scenes, so I paid and went home swearing to never go back. I get home and my boyfriend (who pays for my nails) is FURIOUS, says the nails look like shit. He calls the shop, gets Linda's name, and books me an appt for the next day, so my nails can be fixed. I message the owner and while she tried to help ease the situation, I was already over it and fuming at the same time. $72 for a fucking nail job at a bunk place? GOODBYE. Even in the most upscale salon, I was not unfairly priced, and if the job were at least above expectations, I would be satisfied. Fast forward to today, exactly 1 week later, and the reason why I am writing this review. My $50 gel acrylic has broken off and the edges of my nails are shit. (last pic). I found this place on yelp in a hurry to get a mani pedi before an event. I called to see if they had time for me as I was driving and they said to come in at 6 which was in 15 mins. I arrived and was greeted warmly and given colors to pick from. Unfortunately they didn't take me until 6:15, so I was not happy about that at all. The place is very clean and I love that they bring the tubs for the pedicures and line them. The lady who did my nails was so sweet and efficient. She gave me a suggestion on a different color than the one I had picked and I LOVE my nails. They realized I was in a rush and went as fast as they could without compromising the quality at all which I was super impressed with. I'm a meticulous person when it comes to grooming and I couldn't have asked for any better service. Definitely coming back! Read Less

A couple of things I consider when it comes to choosing a nail salon.  1 - are they clean. 2 - do they have a good selection of colors  3 - are they friendly/on time and last but not least how is the parking situation.Congratulations to Negin the Owner. She has a fantastic shop that has everything that I feel are important. Her shop is clean, great variety of colors, very friendly staff and plenty of street parking (there is parking behind the shop as well)I highly recommend this place especially if your doing Gel manicures. It's pretty hard to find a good pedicure place for a guy where they make you feel comfortable and welcome. After seeing the ratings on Yelp, I thought I'd give this place a shot. I was welcomed by the owner and immediately sat down for the mani-pedi special offer on Yelp. ($32) immediately one of the employees asked if I'd like a drink, so she offered me a variety to choose from (which included water, juice, wine). Obviously I chose the wine.. How can you go wrong with that. The service was exceptional and quick and both people working on my nails and toenails did an amazing job. I even got an upgrade to organic lotion at the end.
