They didn't have a real good green example on the display of nail colors/designs so the owner, (I think she is Q) made a few variations for me to choose from. She made the perfect green ! I usually get my nails done in La Jolla but I live in Santee and I needed to get my nails done locally. I went in taking my chances and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm very picky and usually keep an eye on the nail artists and their every move. I was able to sit back and relax and I didn't even have to open my mouth once about their work. The salon is super clean and well maintained. All tubs are wrapped in disposable plastic liners and all tools are opened in front of you. They also had an impressive collection of brand name polishes and a set up easy to choose from. All of the staff that I interacted with were super friendly. Complimentary drink (alcoholic and non alcoholic) offered with any service of 20$ so it was nice to have something to sip on while relaxing. I am new to the area and finding new service providers is overwhelming, but this one took care of itself. Great location, great hours, clean salon!Kim and Mimi are the best! I look forward to my "spa" day and they are always so glad to see me. I am a professional woman and a runner, so having my nails done and well cared for feet are critical for me, and these ladies do just that!I recommend an appointment if you want a specific technician but I have never seen anyone wait long if you need to pop in at the last minute. The salon is fun, always full of chatter and laughter, it is very inventing. The owner is always available as well and he is a great guy. My first visit to Q's was great.  This one was pretty awful. My husband and I went in for mani/pedis (my pedicure was a gel polish).  We both paid extra for the callus remover and mud mask, which was a complete waste. The calluses on my feet are not even slightly gone....I literally can't tell that any "remover" treatment was done. As for the mud mask and massage, both my husband and I agreed that the techs just lazily smeared mud and lotion on our legs.  No massage, no grip strength, just limp hands. When it came to my manicure, I had to ask Ryan three times to clean up cuticles that he missed.  I finally gave up and just left very unhappy with the entire experience. My feet and nails are not looking any better than when I arrived. Finally, either Ryan (the guy doing my nails) had a nasty cold or he was snorting big lines of coke. The guy was sniffling and snorting about every 30 seconds.  And if he was just fighting a cold, that's disgusting that they had him at work, touching my feet and hands, spreading germs. We are super disappointed because we wanted a good nail salon out in the Santee area. Based on this experience, we will have to keep looking.  I feel like we completely wasted the $100 that we spent. I was looking for a new nail salon and I'm so glad I came to Q's! Everyone is helpful and it really seems like a friendly environment. Janet did my full set and I LOVE it. She's super funny and converses with you the whole time which is a plus since most people don't even talk to you! She's professional and made sure I was satisfied with my nails. Was unhappy with a bad design  I got at another salon - couldn't get in to get it fixed. My friend recommended I come to see Johnny here...BUT Johnny was sick - so I got Jane. She did amazing! This place is excellent!! Customer service is amazing. They are always willing to work with you! Also there quality of work is fantastic. Janet and johnny have done my nails and I love them!! Super friendly environment. Plus you get an alcoholic drink for free with 20 dollars worth of service.  The place is very clean and open. So unlike other nail salons you don't feel crowded as much. They also have tons of colors for gel and regular polish. As well as they offer dipped nails now. The accept walk-ins but on the weekend be prepare for a little wait as they get busy. Christina is awesome. She can copy any design you show her. The gel quality is really good and it stays almost a month for me. Check out my nails and you can see what I mean. 1st visit was for a pedicure amd Tammy was friendly. Pedicures are good. That's about it. 2nd trip - My daughter asked for white tip new set ($30) and they charged me for their pink amd white set ($42).  The nail tech never clarified, nor did he mentioned the ridiculous price difference. The shape was not even and both thumbs were totally off. I had a gel manicure ($30) while she was getting her nails done. Not good either. You can see the "lines" of the polish, which make it look bumpy and not even. The nail lady was very nice, but they need to take more time on clean work. I was already a little annoyed because they claim a free drink with $20+. My daughter did not want anything, but my little one asked for apple juice, so I asked if she could just have her drink, the guy (assuming manager or owner) kept saying something to my nail tech and avoiding getting the drink. It was PRETTY rude. I really did want to like this place, but I def think after this last trip & spending  $72+tip I will stick to Crystals.Wish them best of luck. Read Less

