This is my go to pedicure place. We live in the area so it's nice and convenient. What I like about these ladies is that they don't try and up sale like other places I've been. If I walk in and want a simple pedicure they just give me a simple pedicure. No hassling for flowers, extras etc. Read Less

I've driven past this place a million times and finally came yesterday for a mani/pedi.  The pedicure was $18 and the manicure was $12.  They also do waxing and facials.What I liked:The place was nice and clean.  The prices were on par with what other nail salons charge.  Both of the technicians that did my nails were super friendly and welcoming.  They both talked to me and asked questions and not at all like the silent/emotionless people at La Vie.  They did do a great job on my nails.What I didn't like:The leg massage was too soft and not very long...maybe 2 minutes.  There were only 2 technicians.  I had to sit and wait in the pedicure chair for quite a while since I was waiting for one of the girls to finish with another customer.  In the middle of my manicure, the girl doing my nails left me to go do someone's eyebrows in the back.  The people that came in after me wanting their nails done had to wait because the only 2 technicians were already working on me.  Lastly, it was the smallest color selection of nail polishes I've ever seen.  I can't stand the color on my nails because I didn't like any of the colors they had.While the girls were very nice and did do a good job, I wouldn't come back here.  There were too many cons and too many other nail salons to try to "settle" with this one. 3rd time is NOT a charm here. After being turned away two other times in the last several years, decided to stop in yesterday afternoon. I have been going to this place for couple of years now. Stephanie is the BEST!! Her attention to details is incredible and she cares so much about her customers. Me and 2 other friends went here to get 1 manicure, 1 full set, and 1 fill. We specifically asked how much the price would be over the phone, and were quoted a reasonable price. We asked if they were available to take all 3 of us, and they said they could do it as soon as we wanted. We went in, and there were 4 people working. One was doing another person's spa pedicure, and so 2 started on the full set and the manicure. The other person supposedly "didn't do" fills, which left one of us waiting.This was the longestttt pedicure I've ever seen anyone get. Because when the full set was almost over, they were just finishing up (it seems like they waited that long so she didn't have to do the fill). And one of us didn't get anything, as we were waiting for so long. The price was way more expensive than quoted, and they were rude and very argumentative. Horrible service. I love this place!  It's so CLEAN inside.  The massage chairs actually massages my back unlike most other places.  I always get my pedicure done with Callie.  She does a great job in cleaning my cuticles and she's does an awesome job with diaganol french style.  She also really good with drawing flowers too.  I am so glad to have found this place. Not impressed. I am picky about my nails, so maybe I just expect my sets to last at least two weeks, but I'm lucky if they last a full five days from this place. Both Steph and the man who sits at the end have done my nails, and they both royally suck. The man doesn't listen whatsoever, responds to everything in a really nervous giggle, which makes me think he may not be fluent in English and wings his way through doing nails. Oh and not to mention, one of their nail techs hit my car in the parking lot. Steph argued that my nails were breaking because I have thick cuticles. Then CUT them. I'll continue to go to Escape at Tiffany in Mira Mesa. It may be more of a drive, but my nails last a full month for the same price, they listen and they don't make excuses for shoddy work. This is around the corner from my house, so I figured I'd give it a try, since it was Friday and the other nail place I go to in Santee is always loud and busy. I wasn't disappointed. I walked into a clean, calm, and friendly nail shop. Steph, the owner greeted me at the door and I was immediately sat down for my manicure. I also got a color change on my toes. Callie did a great job on my manicure. I loved that she spoke English well and she was nice to talk to. The drawback is a serious lack of colors to choose from(Which is why I took a star away), but I usually bring my own anyway. I will say that it wasn't the best manicure I've ever received, but it wasn't the worst. But, Callie and her customer service stood out and I'll return because of it and the calming music they played in the background. It was serene. Prices are affordable. Manicure was $12. Toe color change $7, extra $3 for French. **As a warning, I would be sure to get there before or well after the lunch hour.  They are right next door to a VERY busy deli, which makes parking near impossible during that time.  I got there at 10:300am, and got a great spot, but trying to leave after 11a was killer, due to all the cars trying to get in and out. I've gone to this salon three times so far and LOVE it. First time I just went in was to have a fill and Mimi soaked off my old set and put a new set on. Who soaks off nails anymore??? NO ONE!!! They are too lazy! My new set was beautiful and BEST of all I last a WHOLE MONTH with out having a fill. Yes, a whole month. Never made a month before, barely two weeks at any other place. Most importantly, they speak english to each other. No one is speaking another language. My second treatment was also a fill done by Mimi again and once again she did a wonderful job! Her art work is creative and fun (flowers and designs). She uses high quality products too. I also too advantage of their waxing services. I had a braz. wax and let me tell you....they made an uncomfortable situation/service as comfortable as it could be. Much more than my "regular" lady that I was paying almost twice as much for in North County. They are super clean and respectful. I can't say enough good things about Steph's Nails. Steph's Nails and Spa recently moved from El Cajon. They were located on Broadway Ave in El Cajon and had been there for many years. The new shop in Santee is wonderful. I have been going to Steph and Mimi for several years now and I love how Mimi makes my nail look so beautiful and they not only stay nice looking for 4-5 weeks without filling them in between. That I don't have to tell you if you get your nails done... is not only convenient but very cost effective. I love to get a spa pedicure from Steph, my feet feel great and I don't have to do a polish touch up myself when I get home as so often happened in previous spas. If you give them a try you won't be sorry and for those who lost them when they moved ... they are waiting for you. Read Less
