I found this place and I wasn't thrilled about the space for parking that was shared with the other businesses but I didn't go there for parking. This is the last time I will ever come to this salon. Not only are the people working here rude, they're clueless as to what a pedicure actually consist of. Not to mention the polish on my toes is horrific! My toes look like they were done by a 5 year old. The women are rough and do not know how to properly use any of their tools. Visiting my hometown of Monterey, I had this misfortune to visit this salon for the first (and last) time today primarily b/c it was open (Sunday) and the price was reasonable.   I WALKED OUT after 5 minutes of what passed for a "pedicure", something I have never before done at any salon in my life (and I've been having mani/pedis for decades).  The middle-aged woman who was doing my nails acted as if she'd never held a nail clipper before- and then actually proceeded to try to FILE my CUTICLES.   Any licensed cosmetologist would know this is *not* safe (not to mention the fact that when you try to file a cuticle, you end up filing TOES- not comfortable!)  When I asked her, in very simple clear language, to please stop and use a cuticle stick to push them back GENTLY she at first did not stop- and then when asked again brought over a pad of paper and a pen- presumably so that I could write out my request.  I did so, and she showed it to a younger woman who I assume translated for her- however she did not come back w/a cuticle stick.   After a few more minutes, I was so uncomfortable with her obvious ineptness that I made up an excuse and left.  She charged me a full $10 for this "experience", even though I protested that $5 would be more fair as all she had done was remove the polish (and probably damage my cuticles.)   She insisted on $10 (funny- her English was good enough for that.)  I paid, which I should not have done- but I consider myself lucky to have left when I did and not risk infection or injury at the hands of someone who obviously had no clue what she was doing.  I see other people have been happy here; I wonder whether they may have recruited a relative to work on a Sunday and whether this woman was even licensed. Decide to find another nail salon. They are rude, talk about you in their language and think you don't know it, the guy that does nails is rude as well. Told me I was too picky when he did a fill for me for Nu and I gave him a few choice words and he has held a grudge over it. I see another person posted the same issue on him. They get mad when you tell them how you want your nails done as well. The last few days I have been calling they would not answer the phone or book me in as they always do. The Only nice lady there is the one that does eyebrows. She is a very sweet lady and always speaks when I walk in. The rest of them need customer service training and need to know that if it were not for the faithful paying customers they would not have a business. Will never go back again!!! Read Less

I love this nail salon! Everyone that has done my nails so far has gone above and beyond. They take their time every time and check with me on just about all of the steps to make sure everything looks good. sometimes they are super busy and will ask you to come back later, my advice, don't leave. They are a lot faster in those situations then they think;the wait is never that long. my nails can go for 2plus weeks depending on what i get done. Conversation is great as well! Read Less

This is my second time going there and it just keeps getting better. I got a full set done w/ a coffin set for $27. I'm not sure what the lady's name is that did my nails but she took her time and made sure it's what I wanted. If she did my nails a certain way and I didn't like them, she would redo them until I was satisfied and happy. Shes absolutely about the customer. Read Less

I rarely give 5 star reviews, but this nail salon has everything I love! Amazing massage chairs for pedicures, technicians that take their time, great value and lots of add ons that are reasonably priced. If we lived closer we'd be here every week!I also love that we made appts and I asked on the phone if my husband and I could do our pedicures at the same time and I wanted a manicure at the same time as my pedicure. Most places will say yes but then when you come in they only have one person and you have to wait so it takes twice as long. At Top Nail Jimmy prioritized our appt over the walk ins and made sure we had all the devices that he'd promised. So efficient!! Read Less

Omg I don't even wanna waste my time writing a review to this place. I was in a hurry trying to get my nails done so I walked in here and they were all busy but right away said they'd be with me in a minute. But the little old lady that did my pedicure (though she was very detailed and tried her best), shouldn't be doing this job. She kept pushing all the gunk from underneath my nails into the cuticle area instead of scraping it out.. My big toe was red and hurting after. Then she didn't cut it or file my toe nails I had to tell her to please cut one of the nails which was obviously longer than the rest ... She also seemed to have a very hard time polishing the nails... Didn't look like a professional did it more like I couldve just polished them myself and did a better job or had my kids do it... I like how this person did my nails but one of my nail is not in the right shape that I wanted. Plus I don't like how it charge more to get Coffin shape nails or get your nails matted. And that person painted my nails really fast and it dry ugly. Read Less

Came here on a whim bc my usual place closes at 7 and I walked in at their establishment at 7:15. I was the only customer and they were very patient, taking their time to service me well past their closing time. I felt horrible having four people sitting around, but the lady doing my manicure took her time to ensure my cuticles were cleaned & nails were trimmed. The salon has a wide variety of colors, they even carry OPI gel at no extra cost. I am impressed with the service and price, the salon also looks updated & clean, located in a newer building right off the street with ample parking. I definitely plan to become a regular customer, it's worth the drive! Btw, They also fixed my chip nail - so professionally done you cannot even tell! Read Less

I'm here visiting family and my sister and I decided to get our nails done. This is the first time we've been here. The people are nice and it's a good price for their services. I got the shellac manicure and that cost me $25. It was quick and relatively painless. I think I did get a small cut but then again my cuticles are heinous.  The shop is a little cluttered and probably needs a good deep cleaning but it's not like I am in a fancy salon in the city, right. Excellent, I rarely need a pedicure and manicure once the hang nails and torn nails get too bad I go here to get them fixed.Rose really cleaned up my mechanics hands and all the hang nails. I look civilized again. Read Less

Water was scalding, tech hurt me with the file (I do have super short nails, but still), she didn't really get my cuticles that well and the paint is pretty terrible. :( it was only $25 so I guess you get what you pay for. I won't be back. Read Less

It says Pro Top Nail on the sign and the receipt.. but why are folks saying its Paradise? Pro Top or Paradise I will take either. It has been a while since I got a mani and pedi... with my new schedule it is difficult to take some R&R to get basics like a hair cut and my nails did. After taking a peak on Yelp I found this place... 30 bucks for a basic mani and pedi on the central coast? I will take it. Emily was a great nail technician. She was super gentle and very, very thorough. The chairs were comfortable and the shop was clean. They did not charge extra for taking off my gel manicure-- huge plus! They take Visa and MC which is also a huge plus.  Make sure if you come here you aren't in a hurry. It took almost 2 hours for both the mani and pedi (usually where I go its about 1:15- 1:30). I went in for a pink and white fill the lady started ripping off my nails said because the acrylic wouldn't match. my nails were bleeding she was very rushed and harsh. My nails looked terrible and you can see dried bloodo through the acrylic and they charged me for a full set. When I complained they told me next time I should tell them that I only want a fill which I thought I did and there will never be a next time!!! Read Less