I went in and asked if they did dipping in the powder for the nails. They just started getting different powders. I had a natural pink done on my nails with tips. Janet did my nails and did a fabulous job!! Gina did my pedicure and I was very happy.The massage chairs are really nice. You also get a choice of a complimentary beverage during your visit. I'll start by saying I've had acrylics on for about 5 years now so I know what I like and what I don't like. I've been searching for a technician to go to consistently but I just haven't found one...until today, when I met Janet! I absolutely loved the laid back vibe of this salon, plus you get complementary soft drinks and alcohol. Janet took her time and really did an amazing job on my nails. I've had my fair share of really bad nail salons/technicians in the past so I'm always nervous to go to someone new. A good spot to relax with a complimentary drink for services over $20. Their lychee mimosas are delicious. There is a selection of wine and non alcoholic drinks as well. Perfect for a girl meet up to relax and get pampered. They have a children play area which is nice for mama's who can't catch a full break. The space is nice with two rows of spa pedi machines which use liners. Cleanliness is on point and the selection of colors is neatly displayed. Selections of services are neatly displayed on laminated paper with decent prices. I've only come here for pedicures and gel manicures.I am only docking a point because the last time I went in for a gel manicure, it chipped the next day which sucks cause I had it done for a wedding. Didn't go back to get it fixed so I'm unsure if they have a guarantee policy for gel manis to last the 2 weeks as other salons do.The location is at a corner in the plaza, which is nice but parking can get competitive with the chuze gym next door. The place is clean, there's a great variety of polishes. The mimosa was good, but the man who did my pedicure cut my cuticles so short that i have a scab on my toe still, a week later. This place is amazing! Beautiful decor, very clean, comfy seats and super friendly staff. Took their time to make sure my gel manicure was perfect. Also loved that you could get a drink while getting your nails done. I had to go to work right after this visit but next time I'll defiantly be coming on my day off to enjoy a beverage with my mani pedi haha. Prices were fair for the service you receive. I LOVE THIS PLACE. This was my first time here and right when I came in I was greeted and asked what I was coming in for. I was promptly seated in one of their awesome pedicure chairs and was offered a drink (complimentary drink with $20 or more purchase). I got the classic pedicure with callus treatment. My pedicure looks great and the callus treatment was great as well. All I can say is this place is amazing! This is exactly what I was looking for. Top notch nail salon service. The polish wall is INSANE. First time I haven't had to bring my own polish! The chairs are comfy and clean. The free drinks are a plus! The extra time and attention paid to the pedicure was worth every penny. You have so many choices in pedicure services down to what scents you get for the scrub or masks. I tired this place 4times. The first set I had put on stayed on, the second set I lost 1 acrylic nail. Came back in for a fill. Told the manicurist that I saw that 3 of my nails had pulled away from the natural nail and I asked if it needed to be glued down or taken off and or re done. She completely ignored me and continued to not do anything about the nails I was worried about. Not even 3 days later, 2 out of the 3 nails that needed to be " re done" had broken off. Then not even 1 day later, the 3rd nail came off. And they are super over priced. Just went to Mimi's nail salon in santee, and they where so nice and did an awesome job on my new set of nails. I've been to this salon about three times and never experienced a wait. They have a lot of spa chairs and techs on staff. The biggest plus about this establishment is their nail color selection. There is so much variety and it is neatly arranged by color spectrum and brand, A+. They offer basic pedicures but also many other package options. There was no need to upsell me because I asked for the royal package which included 10 mins of massage and a scrub. I love getting a scrub on my legs/feet because they need a little TLC. Scrubbing off the dead skins cells is always a good idea. My visits are never rushed and they're very clean. They use a disposable liner in the pedicure tub for each client, this should be standard for all nail salons.The biggest plus is the complimentary beverage for $20 up on service.
